The critically acclaimed drama series "Nashville" returns for a second season. In last season's finale, Rayna and Deacon's final moments left their lives hanging in the balance. But one thing is certain... their relationship will never be easy. Rayna will continue to be driven by her desire to expand upon her music empire, signing new talent and going head to head with a new label chief. Juliette is poised for a fresh start after her success was briefly mired by her short-lived marriage, an extortion plot, and the shocking death of her mother. As she continues to work towards shaping her sound and style, she'll discover there isn't a lot of room for error as emerging artists continue to nip at her heels. Deacon's fall from grace will force him to evolve from his role as band leader to a position outside of his comfort zone. The question is whether or not there'll be enough time to commit to his most important role of all...being a father.

With Rayna's record label backing her, Scarlett is still seeking out that magic she harnessed with Gunnar. Is Scarlett a flash in the pan? Or will she self destruct before she's had her moment in the spotlight? Gunnar is tragically aware that his window to stardom is beginning to close and that he'd better get his head back in the game. Did he ever really have what it takes to be a headliner or songwriter? Avery has had it all and lost it all. This time he's made an unlikely ally, and nothing is going to keep him down or prevent him from getting back on that path to stardom. Teddy's life has been turned upside-down since his break with Peggy, but nothing prepared him for how far she would be willing to go to get what she wanted.

"Music City" can mean so many things to different people. In Nashville, musicians and songwriters are at the heart of the storms driven by their own ambitions. Some are fueled by their creativity and passion for fame, others struggle to cope with the pressures of success and doing everything in their power to stay on top.

Ausiello: Downside: I’m told Juliette will find herself with child (mirroring Hayden Panettiere’s still-unconfirmed real-life pregnancy) when Season 3 picks up, but by whom? You’ll recall, she knocked cowboy boots with both Jeff and Avery near the end of the season. Upside: Both Ms. Barnes and her producer boyfriend will have plenty of songwriting fodder for months to come. Plus, Juliette changing diapers? You know I wanna see that.

- Juliette has her first ultrasound and is shocked when she finds out who the father could be.

What's Next: Regardless of Rayna's decision, apparently Luke isn't going anywhere. Will Chase and Oliver Hudson have both been upped to series regulars. With Hayden Panettiere expecting her first child, executive producer Dee Johnson tells TVGuide.com that the show will feature a Juliette story line around "the idea of pregnancy." Plus: There's that awkward paternity question hanging over her head. And don't count out Avery and Juliette (Javery?) just yet. "I think that Avery is probably the only person that Juliette has actually ever been in love with," Johnson says. "That's a hard thing to shake." In addition, Laura Benanti joins the cast as a country singer who becomes a friend of Rayna's. "She is somewhere in between a newbie like Scarlett and a reigning queen like Rayna," Johnson notes. Fans can also expect "surprising evolutions" with Teddy and Layla this season.

Back to the Juliette scoop, I think this new actor guy will only be in 1 or 2 (top) episodes. He will probably be mean to her and, like some of you said in the previous thread, will make her realize she should stick to singing. It would be nice to see Hayden pretending to be a bad actress in character as Juliette, lol.

When do you guys think Avery will find out about the pregnancy?

I agree seeing Hayden pretending to be bad at acting would be hilarious

I hope Avery finds out sooner rather than later. I don't suspect she can keep it from him long. She won't be able to hide the pregnancy forever and logically Avery will have to suspect it could be his and it doesn't make sense for her to lie to him about and say it's Jeff's. I'm also hoping that she tells Avery before too many people find out. I would hate for him to be in a "the last to know" position like he was in the finale with the Jeff reveal.

If Juliette's in LA for this movie thing and then on tour they could delay Avery finding out she's pregnant for a while unfortunately.

Maybe that's what this actor's deal is. He doesn't want Juliette to be cast and then finds out she's pregnant somehow. He uses it to try to keep her from being cast and/or leaks it to the press.

I think she actually starts shooting but drops out after some drama with this guy. He's probably one of those sleazy, vile actors. I'm sure he's a Luke fan too, lol.
I would assume Juliette doesn't want to be in the spotlight after she starts showing and, since this is Juliette we're talking about, the rumors will spread like fire.

Agreed! Plus, Avery already was last to know with the cheating, he deserves to know beforehand about the pregnancy. It's kind of a huge deal. (I'm fine with Juliette telling Rayna first though, lol)

Juliette telling Rayna is one of the scenes I am most looking forward to so it better be amazing. Also, I really hope that it's not leaked to the press before she tells Avery because I really don't want another "is it true?" confrontation. It's bad enough that he's going to have ask "is it mine?"

With the way the rest of the Rayna spoilers have been going I really need some good Rayna/Juliette scenes because I don't think I'll be enjoying any of her other scenes

But doesn't the press finding out Juliette's pregnant before Avery sound like the exact kind of thing this show would do?

Ugh, I know. Not to mention she will have to ask herself who's the father too. Why must my babies suffer this much?

Can you imagine what the scene where Juliette tells him she's pregnant with his child will be like? Hayden and JJ are going to ruin me.
The show needs more Rayna/Juliette scenes, joining forces and looking fab while doing so.
