New York Yankees #29: The C&C Baseball Factory, anyone?
WELCOME to the New York Yankees Thread! ~Golden Rule~ Don't Bash The Yankees ~Story of the Thread~ This thread dates back to the 2001 World Series. Before we lost to the Arizona Diamondback - as we watched the Playoffs, DJ's awesome plays included - Yankee fans gathered in the old Request thread to request a Yankee board (how pretentious, huh? ). Of course, we didn't have enough votes to get one so we decided to start our own thread here in the Sports Board. 26 World Championships? We'll try to do better next century. The thing is though, we love them nonetheless... ~Past Threads~ NY Yankees #8 - Once A Yankee, Always A Yankee New York Yankees #9- Time to go fishing ... That was probably the worst start in Wang's career. He'll rebound, but still. Boo.
Something has to be done with Derek's defense though. I know his nagging injuries this year have skewed things, but he was an unmitigated statue tonight. |

Today, not so good. I am really worried about Wang. I hope it is not his finger. That blister was ugly a few weeks ago. __________________

You're not slow. That's what the YES folks mean. I think.
It just popped in my head to combine the two, for a title suggestion -- one that obviously isn't working out all that well. |

Hi everyone! Thanks for the new thread, Jackie.
What's up with the Yankees nowadays? It's good they're closing in on the Red Sox. I watched the game where Alex and Josh Towers almost had a fight. Did Rocket really hit Rios intentionally? __________________

Yeah...it was retaliation for them hitting Alex in that game, after already having thrown behind him the day before.

He also just got suspended for five games because of it. They really should have just waited a day. Or had Farnsworthless do it.
I think I'm going to magically forget to set the TiFaux for tomorrow's game. |

I know. Poor Chien. Oh well, he can't win them all. I feel for him. Oh, I wish I can save enough money to go to New York and watch the All-Star game next year. It's going to cost me, though. So Rocket really did it on purpose. Was it that obvious? I didn't get to see it..

It was definitely obvious. Clemens' command that game up until then was terrific. He wouldn't have missed by that much on accident.
Edit: Scary: Phil doesn't even have his good FB or command yet and he just went 6 IP 1 ER 4 H 6 K 1BB -- and should have had an even better line if the ump wasn't a bitch and/or Melky and Bobby could communicate. Great: Joba tonight. Awesome: Phil and Joba pitching back to back. Best game everrrr. Last edited by -Bianca-; 08-10-2007 at 06:49 PM |

Dude, WTH? I know you don't believe but there's no need to go all Benedict Arnold on us, is there? __________________
