It's hard not to read them though because you want to know what happens to the characters and the hiatus is so long.

And that too. I'd be so tempted and sometimes when the goodies are right in-front of me, I'm so tempted.

It's hard to say no when it's right in front of you. Avoid the comic shops if you can It might be too tempting if you walk into one

IKR? I'm basically the same with the Marvel-Netflix shows that I watch. I read up on Daredevil so much after seeing S1.

Not for Daredevil S2 but I think I'm spoiled for Daredevil S3 now.

The only comics I regularly read was Archie Comics. I was excited for Riverdale until I saw the trailer for it.

Oh I didn't realize it was so different from the comics. Have you tried watching it? Or did you decide not to watch at all after the trailer?

I watched a few eps but didn't last until the mid-season finale.

Yeah I understand. If it's really different from the comics then it is probably hard to get into. I started watching it as well and I think I watched the whole first season. There were 13 eps. But I have not watched season 2 yet.

I don't know, it's just too different for me. I wanted to give it a go to see for myself and it's just not the show for me.

This was the comic counterpart of the kids:

I think they did a really great job in casting!! Gert seems so sullen in that drawing I do think she can be sullen but I don't think she is quite that bad

Thanks for finding that pic Lindsay I love seeing their comic counterparts

It's so hard to be a casting director because you get to see all of these kids audition and choose which one would be the best. It can be quite stressful.

I bet it is super stressful!!! You really want to get the casting right in a show like this that already has a fan base. They are expecting the actors to fit the parts more so than shows that do not have established characters through other forms of media.

I feel like they did a great job with this show in the casting.

This. Some fans are also very familiar with the characters so there would be certain expectations. Add to that, shows should have diversity too.

Yes I bet it is hard to meet the fan expectations and ensure there is proper diversity among the cast. I think they did a really good job of that with this show.
