I am so not ready to let go. I will hate it if the last season will have been about Chris and that the only person Lorelai will have married is him!! Gag.

But the blue hat is back.. now that makes me happy.

Yay the blue hat returns. And obviously it has again a connection with Lorelia. At least the writers remembered that!

And I'm still in denial concerning s8. I don't want to believe MA.

I want the back story to this even if it was just a gift from April, but if that is the case then what will Lorelai think of Luke choosing "her cap" over April's?

I'm thinking he either had it or was in a store and just bought it, like the Reggae Fever CD.

Exactly, and "who Christopher is" is an entirely subjective concept. So to people like me, the fact that she chose to be with Christopher shows that she was stupid and lonely, not that she lost her moral core. To others, it's different. And I don't think people who view Christopher the way you do are going to get a satisfying ending either way because I personally think DR's views of Christopher aren't quite as harsh. I don't think he sees the need to redeem Lorelai in a grand way, the way some want him to...just my opinion, and I'm not saying DR's views are right. I think as Sara said, we'll have to respectfully agree to disagree on this matter

About MA -- I'm just...sad. My shipper heart is so heavy with doubt. There is so much story left to tell. I don't really feel cheated, but I do feel that DR made some poor decisions with the timing of this season. I have always been one who understood if not appreciated the CL SL, but I still can't for the life of me grasp how DR could have taken this path when he had no guarantee of an extra season. It is SUCH a two season SL. I promise I'll be my optimistic self again soon, but all the negative 8th season signs are really getting to me. I want that wedding more than anything...

On a brighter note...Beyonce was INCREDIBLE at the rodeo tonight. Seriously, in my next life, I want to be her.

Not on-screen. We only knew the new hat is a Connecticut Defenders hat from an article about the team in a local Norwich, CT, newspaper.
