Ele, the courtroom scenes were very accurate. Some things were made up but many of the lines were directly from transcripts. It was very much like that. Even the kid actors were sitting exactly where we did in real life.
Thanks Bob for answering my question, that's even more impressive.

I just watched it. And all I can say is wow. This movie was amazing! Why wasn't it picked up?

Sometimes I felt like they skipped a lot. They were like, 3 years later and I was like what happened in those 3 years? I understand they can't put it all in one movie, but it was kind of sad.
I just don't know what to say about the movie, except that I loved it. And I must say, I think I enjoyed it more than BoA.. I think..

Although, I must comment on the scene on the beginning, where Phyllis is in her nightgown and Bob is looking in the mirror. And they start kissing you know and he's like I'm right back. That was hilarious :lmao:
Okay I understand that was the beginning of their problems, but it was definitely funny.

loool, I know. I watched it yesterday and he lost me right there.haha.

well, I have some issues with the movie. Maybe it was because I watched it from 12am. to 2am and wasn´t in a fresh shape but I think it was just a good movie, not great. I think it would be better on tv, definitely. Good thing is that I didn´t fell asleep, which in my case says lot but at the same time it didn´t make me feel for the characters either, mainly because they jump from year to year very quickly and it was distracting. I know they only had limited space to squish all those years in to it and all but i think they could find some other way to do so. I mean, I really really wanted to see reactions of the family when the deal with Ford ended and I was really pissed that all I saw was "3 years later". I was expecting the whole time that I´ll be rooting for Bob but when I watched it I suddenly realized I have a hard time seeing his point of view. I just really felt sorry for rest of the family. But of course I was glad he won at the end. I didn´t cry though, which also says a lot.

I thought the first hour of the movie went pretty fast. I looked at the time and was surprised, I thought it would be only like 20 minutes. The most slow part was after Phillys left Bob till the time court started. I like the court scenes a lot, the analogy with the book was great. Also when he was witness and "laywer" at the same time. giggles.

I thought it was a good movie, not great but good. I just wished they would inconporate the family more. Maybe I´ll feel differently after second viewing. These are just my immediate thoughts.

oh, and Lauren looked lovely, especially in the beginning but she didn´t have as much screen time as I would like. oh, and I think Lauren aged, you can see it around her eyes in her last scene in the court.

perrygraham 02-06-2009 03:00 PM

Katka I agree with your post except for the aging thing lol.

The nightgown scene looked really hot. :D

LG rocks my socks 02-06-2009 03:08 PM

The see-through nightgown :D

I can kind of see the aging. Her skin just doesn't look flawed enough for there to be a really noticable difference. They should have shortened her hair instead of made it longer.

Danke 02-06-2009 03:29 PM

I can´t help, I see the aging on the second pic.

and I like the nightgown pic:D stupid stupid man.

colorblind 02-06-2009 03:32 PM

Oh my :thud: I have to watch this movie like right now :D

danielle_xo 02-06-2009 03:37 PM

I just finished watching it again, and I noticed the aging more this time than I did when I saw it in the theater. Maybe because now I was expecting it or something.

I personally think this is one of my favorite movies that she's done. I would have liked more Lauren screen time too, but Greg was fabulous so that made up for it a little. I don't know what it is, I just really like the story of it all and I think everyone played it perfectly.

ETA: kind of OT but I just checked my lj and the ads were for the FoG dvd, it got me pretty excited!

Danke 02-06-2009 03:37 PM

I thought Lauren looked a little bit uncomfortable just standing there in a see-through gown.lol

perrygraham 02-06-2009 03:45 PM

Greg didn't seem to mind...before he left lol.

I thought the scene when the whole family prayed for rain was cute.
