Because I wanted to go. So badly. I mean, in France I could have started over. I wouldn't be Joey, the waitress. Or Joey, the daughter of a convict. Or Joey, the white trash girl on the creek. Or Joey, half of the "will they or won't they" couple of the century. I didn't go to France because it seemed like the easy way out. The easiest escape from my life, which in spite of a few highlights is pretty pathetic. And I didn't want to take the easy way out, because I figured that sticking around here would make me stronger. That I would learn more here, and in the midst of life's little tragedies I would grow. And there was you, too. Dawson Leery, who finally got a clue. And it seemed like no matter what else happened, I would be secure in that. But I have to tell you, Dawson, as complicated as our friendship was, it doesn't even compare to how complicated whatever you and I have here is bound to be. And never in my life has taking the easy way out seemed like exactly what I need to do. Dawson: Look, Joe. Maybe you and I will never be easy. But that doesn't mean we won't be scorching. Joey: And what happens if we're not? Do we lose everything? The relationship and the friendship? What are we left with then? Dawson: I don't know. And, you know what, I don't care, Joe. For the first time in my life, I don't care if I completely understand it. I don't need to deconstruct it until it crumbles into nothing. I just know that it's a step I'd like to take. With my best friend. You belong here, Joey. Not in France, in Capeside. With me. Andie: Oh my God, officer I'm so sorry. I didn't even see you pull out. I mean I did see you pull out, but it was so fast, that. (Pacey grunts) Oh God, I just got my license. Please, be kind. Pacey: I'm gonna have to see that license and registration little miss. Andie McPhee. Rhode Island drivers license. Andie: Yes sir, you see my family just moved to town. We live over in Windsor. Pacey: (Laughs) Country club. Andie: Yes, is that a problem? Pacey: Do you realize the severity of what you've done here. Hmm, do you. Sitting behind the wheel of a very powerful automobile is a huge responsibility. One little mistake, and you could run over a cat, a child, a nun. Why We Love Season Two Discover the reasoning behind the magic. 1) Because it started off where the previous season ended with Dawson and Joey's passionate first kiss 2) Because Pacey fell hopelessly in love with Andie 3) Because Jen and Abby were so chummy 4) Because they are this far away from the Peach Pit 5) Because they were signing a peace treaty 6) Because it's the action that must change 7) Because you gotta love a sophomore with a heart stripe 8) Because there's a reason that we go from infancy to old age 9) Because Dawson IS Jimmy Stewart 10) Because heroes are made, not born 11) Because remember, no hat, no glove 12) Because what Dawson doesn't know about Joey can fill a book 13) Because Joey's mom lives on in her 14) Because it isn't maligning if it's true 15) Because Dawson has no problem being a virgin 16) Because knowledge is power 17) Because the second kiss is rational 18) Because it's about romance, not sex 19) Because sometimes you were born to lose 20) Because of the classic Pinter moments 21) Because it feels like home 22) Because that which is lost can be found again 23) Because Joey and Jack share that whole artistic vibe 24) Because in Dawson's lifetime, he will never be ashamed of Pacey 25) Because Joey respects Jen 26) Because Joey is Gale's surrogate daughter 27) Because worry is wasteful and useless in times like these 28) Because Abby has the same dress-in a smaller size 29) Because Dawson is so cheesy 30) Because anyone can change their fate 31) Because things never end happy in real life 32) Because in her own truth telling way, Abby gave Andie strength 33) Because Abby was one of a kind 34) Because nothing is ever going to change so much that Pacey is not going to be Dawson's best friend 35) Because the Leerys have a big house 36) Because it is harder to he incapable of loving than to not be loved 37) Because Abby will always hold a special spot in Andie's heart 38) Because Andie didn't want to lose Pacey... 39) ...and Pacey assured her with "You're not going to lose me, Andie. Not now and not ever" 40) Because Joey owed it to herself not to let her talent go to waste 41) Because Jack finds Winter Mist really intense 42) Because Andie won Pacey's vote a few bumper stickers ago 43) Because with talent comes responsiblity 44) Because "discombobulate" has 5 syllables 45) Because everyone wants to fit in and be normal and no one ever really does 46) Because everything's under control 47) Because everything changes, everybody changes 48) Because Pacey and Andie are so deep 49) Because Jen dated a bible thumping hypocrite 50) Because Club Retro is so five minutes ago 51) Because mad beats nervous 52) Because it's all worth it 53) Because Dawson wanted to regret kissing Joey, but he couldn't; it was the smartest decision he ever made 54) Because Dumbo's one of the saddest movies ever 55) Because you win a few, you lose a few 56) Because there are those times when everything-love, romance, relationships-it all comes together perfectly and it's incredible 57) Because it's those moments, no matter how dpressingly few and far between, that make growing up worth it 58) Because Andie is the girl that Pacey loves to hate... 59) ...and she loves to hate him too 60) Because everybody makes mistakes, some are just better at it than others If you have any banners or arts to add to the thread or want to be added to the fanlisting let me know! btw i was really stuck for a title idea so let me know your suggestions __________________

Awe, I adored this season. It was fantastic. I love how the storylines had built up by the end of the season and by by 'Reunited' everyone was friends. Contrary to popular belief I loved the show more when everyone was happy and the best of friends rather then when they hated each other.
Let me just post this scene from 'Uncharted Waters' because it it brillant: *Cut to the four girls sitting on Dawson's bed watching "Good Will Humping". They're making disgusted/laughing/surprised faces.* Abby: You are aware that where this tape begins, Dawson finished. Andie: Finished what? Jen: Shaking hands with the other boy. Joey: Waxing the bald-headed bishop. Abby: Test-firing the missile. Andie: Okay, I got your point guys. *they watch the TV. Joey turns her head.* Joey: How does she do that? Andie: I'm not that limber. Jen: Where do these women come from? *They all scream.* Jen: What sort of career is this?! Abby: Hey! Getting paid for something, you're good at... something they love. Hey Jen, in a couple of years, that could be you! *Joey and Abby laugh* Jen: You know what, that's really not funny. Joey: I didn't say anything. *Gail enters the door.* Gail: Hey ladies! *Andie jumps off and shuts of the television.* Gail: Whatcha watchin'? Andie: Um, nothing. Um, we're watching an educational video for school, it's, um, we're studying human anatomy! Abby: No, it's a porno we borrowed from Dawson's video collection! *Andie's eyes get huge.* Abby: Mrs. Leery, you have to face the music. Your son is a pervert! What! I'm not going to lie. Unlike some people, I do have morals. Gail: I think we should leave poor Dawson's room, don't you? I just love the fact that they bonded over a porno, it's very hilarious in so many ways. __________________

^ That scene cracks me up Brit!
One of my fave season 2 moments has to be Officer Pacey! It was such a cute meeting for Pacey and Andie. |

^ I remeber the first time I saw that, I was all like, "He totally just checked out her ass." I was 13 at the time so I was in shock. Awe, the innocence.

I'm now watching season 2 eps.
I thought it was funny how Andie thought Pacey was a Cop, and gets the message when he's at high school, talking about Andie __________________

It's definitely my favorite season, with the arrival of Andie and Jack. I just love Pacey/Andie meeting, she looks so impressed by him, well by whom she thinks he is,and there is no doubt he checked her out.

Season Two is my favourite for the reason that is Dawson/Joey
I loved the relationship starting off and progressing. I also liked the way the split was done and how Dawson easily won her back. I didn't always agree with Joey's reasoning behind the split and why she pulled away but it made sense at times. Some gorgeous, gorgeous D/Jo scenes in this season It was great to see new characters introduced. Andie and Jack were a breath of fresh air and Pacey/Andie was just so good to watch. I love how Pacey is always there for her in her time of need...what a pity he couldn't do this with Joey but hey ho. __________________

My appreciation for this season comes for the way the character of Pacey progressed. While he was my favorite character from the pilot on (Joey being a close second), in season two, he got better, more central storylines, as opposed to being a "sidekick" with side stories. His charm became even more apparent, and though I always liked his relationship with Tamara and knew he was a great boyfriend, he really started showing his tender side here with Andie.
Though I don't really like the character of Andie, I do appreciate hers and Pacey's relationship here. It saved this season for me, in a way, as their relationship really constrasted with the D/Jo off-and-on stuff, which was very quickly turning me off the show. Had Pacey not been so wonderful, I would never have watched past this. OT: Quote:

Pacey wasn't there for her in Season 4, he laughed at her when Joey said she was fourth and obviously had a real struggle with that. Yes Pacey had his own failures etc but he could have learnt to put Joey first. There were numerous other occasions as well. I don't wanna make this into a PJ V DJ war though so I will say no more This is to discuss Season 2. __________________

No fighting now peoples! We all have our opinions on couples, that's what the shipper threads are for.
Let's just stick to season 2 discussions. One of the things I like about this seson is it was a growing season for everybody. I agree with barb that Pacey did come into his character more. Became more than a sidekick. Joey started to realize she needed to find out who she was herself without obsessing over Dawson. Jack realized who he was if you know what I mean. |

Oops sorry guys, got carried away...
Pacey was great in this season. He moved from being 'the sidekick' to a more central character. Andie was so good for him, made him believe in himself. Love Pandie __________________

I loved the Dawson/Pacey scenes in this season. I was one of the people who was hurt by the way their friendship went towards the end of the series. I always loved how Dawson was there for Pacey and vise versa. It made me realize that friendships are just as important as romantic relationships.
One scene that comes to mind is this one, and it's pretty damn ironic that their watching a Tom Cruise movie. *Dawson's room - Pacey is watching "Jerry Maguire" (he's suspended, you know)* Jerry: *on TV* I'm starting a new company. The fish will come with me. You can call me sentimental... *Dawson walks in* Dawson: Dawson Leery, personal homework carrier, has arrived. Apparently, just in time for a private screening in his home theater. Pacey: Dawson, when my suspension is over tomorrow, I'll go back home, but until then, I'm willing to risk you getting sick of me for invading your personal domain because hiding out here and alienating you...beats the hell out of torture and death in the hands of my father at home. Dawson: Well, I'm happy to help. I'm just saying that I will be happy when my room returns to it's original owner...and odor. So...Jerry Maguire again, huh? Pacey: Yeah, I'm running it on a continuous loop. It speaks to my current situation as a renegade moral crusader. So...what's new in the land of higher education? Dawson: Well, pretty much the same old plus the ol' sexual identity crisis. Pacey: How is Jack? Dawson: Well, he seems okay. He's kind of keeping a low profile. Pacey: And, uh...Joey? Dawson: She's fine. Pacey: Uh...Andie? Dawson: Um..last I heard she had run off to Bali with a Brazilian soap star named Diego. I hear she's very happy, though, and tan. Would you just call her, you idiot? I can't believe you've let a week go by without even talking to her. Pacey: Dawson, it's not that easy, okay? Andie thinks I'm responsible for dragging another McPhee scandal through the school quarters and I think she was being short-sided and selfish and insensitive so right now, we're at an impass. Dawson: No, last week you were at an impass. Right now, you're just in avoidance. *Pacey sighs and Dawson sits down.* Dawson: Right now, she's hurting and you care about her, Pacey. Just...apoligize. Swallow your pride and get your girlfriend back. Pacey: I don't want to apoligize to her, Dawson! I stood up for something that I believed in and I was right! I mean, look at my man Jerry, here. His mission statement. He took a stand. Dawson: And he lost everything. He had to beg, grovel, and crawl to get it all back. And he was not sleeping on his best friend's floor. Pacey: I thought you said I could have the bed tonight. Dawson: I don't think so. Pacey: Joey gets the bed. Dawson: *laughs* Don't go there. And lets face it, one of the greatest scenes ever in the history of television is when Dawson and Andie sing the blues. __________________
