I love it when Monty dresses up for CBS Mailbag, and also "Is this Anything?"

I love Monty too! And she always asks about the monkeys!
I am a Letterman devotee. I watch him over Jay Leno. Well especially the opening part. I dont know why, I'm just loyal to Dave. And I find it funny how he keeps adding all of these characters to his show, with Monty, and the models, the grinder girl, and the hollahoop girl. Plus Will It Float? How does he come up with such stupid things? Now almost every week he has Monty dress up to present "Know your current events" every -Thursday?- night? Jenn |

I've just always watched Dave. I'm not sure why, cause I got my mom and a few friends into watching the Late Show. I've been watching for as long as I can remember (actually I probably started not long after he moved to CBS - I was too young to watch him on NBC plus he was on later)
Love the title Monty is great. Does Dave still have the Survivor castaways over in the Hello Deli? Back when that show first started they used to stand over in the corner. Someone complained that he wasn't very nice to them cause they couldn't sit in the guest chair then next thing you know, they're being interviewed from Rupert's And who could not love Big Red and his inappropriate pleas That Alan! |

hey sarz where you lead I will follow
I've been watching Dave since I stumbled onto his first show(1979 or 80)which was on in the morning....it only lasted a year ..obviously not finding an audience with the soap opera bunch *not that there's anything wrong with that* well not much anyway and now that I have "the tivo" I never miss Dave or Craig Kilbourn for that matter. I actually have a pic of me and Ruben at the Hello Delli(pathetic yet satisfying at the same time).....he was just as non plussed as he is on the show...."was there any hanky panky on the island?".......I can't watch Jay.....I don't dislike him just find his monolog to be boring I can't stick with it.......one of Daves big moments for me was the first show after 9/11 It will be fun to have a place to dish Late Show moments and ppl..........thanks Sarz this will take you back ....anyone remember his *brush with greatness* in the audience bit? hey Poddy! You know I was just so excited about this new board (I lobbyed hard for it on the Mods board!) and I knew you'd love it too!
I dont recall his brush with greatness but yeah, I too loved it when Dave was one of the first to come back post 9/11--just one week later. That first week back had some of the best Dave epis--Remember when Dan Rather came on and they cried together? Amazing stuff! I love "know your cuts of meat" especially when they have Ozzies in the audience, If i ever go to NY, Dave will be the first place I visit! __________________

I've never been able to get into Dave, I'll watch sometimes, but not regularly. It's odd. He's funny and whatnot. Maybe I'm strange or something.

I was never a huge fan of Dave or late night tv, but I am now thanks to my boyfriend. Dave is definitely the king Interviewer. I really want to see him live and get that behind the scenes tour my boyfriend has been promising me since he worked there Mmm, someday...

Hi all
I'm not a huge Dave fan but watch at times. My sis records his shows (coz here they're on from any time between 12 and 2) and watches them back later. I like the songs for each segment. All this talk about Know your Current events has me singing.... Know Know Know Know Your Current Events...... __________________

Monty was almost attacked by the turkey tonight. Poor Monty, Dave always makes her do weird stuff. Like kiss the turkey's head.

Hey Mezz You just need to watch more shows where elese will you see a gazillion ping pong balls dropped off a building? That's right nowhere!
Magical I like your sig line...thought provoking. thought I'd drop off Daves top ten from his baby week Top Ten Reasons I'm Excited To Be A Father 10. Instead of "You suck, Dave," I can look forward to "You suck, Dad" 9. All of America will get to watch him grow up on television, just like Cody Gifford! 8. My used hairpieces make cuddly fuzzy pals 7. Only the most cold-hearted state trooper would ticket a guy with an adorable baby 6. Asking mom to watch baby perfect way to keep her away from dog track 5. I stocked up on moist towelettes from the hospital supply room 4. Great new excuse for not hanging out with Regis 3. Anxious to put to use all the practice I've had raising my pet monkey Kenny 2. Two words: Swedish nanny 1. There is now tangible evidence that I have had sex [ 11-29-2003: Message edited podmom ] __________________

Hey Mezzi!
I loved it when Russell Crowe was on and he asked dave if he had any advice on being a new dad, and Dave goes, "Well Russell, being a father for 9 days......." It was cute. Thanx Poddy for that Top Ten list, i lmao-ed when Dave came out for his opening monologue and said, "Sorry I'm late, i've been interviewing hot nannies." Ahhh Dave, is there anything you can't do? __________________
