The SG stuff just sounds so weird to me. Like after everything, the new writers want to have her interested in someone else? What's the point? I think they're both hopeless. They're both jealous when they see them with someone else but can't make it work together. I should just live in my season 1 bubble. They literally acted more like a couple when they were friends/roommates

I think it could be either way with S/G, since the party at Gunnar was really the thing at Rayna's and since they changed Maddie for Scarlett in the fake sides, they could have easily changed Avery for Gunnar and it being about Gunnar holding her hand while they are in limbo because of the other guy stuff and current events.
