No, there are no rules in Lost. Certain episodes will have flash forwards, others of the flash back, others will have neither one nor the other.

The conflict between the hostiles and Dharma will be explored more in season 4.

Scant Season Four Details

Spoiler:

- They are looking at a mix of flash backs and flash words, with a larger number of flash forwards.
- The flash forwards tell a linear story, but will be presented in non-linear format from the vantage point of different characters. (This kills the 'only Kate and Jack' got off the island theory.) The big kicker is the Flash Forwards will be shot, according to the source, in Los Angeles.
- Production will begin in mid-August and complete in March.

Lost Rumours: Interesting Casting rumours for Season 4

Spoiler:

1) Negotiations with Harold Perrineau and Malcolm David Kelley are being made with Malcolm contract practically agreed and feelings are that agreement with Harold's people is very close.
2) Only one new actor will enter in the fixed cast, and the actor currently being sought for this role is Peter Stormare.
3) The producers have invited the actor Forest Whitaker to participate in two episodes at the start of the season.

Season 4 Rumours by JOE

Spoiler:

1. The AICN stuff about flash-forwards and flash-backs is true. It will be roughly split in half, the flash-forwards will tell a story culminating with how we saw season 3 end. That doesn't necessarily mean just Jack and Kate get off the island, but whatever flash-forwards we see will culminate with Jack deciding they have to go back and trying to convince Kate.
2. The flash-backs will be mostly from Others: Juliet, Ben, Alpert, although Desmond is definitely slated for at least 1.
3. The temple is important, and will be explored in the last half of the season
4. Rousseau isn't telling the truth about her experience on the island
5. Karl and Alex will have a more central role.
6. Sawyer and Kate will continue to be distant.
7. Locke will not be part of the main group of castaways for the majority of the season, he will be off to the temple with Alpert and then doing his own thing.
8. You won't be able to tell right away that what arrives in the ship is bad news, but it absolutely is

- The rumor is true about cast member having problems on the show and they want off the show.....and they will NOT be missed by many of the cast members.
- Harold Perrineau is asking for a lot of money and does want to be a regular.
- We will meet Naomi's crew sometime next season, but no one has been cast yet...
- We will find out what happened to Annie.....it is another chapter of Ben's story that will be seen at some point early in the season...
- Alan Dale (Widmore) will be seen again...
- Nick Jameson (Richard Malkin the Psychic) will make another appearance this season...
- The season will focus on 2 (two) main story arcs that will occur during the season and will explain many of the things we are all wondering about....
- Ben and Locke will fight and that will question Locke's loyalty...
- Desmond's future is told in a Season 2 (TWO) episode and it will be tested during this season..

Every single muscle of my body aches, but I'm alive. :lol. Remember when I said tomatos were one of my favourite vegetable? After dealing with 95 kilos of them, I think I've changed my mid.

Some update about the CBS spoilers? Are we still going to make our "one suspect a day" thing?

And here is a big hint to what is really going on, something that will start to be revealed in season 4. If you really want a clue to the big question of "Where are they" rewatch Exodus, Part 2 (season 1 finale) very carefully. That's all I'll say on that.

I've nothing against Juliet, I like her a lot and loved the Sawyer/Juliet interaction in the S3 finale, but this quadrangle thing is starting to sound ridiculous (if the source is legit, I still doubt it). Hint in Exodus part II... now I'm a bit confused about part I and II, I should rewatch only the second part.

IMDB guy could be using other sources to make his "spoilers" up though, the Danielle thing came out yesterday by CBS guy.

If they want to go with Jack and Kate, they should go for it as soon as possible. I think it already is, but the writers probably disagree with me.

About the rest, I agree with you: they went too far in showing how involved Sawyer is with Kate to make strong feelings for another woman believable. I can only picture Sawyer alone if not with Kate, at this point, and it isn't Skate bias. Not-romantic "Suliet" interaction, I would love it.

I meant already late, but I also think that Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve. When Cuse said their relationship was ultimate I believe he also meant romantically. If that's the case, then they should start soon with developing their relationship. With only 48 episodes left there's no need for creating additional drama, which is what they could've been doing with Sawyer and Juliet.

Juliet already is Ana's replacement but a more educated and rafined one.

I honestly don't know what to hope for in case of a Jate scenario. Logically, and for consistency's sake, they should start to built it up now in a real romantic way if their relationship is such a key for the whole series arc. BUT, considering that I'm stuck with Lost until Sawyer is alive, I don't know if I can bear the thought of witnessing 3 seasons of Jate. Make Jack and Kate hook up in the last season of the show (to spare the audience from cringing because of the total lack of chemistry) sucks story-wise, but as a spoiler whore I would simply stop watching the last 10 episodes of the series and be able to follow Sawyer without throwing up at some scenes. Logic or self-preservation? Of course, if they had to "use" Sawyer only as angst factor for Jate, go with J/K asap. I can always download the clips I'm interested about at J-H.com if I can't manage to see certain obscenities on my screen.
