Story of the thread

This thread dates back to the 2001 World Series. Before we lost to the Arizona Diamondback -we watched the Playoffs, DJ's awesome plays included

- Yankee fans gathered in the old Request thread to request a Yankee board (how pretentious, huh?)

Of course, we didn't have enough votes to get one so we decided to start our own thread here in the Sports Board.

->26 World Championships... We'll try to do better next century. The thing is though, we love them nonetheless..

Plus, it's this time of year, we need heroes like him!

Yanks tied O's in the 6th 1-1.

Boston down 7-1.

So, what have I missed during the game? Did A-Rod homer and does that put him back where he should be in the AL lead?

ETA: Cracker-Jacks, just saw the replay and, yeah, he was definitely, without a doubt, safe!

Ah well, hopefully that won't be the difference in the game.

And hell yeah to that caught stealing. Excellent throw Posada and excellent tag/catch Cano.

yes ARod hit his 47th which means he has the lead AND passed JoeDs record of most homers in a single season by a right hander, now its his record to beat

Chacon has pitched a beauty....we're up 2-1 but it should be 3-1 cuz Bernie got called out at home plate when he was CLEARLY safe (stupid umpires)

and now Joe is taking Chacon out of the game and bringing in Gordon....I hope Gordon is having an on-day cuz theres a guy on second, but at least its two outs.

ETA: one pitch and he got the out....and we're off to the 8th!!

With the Indians and BoSux losing Woo!

The Indians losing is such good news.

The CS business, not so much.

I was almost in tears. They were like the look of love to me and it was such a shock. Hopefully it'll all work out. I just hope it doesn't affect the show too much. That cast is so close and I'd hate to see this tear them apart.

And yeah, we're too alike. It's a good thing.
