Nicholas didn't win, Robert/Marshall did and I would be willing to bet that some people didn't vote for NAC after they found out about his Netflix show. Robert/Marshall isn't given much to do now in his current storyline so I don't think that he would be nominated for an Emmy next year.

I did not know about his Netflix show & still do not. In general Netflix shows tend to get cancelled early on & hopefully him getting 1 is not why people did not vote for him.

It's a miniseries about the Mendez Brothers and it will get the time it needs because of Ryan Murphy's involvement. Some people may not have voted for NAC if they felt that he was looking to leave GH soon. Marshall is a one-note character for the most part so I was surprised that he won when I think NAC and Jon are both playing characters with more depth and a better storyline.
