Thanks for the new Thread. I like the new pics. I might update my party pics as we've had a themed party since that one.
Is that a pic of your son and hubby? I don't recall seeing one of David before, he's cute. __________________

Yes that's them - on our trip to NYC - but not the one with the guitar!

I had to share this because I am from Nova Scotia, so this made me laugh.

Great joke. Had the house to myself tonight as the boys have gone up north to see a football match. Me and Bud left home alone in the cuddling seats. I think he couldn't understand where his dad was and kept running to the door when he heard a noise, but spent most of the time cuddling up to me on the sofa. Left him downstairs in his bed so I could use the computer without Buddy's help.

I went to see Beauty and the Beast this evening with my daughter. It was great. I loved the sets and wardrobe and of course you can't beat a Disney film.

Bud is very cross with me today as we were out most of yesterday at Aintree race course for the Grand National.

Poor me! I lost all of the races I bet on - on the up side hubby did well this year so we went out for a meal after. David was too tired to join us so went straight home. He'd been out til about 4 the previous night so did well to last the day. He had a couple of wins too.
I'm going to bed now as I'm really tired - was up quite early this morning. |

The Grand National meet is the biggest Race card for ordinary people. Everyone comes from all over the country in their finery for the occasion, and us ordinary folk get to sample the life of the posh folks! I never bet what I can't afford to lose.

It is except when the horses fall. In the last race a horse fell near to where we were. They brought the screens out and it seemed that the horse was hurt badly but after a few moments it got to it's feet and was being led round and looked fine. They had taken the saddle off so perhaps it had got caught up in the stirrups or something - unless the saddle was totalled! A few fell in the Grand National but all seemed to be on their feet at the end. Quite a few were pulled up and as it was a very hot day I think they were affected by the heat so the jockey's just brought them slowly home.
