The critically acclaimed drama series "Nashville" returns for a third season. In the season two finale, Rayna was left at a crossroads with marriage proposals from both Luke, her superstar boyfriend, and Deacon, her first love and the father of her oldest child. Whom will she choose? And how will she navigate the turbulent road helming her own label, Highway 65? Juliette had lost the security of her newfound love with rising artist Avery, which foundered when she cheated on him with Jeff Fordham, the record label executive who has made no secret of his contempt for her. This season she will not only grapple with that heartbreak, but also with a pregnancy.

Will's sham of a marriage is cracking under the weight of his admission to his wife Layla that he's gay, and to the cameras of the reality show shadowing their every move. Will his burgeoning career be his salvation or an albatross? Scarlett, Gunnar and Avery continue to struggle to find their muses and voices within in the music industry, and the dynamics of their careers, friendships and search for love seems to shift continually.

Rayna's daughters, Daphne and Maddie, cope with their mother's engagement as well as her ever-increasing fame, while her ex-husband, Teddy, forms a shaky new alliance with Rayna's nemesis, Jeff Fordham.

"Music City" can mean so many things to different people. In Nashville, musicians and songwriters are at the heart of the storm driven by their own ambitions. Some are fueled by their creativity and passion for fame. Others struggle to cope with the pressures of success and doing everything in their power to stay on top.

"Nashville" stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Chris Carmack as Will Lexington, Will Chase as Luke Wheeler, Eric Close as Teddy Conrad, Charles Esten as Deacon, Oliver Hudson as Jeff Fordham, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Lennon Stella as Maddie Conrad and Maisy Stella as Daphne Conrad.

Dee Johnson ("Boss," "The Good Wife"), "The War Room," "A Perfect Candidate"), Callie Khouri ("Thelma & Louise") and Steve Buchanan are executive producers of "Nashville." The series is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment.

I don't mind it all, tbh. Everyone doesn't decide on a name right away. It CAN take weeks before people agree on a name. It would kinda be realistic. I don't see what the big deal is and it doesn't at all make them bad parents.

Ok I have to chime in on this one. Yes legally you have time to decide but Who actually does this??? Most people name their baby before they leave the hospital. They are doing it solely as a marketing ploy to create some excitement for fans. And because they know of how much everybody loves Avery and Juliette. Juliette is always been a huge part of the show. Her absence cost them big and now they are basically milking her return in a huge way. That being said even though I think it's completely unrealistic and poor planning...I am not surprised and it won't ruin my enjoyment.

I actually don't know anyone who even waited until birth. I know that happens occasionally, but not any of my friends (and I went to a strict Catholic school with a lot of old school Catholics, lol, so all of my long-time friends have kids) and no one in my family. Everyone had a name picked out before the birth, and certainly no one waited until after they came home from the hospital. I don't think it's realistic to wait several weeks to name your child. Juliette and Avery know they're having a girl, and have known for some time. They would have a short list, and it would not take them several weeks to pick from it.

So based on final sides my prediction is that Tammi was right and the season is going to end with Deacon in surgery and something goes wrong and we won't know until season 4 (if there is one) if he'll survive. I don't know this for sure, but I feel like it could definitely be heading that way.

I think they will do a fake out in the final scene and it will be the other person that will end up flatlining. But just a prediction. No clue really.

His brain will be deprived of oxygen and he'll have amnesia all next season...I'm kidding. I hope.

I could see that too, but I feel like they're not going to want to scare people away from being living donors, and I think that would definitely do that.

I think that ship has already sailed, lol. With how epically they screwed over HIPAA with the Beverly situation (no one is told you're a donor match, even within family, for exactly what happened to Beverly- she didn't want to be a donor, the very idea terrified her, and she was pressured into it anyway by Scarlett and IIRC other sides having Rayna go pressure her some more). They have not made this look good.

My sister and boyfriend didn't decide on a name until about 2 weeks after their daughter was born. They suggested alot of names during those 9 months but nothing really stuck. I think my parents had some trouble agreeing about a name for me aswell. It's not cruel to not be sure of a name. The baby doesn't know. This is such a foreign opinion to me. Maybe us Swedes are alot more laid back about it.

But the following episode is more than 2 weeks after the birth, and they've written the finale, as evidenced by the sides coming out, and that's likely months later. I think they've said she HAS a name by the episode after her birth, but if the show hasn't picked it out yet, it means she'll rarely or never be referenced by it for a stretch of a couple to a few months, which is...weird, and creepy. And EXTREMELY poor planning on the part of the show. If they wanted to have the fans pick it, all they needed to do was put this poll out a couple months ago.

Also, it actually IS kind of important to repeat a baby's name over and over in their first few months, lol. So they'll be able to recognize it by around the fifth month, and respond to it by the time they're about 7 months old. Babies are sponges. They learn by repetition, and their name is kind of a basic element of that.

As long as this is the spoiler section, I believe that they probably won't say the baby's name more than once or so because the storyline is that Juliette is suffering badly from postpartum depression and is having a really hard time attaching to the child. As in, she doesn't want to spend any time with it. Hence, she won't be saying the baby's name very often.

It does NO harm to the baby at 1 or 2 weeks old to not know their name, omg. Maybe after MONTHs, probably, but a baby not having a name after a week or or a little more is not really a big thing. And again, it does not make people bad parents for waiting a short time for a name.

But I agree whith you that it's weird not say her name if they have said that they're gonna have a name for it. But that's only a weird error with the show.
