I got up earlier because our farrier was supposed to come, but he cancelled - again. He's supposed to come tomorrow but we're supposed to get rain so who knows.

I'm watching a news report about a new service in DC that uses little robots to make food deliveries to people. Part of me thinks that's cool, but part of me wonders about all the young folks who work their way through college bringing dinner to folks like me.

Those types of jobs will be replaced, people will not have as many job opportunities, unemployment will increase, and people with jobs will claim those without are just lazy and want more of their money when they probably spent more money on designing these robots then they would have to pay the kids to do it in the first place.

At the time I was watching that, I actually just ordered from a Chinese restaurant. The guy who delivered it was probably an immigrant, since his English was spotty. He was very nice and thanked me for my order and left running down the hall - obviously trying to get back to his car and make his next delivery as fast as possible. I doubt he was a college student - he was older. I imagine he either sends money home or has a family here and he probably works multiple jobs - especially in this area - to make ends meet. So I'm happy that at least for now, those robots are limited to downtown DC where they don't have to travel far. Where I am, I don't think the robots would work too well because of the distance and the complicated routes they would have to go. I'd feel bad if I opened the door one day to find my dinner in a robot instead of the hands of a hard-working human who needs the job.

So tonight's issue (I just have so many at this point) is a migraine. I took some meds during the day and managed to fall asleep (and my sweet kitty curled up next to me) and then took some meds specifically for migraines a half hour or so ago.

And of course the plot bunny that's been hopping around in my head for a few days is getting REALLY excited today and I really want to write it but I have to type while staring at my lap because the LCD is painful.

Thank you. My sister and her boyfriend are visiting on Sunday and I hope I'm well enough to spend time with them.

I'm finally on spring break and I'm so happy that I get to sleep. This past week was horrible.

All my friends were posting pictures like "throwback to college spring breaks!" on their snapchats with them on the beaches or something, so I posted "throwback to college spring breaks!" a few days ago with a picture of me asleep. Because that's what I did on spring breaks.

All I've done today is sleep and watch tv. I can't remember the last time I had a day like this.
