I think children would be devestated if Harry died. Even though he is not an actual person, children have become attached to him. If Rowling does in fact kill him she better give it an ending that makes you think he's not really dead. You know like at the end of those movies where all of sudden you see a hand come out of the grave. LOL I know that problem sounds cheesy to do but it would give millions of readers a chance to come up with their own theories.

I hope he doesn't die. That just wouldn't be a fitting end to the series, but remember if he DOES die, he ends up with everyone who loves him: his parents, Sirius, Dumbledore, etc............

I think if Harry would die, it would be at the same time as Voldemort, so that although he dies, Harry still won.

Aww!

It is pretty depressing. But hopefully you'll feel better the more you get to think about it. The books are darker and harder to handle now, but at least you'll have a year before the next one comes out.

m not a real fan of harry (the character) I would be devastated if he died, I mean I feel like all the characters in the book are my friends and I would feel liek Ive lost a friend if any of them died. I wasnt a huge fan of Dumbledore but when he died I cried my eyes out, seeing as I have grown up with these characters, they seem real to me.

Same here, but I have a feeling Harry won't die. If he did, Rowling would get bombarded with hate mail saying that Harry shouldn't have died.

If her only reason for killing him off is so another author can't continue the series, then she's better off giving him a happy ending. A lot of authors would be tempted to "fix" the end if Harry dies but if the series ends well for Harry then I can't imagine a follow-up that could possibly undo that would be well-received by publishers or readers.

I loved all the books, I cried at the end of the 5th en 6th book, and I'll definitely cry if Harry dies. I hope he'll survive but if he does't I hope he's not the only one who dies. So that he and Voldemort both die. But it would be so weird to read the first books again if you already know he died.. So I hope he'll survive!

I don't think Harry will die, but I think maybe Hermione or Ron or even both will. I could imagine both of them sacrificing themselves for Harry, and they're both smart (Hermione is obviously, but Ron is too if he just focus) so Voldemort would want to kill them off, at least Hermione cause she helped Harry in every book. In the first 2/3 he wouldn't have made it if it hadn't been for her (the potions in PS, the snake in CoS and the time-turner in PoA) so I guess Voldemort would want her dead.

I hope they'll survive too, I love their characters, but I agree with what you say, there's a big chance Voldemort wants them dead..

I don't want Snape to die. Bellatrix and Wormtail should die horrible painful deaths though.
