So do Luke and Lorelai get trapped somewhere in 7.18 where they start talking and open up to each other again ?! I mean something must trigger off that talk they have at the end of the episode.

Is that only my opinion, that Luke was written in the first part of season 7 out of character: his reaction to what Lorelai did was too calm? I missed ranting/angry/deeply affected Luke. But maybe I'm wrong: his calm was a sign that he's still in love with Lorelai?

I think there's no doubt he loves her. I also think he knows he started this mess with his secrets. He probably thinks he deserves what happened. (Sounds like a Luke thought anyway.) Lorelai took him at his word and moved on. He has to kick himself nightly for letting her walk away that night.

I'm hoping for a cute scene with L&L in the hay bale maze, maybe Lorelai looking for Rory (or PA) and Luke looking for April?
