Hi all!

Man, it feels like forever since I've posted. Where has the time gone?

I've been a bit busy lately. Going to the gym is taking it out of me I tell you what. But I've had some adventures. My best friend and I went camping a few weekends ago. So much fun. I hadn't been camping in years. Except the first night we had the brilliant idea to cram a queen size air mattress (and ourselves) into a two man tent. That didn't work out so well. We laughed for the first 10 minutes over our "tiny tent" then proceeded to not sleep that night. I'm only 5'4" and I couldn't even fully extend my legs. My poor friend who is 5'10" was miserable. So the next day we drove back into town and bought a bigger tent.

Then yesterday I did something foolish at the gym. I got myself stuck in this contraption for ab workouts. Except I was upside down in it and couldn't move my legs. Hair dude had to release my feet so I could slither out of it. Even then once I stood up I about fell over. Wasn't ready for that one.

Yeah, the summer just flew by, didn't it?

I would not do well in camping, I think.

Gym mishaps

... been there to some extent. Some of them are tricky to operate for sure. Which reminds me, I'm going back to the gym for the first time in three weeks.

This will go well.

Gym session wasn't as bad as I thought.

Managed to get a good workout in, at least.

You know, there's a part of me thinking that was REALLY embarrassing. So I'm kind of surprised I wasn't. Probably cause our trainer and hair dude were just making sure I was ok. Which I was - mostly. When I stood up I thought I was going to fall over. So I reached out for hair dude to stabilize me. I ended up holding on to him as we walked the length of the gym for me to walk it off. He seemed genuinely concerned I may have hurt myself. When I told a friend about it she mentioned it was a bit scary. And I suppose it could have been. Honestly, as I was thinking about it I am surprised I even tried getting on that thing. But then I think it was cause I knew hair dude was there and would help me if I needed it. Which he did.

So yesterday was my company's summer party. Yeah, really late for a "summer" party. It was at a local amusement park and we were allowed a plus one or family. So I brought my best friend. Hair dude brought our trainer from the gym. We ran into them so my best friend got to meet them. And I about laughed my head off after we parted ways as she began gushing over how attractive our trainer is - no doubt he is a fine specimen of a human being. She told me that man may even be able to get her to do cross fit. Now THAT'S saying something.
