TFTNT!

I get to wake up at 2am to help with a system install

I really should be napping.

WeBuiltThePyramids 09-28-2016 05:52 PM

Hopefully that wasn't too bad, Heidi!

My day off was today, and I was just so exhausted I got nothing done.

FoxPhile 09-29-2016 02:51 PM

Having my sleep interrupted like that really throws me off for a day. I can't nap during the daytime - so I can't catch up on the missed sleep until the next full night. So yesterday I wasn't fit to be around.

But I'm all better now.

That's the one good thing about all my mental illnesses - and sometimes it's a bad thing, but I used to never be able to nap. Now I can. So when I NEED to nap, that's when that new ability plus my CFS comes in handy.

For the past couple of days it's been rainy and the temperatures have really dropped. We've had highs in the mid 70s and lows overnight in the 50s and low 60s. I still have my air-conditioning going full blast and I have to really pile on the blankets to avoid freezing at night.

The thing is, a lot of folks would tell me to turn the A/C off. But I *love* sleeping with piles of blankets and this is about the only time of year when I can do that. It doesn't get cold enough in the winter unless it's really bitter outside - which it rarely is around here.

WeBuiltThePyramids 09-30-2016 04:27 PM

It's still fairly warm here - at least to me. The 90+ degree heat has broken but upper 60s for end or September is waaaarm to a Michigan native. Trouble is, my body is still accustomed to living in the north and it is telling me that it is time to sleep under six different blankets. But it's definitely not cold enough for me to do that yeah haha.

It may be a real shock to your system to go through a winter with very little snowfall - assuming that happens. Southern states can sometimes fool you and get a real dumping now and then.

I asked my boss' wife how much snow we get down here and her eyes got big and she said "sometimes we get four inches!"

I was like............

So I went to see a local dermatologist yesterday, and I was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease. :bawl::cry:

Sadly, I'm stuck with mine for the rest of my life. :/

It sucks
Will it be manageable?

FoxPhile 10-06-2016 03:19 AM

Kim, That does suck.

With medication, the symptoms will be less, but the medicine won't mask the symptoms completely. :/ It's just something I have to live with, unfortunately.
