Cabe pointed out to Walter that any relationships he has with Paige needs to take Ralph's feelings and growing up into consideration too - which I think Walter already knew. But right now it seems Paige is forgetting that too.

Yes. I think Walter would back off immediately from a relationship if he thought for a minute that Ralph was opposed or that it would hurt Ralph in any way. But I think he also believes that even if things went wrong between himself and Paige, she and he would both bend over backwards to ensure that Ralph had continued stability - including having Walter in his life to mentor him. He's known from the beginning that Paige is willing to sacrifice for Ralph, and Walter is willing to do that, too.

God I just keep thinking of all the time we know they've spent together and once Waige is a couple that'll happen even more often.

I know! How many times have they had dinner together - and we haven't seen it once? I believe they've had weekend outings or just that Walter comes over some times to play games or work on projects with Ralph - but we've had none of that. I want to see more of their personal lives.

Actually - one thing I'd love to see is Paige and Ralph go grocery shopping and Walter tags along because Paige wants to be sure she has things on hand that he likes for when he comes over.

I really want to see Walter giving both Paige and Ralph Christmas gifts this year. I mean, I'm sure he did the last two years, but I want to know WHAT he gives them. I want him to show his appreciation for them being in his life.

I honestly hope the title of the episode 3x07 "We're gonna need a bigger vote" was some sort of parallel used to show that Walter needed to hear where Ralph stood as far as his relationship with his mother, and now that Walter knows that Ralph prefers him over Tim, I hope Wally will take the initiative in the upcoming episodes to do SOMETHING about his relationship with Paige. And I don't know why but I'd rather him go right up to her in front of Tim and tell her how he feels regardless of the consequences. At least he would be finally taking a chance.

I literally just made a comment to that effect in the Walter/Ralph thread!

I made this gifset tonight...at the surface it's more of a Walter/Ralph thing but I really see it as the Waige + Ralph family.

I wonder how well Paige will read behind what Ralph said to her. I can't imagine that she doesn't realize how Ralph really feels. While I wouldn't want her to change anything if she was truly in love with Tim, or truly thought there was some future for them, it seems more and more obvious that's not the case - especially given how vehemently she scoffed at any suggestion that she and Tim might be headed for marriage. So in this case, too, Ralph may have the "bigger vote".

Yeah, she has to know that he isn't fully on board - but then again, she isn't either. So maybe that helps - if she does end up feeling it more, Ralph supports her, but he's also not going to be devastated if the relationship ends.
