New York Yankees #16 - In Mo We Trust

WELCOME to the New York Yankees aka Bronx Bombers thread.

~Golden Rule~
Don't Bash The Yankees

To keep yourself informed of everything that's happening always check with the Official Yankee Home.

Story of the thread

This thread dates back to the 2001 World Series. Before we lost to the Arizona Diamondback -we watched the Playoffs, DJ's awesome plays included - Yankee fans gathered in the old Request thread to request a Yankee board (how pretentious, huh?) Of course, we didn't have enough votes to get one so we decided to start our own thread here in the Sports Board.

->Like the Yankees said: 26 World Championships... We'll try to do better next century. The thing is though, we love them nonetheless..

::Some of our past thread titles::

-We're in heaven, Yanks are going to for 27
-Our blood runs blue
-On odd days, Derek Jeter volunteers with the Mets (from one of D. Letterman's Top 10)
-Thaaaaaaaa Yankees Win!
-Comeback soon, its not the same without you (When Jeter's shoulder got injured)
-Time to go fishing...
-Once A Yakee, Always A Yankee
-The Spirits Are On Their Way
-Murderers Row 2004
-ARod for President!
-Have faith in the Yankees, my son. - Ernest Hemingway
-Steinbrenner for President
-What Choke? Just get The Boss to spend some money on this team for once!

Let's Go Yanks!!!

Since today the Red Sox get their WS rings while opening their season at home let's have a little fun with it...

TOP TEN Secrets to the Boston Red Sox Comeback

10. Unlike the first three games, we didn't leave early to beat the traffic.

9. We put flu virus in Jeter's Gatorade.

8. Let's just say Pete Rose made some phone calls for us.

7. We asked Pokey Reese to be a little less Pokey.

6. It's not like we haven't won a big game before — it's just been 86 years.

5. Honestly, I think we were tired of hearing about the Patriots.

4. The messages of encouragement Martha sent on prison napkins.

3. We pretended the baseball was Letterman's head.

2. What'd you expect — we have a guy who looks like Jesus!

1. We got Babe Ruth's ghost a hooker and now everything's cool.

Well, finally we have a new thread!

OMG! The game is just terrible. I don't even know what to say. I am not ever going to diss the Yankees because they will forever be awesome to me, no matter what but A-Rod, dude I have you as a banner on my door! Deserve that spot at least. I don't know what to say, I think he's just so into the rivalry thing that winning a game means to like really hit it not just hit it. You know what I mean? Please don't be mad, that's just how I feel.

That was pitiful! I was so upset that my cable was out from the bottom half of the 2nd through the 4th inning... Then it comes back and I was shocked at how horrible they were looking.

Arod was our weakest link today. I love the boys no matter what but today wasn't our day. I hope tomorrow we can put a stop to the lack of intensity.

I didn't even get to see the game today and I'm extremely disappointed in the way we are playing. I had really high hopes for this team, but they don't seem to be playing like the Yankees I know. Don't get me wrong, I love them, always will win or lose, but this is getting annoying. I want to see them play like the Yankees I know and love, even if they don't win. They have so much talent and such passion, and it just doesn't seem to be showing lately.

BTW, love the new thread. I love Mo.

great title for the thread...i agree with SirenSong. they just arent playing like before. of course, a lot of the players are different and it's only the beginning of the season but still.

i'm pretty sure that they're going to do some major damage during the summer. especially after the all-star break.

I agree. I mean, this is the Yankees that we're talking about. I'm not giving up on them after a couple games. BTW, it's cool to see a fellow BSB fan around. Oh, and you can all me Chrissy.

Here's a bump for our boys for tomorrow. Let's go Yanks!

Awesome game today. There was an inning or two that we could've murdered Sux. Oh well. But anyhoo, awesome job by the Mo we trust.

JETER! Yo those two plays.

Giambi!!! Awesome awesome awesome!

so close to tieing and winning but we didnt .....this just gives us MORE reason to get revenge, but its true wat the commentators are saying that those 2 fans (puncher loser and beer loser) make all the fans look bad...

in the words of joe torre "these people shouldnt be allowed to walk the streets much less attend a ball game" thank you!

so yeah all the guy got was ejected, wow he gets to beat the traffic they need to arrest these people or like David Justice said on the YES post-game .....someone is gonna get seriously hurt b4 anybody does anything

I'm telling you..... If Arod doesn't wake up soon I'm going to die of a heart attack and he'll be the reason.

That said, RJ gave up our 4-5 lead in a hurry...

That said the Ump crew was an ubelievable piece of ****... Even Boston wanted to kill them.

That said I wish Sheff would've knocked that guy out senseless. I would've given anything to see Sheff lay down a blow and break his nose so could really bleed Sox red...

That said how can Posada swing at ****** ball 4.

That said how can that call not be interference????

That said WHO THE *****ING HELL told Sierra to swing at that garbage pitch.

Why didn't Joe argue like Francona did for the tag that wasn't???? Millar wasn't even close!

Yes, I'm royally p*ssed off. I swear that Fenway has something because something always happens... They should stop selling beer at that place.

--- I hope I can relax in the next 10 hours.
