I can’t remember the last time I ate deviled eggs. Usually had them around Easter but it’s a good thing I rarely have them cause I can eat 10 of them and only one or two eggs in a day is enough for a person.

What are you up to? I haven’t done a thing except fold my towels out of the dryer and put away the laundry in my basket. I have to clean up a hairball too but I hate doing that..

I should go out and get food and hopefully a lap tray.

I'm not that fond of deviled eggs, just that they remind me of the holidays. I'm surprised my dr. told me to eat more eggs daily if it's not good for me.

My cat doesn't have hairballs. She sometimes gets sick from eating too much food. I've been lucky-none of my 3 cats had hairballs. I wonder if it's a breed thing? All of mine were the same breed.

I started looking at toaster ovens on Amazon. At least there I have a big selection, and I have the reviews to help me decide.

It will be nice for you to have that lap board. I'll possibly look on Amazon for one, too.

Edit-I just realized why my dr. said that-because I don't eat much, there isn't much I will actually eat, and I don't really get any protein anywhere else.

Also, BBC America is X-files, season 1, through the weekend.

I found one! A laptop desk. It has a wooden looking surface, will be good for either eating on my lap or colouring, or putting my iPad on!

I went to Safeway and got some perogies, sushi (thanks to Claire’s influence) and cheese, meat and crackers, mostly stuff from the ready made area.

Yeah eggs are good source of protein and also, beans or nuts but I’m not sure you eat those.

Ooh, why BBC! you should watch the first season. It was really quite good, and especially you should watch the episode called “Ice”!

Awesome!

It also sounds like you got some food you love.

I don't eat nuts, and I don't eat beans, so, no. Peanut butter I do, though I don't like it often.

I'm watching a Criminal Minds marathon. It's my favorite season, season 5. I'm not up for starting a new series on a marathon-I usually don't pay enough attention to the TV to follow along.

Which of your foods are you having for dinner?

Well, I had the sushi so that’s probably my dinner and I opened a bag of these curled up tortilla chips with a spicy flavour. They are new on the market called “Takis”.

I wonder how you get all your nutrients with your limited palate. I’m thimking of getting some vitamin gummies. It might be an easy way for me to supplement my vitamins and minerals too.

Right now I’m watching a Rick Steves Easter in Europe special and then I’m not sure what to watch but I’m sure it won’t be real tv cause weekend television is so boring! I want to read my “Broken Girls” Library ebook though.

Happy Easter! I just had to remind my kids to have their easter eggs!

I sorry your mum did that, Kim. I'm glad you liked the food. Eggs must be a good idea for you then.

I hope you enjoyed your sushi, Leanne. I'm clearly a good influence! Also it's great you have some quiet mornings again.

I'm feeling ok now, thanks. I just need to go get dressed as we're off another family get together this morning. At least my daughter is being paid this time for babysitting the girls!

Kim, it sounds like you slowly drifted towards being a night owl Maybe if you force yourself to stay awake and not take any naps during the day you will sleep at night? Maybe you have already tried that and I didn't see.
But I know the feeling of "I selpt so much... I need a nap" It's so weird. You'd think the body should have rested enough.

It's totally awesome that you were able to walk into your mom's kitchen!!!!
And I have been wondering (and you have probably answered that a million times already) why your two kitties don't get along. I've never had a cat nor do I really know any cats but I always thought you could slowly introduce them to each other?

BTW you inspired me. Just saw they have S1 of Criminal Minds on Sky. Now rewatching it. It's been yeeeears

Leanne, so glad you had another quiet morning
And I also have one of those trays but I always feel like there yould be more filling. Maybe I should open it up and operate Glad you found one

Sounds like you bought some yummy things BTW my doc always says that if you eat enough fruits you don't need extra vitamins. It always sounds like you're eating fruits anyway.

Claire, Did they have to hunt for them or were they on the table? Have fun at the family thing!

Happy April Fools Day/Easter!

It's 1:30 am and I'm sucking on a melatonin for the third night in a row. Seems I can't get to sleep without aid since my brain chronically wants to rehash horrible memories and thoughts that prevent sleep!

Have fun in your family get together Clairebun! yeah, you made me want sushi, but it was just the kind the grocery store makes, not the specially made fresh sushi rolls I get at a real place in the mall which they make as soon as you order it!

Hope your leg is ok after your busy day, Kia.

Ok, I'm gonna attempt sleep any minute since my melt away melatonin has almost absorbed under my tongue. It tastes like chocolate mint so it's kind of yummy to take

Oh, sorry to hear you can't sleep Have you tried listening to podcasts? That usually helps me I just can't listen to "My dad wrote a porno", that makes me laugh too hard.

My legs both feel crappy today, but I'll show them who's boss

ETA maybe the taste is the problem. Your body tells your brain to wake up and get more of that mint chocolate stuff

I forgot it was April Fool's Day until we were driving over here!

I agree Kia, when I was having problems sleeping, I had to force myself to not nap and got back on track after that. Sorry you in pain again.

They knew where the eggs where, they were big eggs! I think they're a bit old for an Easter egg hunt.

Your sleep is getting put out again, Leanne. This seems to happen when you're not working...

My mom used to find very elaborate ways of hiding things so we did that until we were quite old

Wonder what the big newspapers are coming up with for April Fool's

Easter egg hunts aren't very common here.

My son seems to be going down with the flu. No appetite, upset stomach, temperature, blocked nose... poor thing. Not good for an asthmatic.

Had our family get together. I arrived to find our holiday plans had been totally thrown out for a different destination on a different day, in a different time of year. I wouldn't mind except It's going to interfere with the school sessions my son is supposed to be going to in July.

Ah, I didn't know that!

And sorry to hear that! Hope it's not this horrible influenza. Has it been as bad in England as here? Schools had to close down because so many people were ill. It hasn't been that bad in years. Fortunately numbers are declining again.

As for the holiday plans: I must sound like a broken record, but I don't get why your wishes, with children in school, don't have priority

I think I'm training myself to sleep through the noise upstairs because I managed to dream from 9-11:30 am after waking up after 8 and the kids were up. I'm hoping I can get accostumed to sleeping through their noise at some point, being a sensitive to sound and light sleeper. So Kia, that answers the qjestion of listening to podcasts or tv to sleep, I need quiet to get to sleep, but my own brain won't shut up

Claire, that's annoying they just decide things regardless of kids needing to be in school. real thoughtful of them. Yikes, your son is getting spring time flu? I hope not.
