 Also w Riley his character Markus was kinda suppose to be a mess. We learned that pretty quick and so did the others like Avery and Rayna also found out quickly how easy Markus jumps from one idea to the next, and very wishy washy one day he's nice Markus next day he's throwing Avery out and blaming Avery, so happy about his performance and music , kissing Rayna, then he's back w Boulevard, so not so sure Riley was specifically talking about the writers but maybe he was idk. As for this Maddie Daphine stuff I'm now officially confused, so now Maddie is saying she wishes they would have married long ago, huh? Also personally the idea of her being scared because a stranger paparazzi is sticking cameras In her face being rude probably and Deacon steps up to protect her like um her father is ridiculous!! I don't know what Riley meant but I know I don't get where or what they're doing w this. I do not like this storyline yet again Deacon can't be happy now his kids don't wanna be around him, super!! |

I think at some level, deep down, the writers have to know they've dropped the ball with this show. Epically. Like, worse than Lost. Worse than Heroes. Worse than Battlestar Galactica. (That last one hurts me still, not going to lie.)
They're just cashing in on the final fan service moments now while trying to prove that their "special" brand of writing can stay on the air for one more full season. __________________

I think they've definitely dropped it epically, but I wouldn't put it up there with Heroes. I mean at least there's a plot, even if it is ridiculous.

Battlestar Galactica... like I said... hurts me to this day. It was a wonderful show. Great writing. Lost and Heroes really never had any sense of where it was all going.
Nashville had a basic concept. It's been true to said concept to this day. It's "the country music industry and the soap of the singers' lives." It doesn't have an end and it doesn't have a beginning. What it does have is writing, believable or non-belilevable. I believed in all of the writing up until episode 14 of season 1. After that, they lost me. __________________

That was a long time ago! What happened that episode?
I always thought Heroes should have just been a one season show. That one season was perfect unto itself and I don't think they had a plan beyond the Season 1 finale. We saved the cheerleader, we saved the world, now what? |

It was when Scarlett got a record offer as a solo artist instead of as a duet (like, uhm, yeah, believable) and when she decided to accept and hide it from Gunnar. It was also when Gunnar started behaving like an ******* for plot-contrivance-reasons.
