“LOST” and the Law
“LOST” turned up in downtown Honolulu today, returning to the old Honolulu Police Station, the historic Walter Murray Gibson building at the corner of Nuuanu and Merchant streets. This location previously played the lockup where Sarah bailed Jack out in the Season 3 premiere, “A Tale of Two Cities.” And it looks like the building continues to be typecast.
Most of the filming was done inside, though some street shots required the strategic placement of Los Angeles Police Department cruisers. Like yesterday’s shoot in Waikiki, Josh Holloway (Sawyer) was the main castmember on the set. This time, though, he was joined by Ken Leung (Miles), and a third actor or character referred to as “Liam.” There was no word on how the scenes were unfolding, but crew chatter suggested two apparent settings: the police station, and a locker room.
Across the street, the staff at Murphy’s Bar & Grill (another “LOST” location) posted to Twitter: “Ooh Josh Holloway is super handsome.” Murphy’s ended lunch service early in order to feed much of the crew.

Lost Season Six: "Who's Going to Live, Who's Going to Die?" - E! Online
We find that a lot of good literature follows the same tropes and arcs, so in hopes of getting a teeny-tiny bit of clarity on the final-season direction of some of Lost's major romantic storylines, we asked Lost boss Lindelof to compare Sawyer's love life on Lost to the love story in any other fictional work. "Wow," said Lindelof, "Sawyer's love life compared to any..." (He looked a little dazed at all the possible options, so we threw The Notebook, Jane Eyre and Gilligan's Island at him as totally random starting points for thinking about the question.) "All way off so far!" Lindelof said. "Perhaps the relationship between Gilligan and the Skipper, because there's a lot of hitting on the head with hats...OK. Serious...I think Wuthering Heights is probably a good one then. We've got a little Heathcliff action going on."

“LOST” on the Menu
The focus of activity was “The Lotus” (formerly the “W”), a luxury, 50-room boutique hotel, and specifically the Diamond Head Grill, a decidedly stylish and upscale lounge and restaurant. Fashionably dressed extras came and went from the set all morning. And while all the action was taking place behind closed doors, two castmembers were immediately familiar when they emerged shortly before noon.
Josh Holloway (Sawyer) was spotted, looking quite handsome, wearing black pants and a purple shirt. But his companion was an even more striking sight, in a colorful evening dress: Rebecca Mader (Charlotte).

Lost Boss Answers You: So Is There Any Freaking Romance in Season Six or What?! - E! Online
For those fans of Lost who are invested in the romance on the show, will there be anything for them this year, or is this primarily a mythology season?
That's an excellent question. Our focus remains where it's always been: on the characters. And there are significant and emotional bonds, from both the friendship and the romantic angle, that we would be remiss in not exploring; we probably won't be exploring them in the way that you think. That's my official answer.

Another Set Report from Le Point d'Exclamation@DarkUFO
*filming appears to be back on the "normal" island timeline following on from the s5 finale and I managed to see Jack, Kate, Claire, Miles, Sayid filming.
*Those other set and contruction reports that you've been posting are correct and it pretty large and impressive and it is the temple which is in the jungle. here is some stuff that I managed to see and findout about. Ive no blinkn' idea wot is going on but you and the fans might
*We still see that Sayid is recoving from his gunshot wound, he must have been bleedin for 4 months ha must have good blood bank!, covered in blood still. Hurley is still damn big but a top bloke! seems the nicest one on the set by a long way!
*Everyone else is covered in dirt, muck and other **** and all those funky dharma jumpsuits appear to be gone. not sure what happened to them. didnt like to ask the big smelly security guard as he munched on some hugely greasy baloni roll!
*The next part is pretty confusing and Ive no idea what I saw but will try to explain it as best I can. our losties appear to be attacked by what I can only describe as "other" others. These other others dont look quite like what we have become accustomed to as their clothing is pretty different.looks a lot darker and lots of red, seems almost Asian or ethnic, and in fact seems quite "piraty" as some have banadas (spelling? not bananas yu fckers!!!!) on and they are all carry guns. I could not see what the guns were like if they were new or old but they look long.
*They seemed to be filming a big bloody fight sequence between our losties and these crazy pirate like others. Sawyer grabs a gun and someone gets shot and he goes into the temple.
Jack tends to sayids wound and is then being carried by 2 or more people, jack and kate appear to hug/kiss or something and hold hands but it was hard to make out all the detail.
*The filming then broke went inside and I could not see what was going on but it seems that the losties have been captured and taken inside the temple. that is just my speculation but i chatted to this spotty kid with huge king lears later who said the same thing.
*then later they filmed another scene where 2 guys who he thinks might be important come out. One is some Asian dude with longblack hair who looked like something out of the Pirates of the bleedin Carribean. the other guy looked very distinctive, white , facial hair, looked like some sort of hippie dude. He was far too far away to see who it actually was but it could have been that Horace goodspeed or whatever or maybe even that scientist bloke from those crazy scratched dharma films DeGroot or whatever his name was.

Sawyer and Kate at Dock - Wayfinder via The ODI
Kate and Sawyer were doing a scene together at the end of the dock today at Kualoa Gardens. We watched them for a good 40 minutes, but we were too far away to hear anything. All I can tell you is, it was definitely present day and it was on the island. This is interesting since they supposedly landed in LAX safe and sound.

Set report from Extra - via Chinese Chicken@DarkUFO
Hey mate, got a friend who was lucky enough to play an extra for some recent Lost filming. My friend for obvious reasons couldn't say anything direct, but I can pass some onto you and your site. My mate was on an inflight airplane set!. Buddy has never seen the show before, so tried to get as much as I could based on descriptions (and my guesses).
The plane resembles flight 815 and get this mate, on it were Jack, Kate (in cuffs) and with some guy (the marshall? unconfirmed), Sayid, flight attendant lady (Cindy? I think he means), and CHARLIE!!!! Could have been more but that's all my friend could describe. Everyone was in precrash clothing!. Can't say what happened except it looks like Charlie has accident (overdoses?) in the loo. Reset? Alt-Timeline who knows LOL!

From Ryan - ‘LOST’ On Arrival
After a long holiday weekend (capping off a long week of late-night shoots), the “LOST” crew was out and about early this morning. The news came courtesy former coworkers whose parking lot was commandeered as the production’s base camp.
The set was none other than Honolulu International Airport, which (as indicated by a “Welcome to Los Angeles” sign) was reprising its role as LAX. Several dozen extras were brought into the baggage claim area, and the large carousels were set in motion, delivering luggage to weary looking travelers. At least one Oceanic Airlines logo was spotted, nearly lost among other signs that would likely welcome specific passengers. And outside, vehicles were prepped with California plates.
All in all, it was a bustling airport scene, and one that strongly suggests what The Powers That Be hinted might unfold as Season 6 began: the safe arrival of Oceanic Flight 815 at LAX.
Indeed, expected on the set were Matthew Fox (Jack), Evangeline Lilly (Kate), Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and Naveen Andrews (Sayid). But the first hardworking actor sighted was none other than Daniel Roebuck, who played the hapless (and previously detonated) Dr. Leslie Arzt.

Season 6 New Set Pic - Losties arrive at LAX (Alternate Timeline) - via Over the EJ @ DarkUFO
Looks like things pick up immediately after Juliet hits the bomb because the construction site looks like the Swan after it got sucked in. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Miles, Jin were there. Saw Sawyer upset over Juliet's actions and runs toward the hole which is now stuffed with all the metal from the site. Also saw them and some stunt doubles clumb out of the hole using vines/rope.
Didn't see them filming, but saw Hurley and Sayid around set. Sayid's Dharma uniform was covered in a lot of blood so it looks like he's still hurt from last season.

LOST Spoilers: Some Season 6 Snippets from Adam Kitsis and Carlton Cuse
*This season's motto could be "All killer, no filler." The pedal is through the floor, and this final season is gonna be amazingly kick-ass
*"Did everything reset?"-esque questions are what we should be asking.
*Master plan? Like somebody else said, more like a roadmap... but yes, they knew where things would lead.
*"... that's the case with flashbacks, flashforwards, or whatever's in season six..."
* there are some things better not knowing, but we will get answers to many things. "There will be a balance of answers and acceptable mystery." - Carlton
*Many faces from past seasons will appear in season six, including Charlie, possible Cindy (the flight attendant) and the kids.
*Season six will have a fairly significant spiritual bent.
*The final shot of the show is already planned.

Minor Filming Update and Set Pics
The secret "hatch" set with super tight security was active once again today and our source confirmed that Josh Holloway (Sawyer) was on set and sent along some set pics of the shiny new Dharma Van.

Filming report via Ryan's podcast
This past week they filmed mostly at night., all deep in the jungles of Kaneohe, at Heiia Kea. One fan got a great photo of Evangeline Lilly , but no real news of what was going on. Just that they were filming 'a very intense scene'. (This fan's speculation and not a spoiler, was that maybe Kate and Sawyer were dealing with what may or may not have happened to Juliet.)
The only other actors that were spotted there were Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway and Ken Leung, but we don't know when/where exactly they are, and no signs so far of Juliet, Hurley or Sayid.

TV Guide Magazine | Keck's Exclusives | Lost Stars Spill New Season Secrets at Comic-Con
Elizabeth Mitchell has been under a gag order not to speak ever since Lost's season finale aired in May. But she finally broke her silence with me. "What happened at the very end of the season is they told me that the character of Juliet had reached a natural conclusion," says Liz. "It was very sudden, but I said 'Okay,' thinking that was the end of it. People knew I was available and I got a bunch of scripts. I fell in love with V and said I would do it. It was really crazy because I wasn't planning on jumping back into another series. And then Lost's LaFleur episode aired and the fan response was really good, so then Lost called again, and that's what I can't talk about. It's possible Juliet's just dead, but I think it's going to be a little bit more than that. I hope that when she comes back she can give Sawyer a really good reason for going on. What I really want is to have a big old fight with Ben, but that will probably never happen. But we will definitely see her again. They haven't really told me how many episodes I'll be doing but ABC said they'd work it out. They did when I was shooting the V pilot. I literally did four days of V, four days of Lost, four days of V."

Everything You Need to Know From the Lost Events at Comic-Con - E! Online
SEASON SIX
• Season six of Lost will be reminiscent of season one in that there will be a lot of running through the jungle and emotional development for the characters.
• The marketing graphic for Lost season six included all our favorite characters (heralding the return of many of them) but the important thing is that the last character added to the animation was Locke, and he was very obviously facing backward, while all the other characters were facing forward. Ahhh, Unlocke!
• According to Carlton the time-travel season is over and the flash-forward season is over and they're moving on to something altogether different for season six.
• According to Josh Holloway in the press room, Sawyer will be destroyed by the tragedy of Juliet, pushing him back towards his original, more "salty" character. He'll still carry around season's five character growth, but he'll be rejecting it. He also told us (and forgive the gross paraphrase-on-the-run): Functional relationships (Suliet) don't make for good drama. Skate is better TV.
CHARACTERS
• The extensive backstory of Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) will be explored in season six.
• Dominic Monaghan was introduced to the crowd following an In Memoriam montage of all the dead characters (in which it was revealed that Libby's last name is Smith). We can assume a return for Charlie is all but guaranteed.
• As we learned earlier this summer, Elizabeth Mitchell will appear on Lost in season six. According to Damon, her survival is contigent upon Jack's plan working.
• Jeremy Davies will appear as Daniel Faraday in Lost season six.
ALTERNATE TIMELINES
• According to a clip from America's Most Wanted, Kate Austen did not in fact kill her stepfather in an explosion, but she killed his employee, a plumber's assistant, instead. Have we wandered into alternate-timeline territory? And could that timeline possibly start before the crash of Oceanic 815? Two other videos that hinted at an alternate timeline were Mr. Cluck's (starring CEO Hugo Reyes) and an Oceanic Airlines commercial that said they've never had a crash...
• Another nod to alternate timelines was a funny fake video clip of Michael Emerson auditioning to play Hurley in 2004 wearing a bandana and cargo shorts.

Matthew Fox Chats About Season 6 and End of Show
*The opening scene in Season 6 will confirm what happened in the Season 5 Finale and that it will be both confusing and surprising at first.
*About a third of the way through the season both time lines will be "solidified into one time" and there will be one linear time throughout the story on the island with no more flashbacks.
*When describing the end of the show he uses several different adjectives. He confirms talking to Damon Lindelof many times about it and that each time he does that it is surprising that it is so "moving". Some of the words he uses are Beautiful, Redemptive, Sad and ends with saying it is just Awesome!

Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof drop hints about how ABC hit drama will end - Sunday Mercury
Says Cuse: "The end of the show will be a combination of trying to answer mysteries the audience still cares about, such as the statue and the Smoke Monster.
"We'll also be answering the skeletons in the cave question. We will answer the questions we feel are important and central to the plot.
"At the same time we will be trying to tell redemption stories about the characters. These characters do indeed have a destiny."

Watch with Kristin spoiler chat: season finale; Sawyer/Kate
Sara in Rome: The last episode of Lost killed my Skate shipper heart. This should be the moment when you comfort us by telling us everything will be OK. Right? Right?
You guys have got to stop living episode-to-episode (you're going to give yourselves coronaries!) and start thinking long-term. Why? Because long-term, everything will be OK! Promise.

New York Post interview with Lindelof & Cuse
"Not everybody is interested in Faraday's mission," says Lindelof. "It's a very divisive issue and one that the audience is feeling too. It would be a big cheat, erasing the last five years of the show, and making it so that we never came to this island in the first place."
The show has been a wild and often confusing ride, but Lindelof and Executive Producer Carlton Cuse say they know exactly where it's all headed.
"That was a conversation that started back between seasons one and two of the show," says Lindelof. "We are following the plan pretty much to the letter, although there is room for improvisation." Lindelof says next season - which will be the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning series' last - will bring things full circle.
"Season six will feel a lot like season one," says Lindelof. "The focus comes back to the characters with whom we began. We've been winnowing away everyone else who came along. The Tailies are gone, only Miles [Ken Leung] is left of the Freighter Folk and only Juliet [Elizabeth Mitchell] is left of The Others. We're getting down to the end now."
"The metaphor we like to use is that this is a road trip. We know we intend to end up in New York City, but maybe we'll pick up a hitchhiker or stop at a bar and get drunk along the way," says Cuse.
"And then linger there for six episodes," jokes Lindelof.

May 9, 2009
THR.com interview with Lindelof & Cuse
The ultimate goal of humanity is to mature in some way, and the characters on Lost are no different. Their hope is that by the final episode of the series we'll be able to look at them in contrast to the pilot and say "Wow, I've spent six years of my life on these people, and they've really changed" - or attempted to (there are three categories: "Change", "Tried to change", and "Die").

Official Audio Podcast with Lindelof & Cuse | recap
- The S5 finale will satisfy fans because has a good mythological advancement, but will make people frustrated about waiting 8 months to see what happens next, because the ending has a S1 feeling according to Carlton: like when they opened/blew up the hatch and didn't show the content, and we went "You're kidding me". Damon says that they've promised that S6 would reflect somehow S1, and they're starting that this season, which has Jack at the Swan, just where S1 ended.
- Fan question: where does the compass come from? Carlton says that it's a fashinating puzzle that has no solution. Damon: if you ask them where it comes from, they would turn the answer - what came first, the chicken or the egg? Carlton: the idea that there is an infinitive loop is a very intentional motif that is excuted here. One of the challenges of the show is that they believe in a larger world of mystery and magic and they have no intention to demisty that world of Lost overexplaining things. The fact that the compass exists between those two characters is just a cool piece of mystery and magic.
- Damon feels that this finale (and the S6 premiere) will give us a good dea of where ths is all heading and will end.
- Damon makes a list of names to put under "Good Guys", "Bad Guys", "Haven't decided yet". Carlton puts Kate, Hurley and Frank under "Good Guys", Rchard under "Haven't decided yet", and Sayid under "Bad Guys".

Ask Ausiello: Finale Ending
Question: Got any scoop on the Lost finale? --Carolyn
Ausiello:
Funny, we posed that exact question to Damon Lindelof at the Hollywood premiere of Star Trek earlier this week. "All I will say is that it is time for the time travel craziness to end," he said. "And once it does end, something very, very surprising will happen in its wake. It is a little bit of a game-changer."

"In the great tradition of the show, we have tried to end the season in a dramatic fashion," says Lost exec producer Carlton Cuse, "but we want to leave a lot of things up in the air - particularly going into the last season. [...]
It is expected to leave the fates of multiple characters in jeopardy until the series returns for its final season in early 2010.

MP: Is that stuff about Skate in season six reliable?
Ummm...not to spoil everybody for everything ever, but based on reading Harry Potter up through Half-Blood Prince, I can reliably tell you that Ron and Hermoine get together in Deadly Hallows. Either that or everybody dies, but Hermoine-Draco? Not ever gonna be canon.

TVWeek - Masters of Sci-Fi: Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindelof
'It’s too soon for either man to be discussing his next project, but both were willing to offer a few words that describe the next season of “Lost.”
“Non-paradoxical,” said Mr. Lindelof.
“Time travel,” added Mr. Cuse. “But it’s much tougher to do time travel when your rule of time travel is, nothing you go back to do in the past can change what happens in the future.”'

February 20, 2008
From EW: Jeff Jensen interview with Lindelof and Cuse
- Adam and Eve, the skeletons, will be adressed but not this season;
- The larger mythos, like "The Purge", will come back in season 5;
- NO to alternative realities, because they want the audience to invest in the story and the characters and what happens to them - that doesn't exclude time travel and bending of the space/time continuum though

Lost Episode 6.08 - Recon - Filming Details | LOST Rumours
The scene is actually very boring but it's overtones tell you where they are going with the show. Sawyer is working with someone on the telephone. He gets up from the table and uses the restroom and receives instructions from the person on the phone. Sawyer is playing the redhead Charlotte because he knows she has been on the island. Sawyer runs his usual con but Charlotte doesn't bite. She senses Sawyer is trying to play her and she calls him on it. Sawyer tells her the truth and about him knowing she was on the island as a child and this entire thing connects back to Charles Widmore. Sawyer wants "on the boat", and the man he is talking to on the phone seems to be in charge of Sawyer. That's about it. Nothing to exciting.
Other small stuff:
Sawyer is dressed very nice as is Charlotte.
When Sawyer uses the phone he says he is going to the restroom but he just walks into a little hallway near the restroom
Sawyer picked her up earlier in the day and charmed her (this is referred to)
Sawyer knew exactly what Charlotte would want to eat and drink and this raises red flags for her
Charlotte keeps looking at an asian man in the restaurant and Sawyer notices this. This is when they quickly walk out of the restaurant together.
We were told they were filming a fight scene later in the day at another location.with Sawyer in the scene with the Asian man
