Good news...we had enough gas in our lawn mower cans to fill my husband's car to a quarter tank. That should be enough to get to the gas station and fill up...if people will chill out and there will actually be gas somewhere without a 2 hour wait.

Good to hear, Steph. :hug: 2 hour wait for gas sounds pretty nuts. I just saw on the news that there were some looters again, it's so disheartening that people will do that when others are in distress. :(

I'm really happy to have one and a half more days before I go back to work. :love: :yay: Been spending time catching up with family/friends and it's been great.

Yeah, it's nuts Sarah. People are crazy and camping out at gas stations. Ridiculous because we don't have a gas shortage but crazy people are buying gas at 2.5 times the normal daily rate which is creating a gas shortage. Ugh!

Too many people unaffected by the storm and forgetting what's it's like to be fortunate..or something. Bascually, a rumor started this past Thursday that we were going to have a gas shortage. It was stupid for two reasons: 1) Some refineries weren't affected at all by the hurricane and others were only going to be affected for a few days, and 2) we have so much gas in reserve, that we were never going to have a gas shortage even if the refineries were out for longer.

Anywayyyy, within hours, all the gas stations were out of gas because people were filling up their cars and hundreds of gallons of containers (which is illegal, by the way). I thought it would have calmed down by now, but it hasn't. It even makes traffic worse everywhere. Takes soooo long to get anywhere.

People just panic. Is it me or :ff: is so slow for the last 2 days?

It's slow, Aga! Although it seems a teeny bit better for me.

Ugh :ff: seriously - suppose to have a live watch party in 3 hours and now uncertain
