I don't like The Walking Dead. I got sick of the people trying to kill each other instead of bonding together to keep safe. I know it is taken from a graphic novel as my son is into it in a big way but it is a bit too depressing for me.

I love the Walking Dead, but I get what you are saying about the people killing each other. I find that part kind of off putting, but I am a fan of Survival type shows. I also like The 100.

I haven't read the article yet, so not sure what the Fringe aspect is yet.

There have been loads of that type of series made over here in the past and I suppose I am just a bit sick of them. Not Zombies or anything but nuclear or chemical accident type catastrophic events which wipe out most of the population but leave a load of scumbags and control freaks to fight it out among themselves.

They start off good and then go into the dog eat dog mode which just puts me off. I like to think that people would help each other not try to outdo each other all the time.

I know what you mean. It all goes back to Lord of the Flies for me. One of the Worst books I ever read in High School.

It even happens in Fringe with the Loyalists. It is the inhumanity of man - kill or be killed which sucks.

I never had to read that one thank goodness. One of the things I liked about Fringe was no matter what happened there was always hope, and usually good triumphed.

Yeah, I do enjoy a "good triumphs over evil" story line.

And of course there was a lot of humour in Fringe which made it a cut above all the rest. I just can't find anything to replace it as a favourite TV show. I do like The Americans as I love spy stories but it is not on at the moment, and I am quite disappointed in Homeland season 4 as I have no sympathy with any of the characters this season, but that might change as it goes on.

My love of fringe was more about the family aspect, the relationship of love of father and son and that group of people is immense

For me it was a combination of that, the humour and the clever writing, oh and then there was my increasing crush I was getting of Peter.

My crush for Peter was from the moment I saw him (crushing on Josh for 20+ years)

I envy you there. I wish I had been a fan when DC was on or had even watched DC when it aired so that I could become a fan. I just have to be satisfied with being a fan now.
