NY Yankees #8 - Once A Yankee, Always A Yankee
To the New York Yankees aka Bronx Bombers thread.
~Golden Rule~ Don't Bash The Yankees A special salute to Roger Clemens for getting win #300 and strikeout #4,000. And though you'll never read this, we're proud of you Rocket! And we hope those Hall Of Fame people get you in with a Yankee cap or we'll join in boycotting the ceremony [ 07-01-2003: Message edited ROCKSTAR ] __________________

Heh! Aw, Jollie, it's ok that you're far away. At least you still share the Yankee love And I don't live in New York City, but I go there often. I live in New York, though. Just not the Bronx, lol. My dad lives there, though. But he usually doesn't go to the games without me
I just remembered yesterday that I got Randy Choate's autograph. He signed my program from the game during BP. The only bad thing is is that it's now worth what, 2 cents? Horrible horrible pitcher, ugh. I was supposed to get Soriano's autograph on my birthday during his rookie year, but it fell through, and I couldn't go. I was really upset, and especially now, seeing the amazing player he's turned into. My brother's got Nolan Ryan's autograph on a baseball, which I'm envious of. And my dad's met Joe Torre a few times. He got an autograph for my brother (this was before I was Yankees obsessed). My dad knew Frank Torre, Joe's brother, when he owned a sporting goods shop in Brooklyn and Joe played for the Mets. Very neat indeed! I was jealous of my dad, lol. He was supposed to be a pitcher, actually. For the Expos. But his coach didn't advise him going to try out, so my dad never did. Oh well. *shrug* lol. Geez, I'm sorry everyone. I just babble. I'll just not do that anymore. Sorry! Isn't this the cutest animation: (you gotta watch it all) __________________

They're playing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Gonzalez (2-2) vs. Weaver (3-5) Ugh. Weaver's been a disappointment so far this season. Let's hope we can salvage a win out of him. __________________

Yeah. He started strong but then it all went down hill. Maybe he just can't play in New York being in the same team with Moose, Andy, Rocket, Mo, etc.
It must be pressure like fire running down your head. It was be terrible trying to measure up. __________________

On their page the scoreboard was Yankees 10, Devil Rays 2 When I saw that I thought that in the part of the game I missed they'd won but then I remembered that the Devil Rays had 11 runs so that was impossible Now Weaver has lost more games than the ones he has won... Yay! Go David Wells! He's awesome. Sheesh lol.
and yeah, I agree. it's gotta put a lot of pressure on him since he's pitching with some greats, and now a Hall of Famer. Ugh. Jeff Weaver needs to just concentrate on pitching and not worry about who he's on the team with. Roger Clemens pitches tomorrow. Now he can just pitch casually instead of trying to get that 300. I can't wait. __________________

Joll it was a doubleheader.
Calen you were right. Rocket pitched brilliantly. Too bad both the perfect game and the no hitter were broken but, woo! He had stuff to blow anyone away! And what a game. Soriano ended it easily after all. I'm very happy we won. VERY And I didn't express my admiration for Boomer's complete game Our boys are doing it at 40 years old! Now, that's something! __________________
