Turunc is lovely, it's not so commercialised, so very relaxing

I've broken up from work today until the 6th October, so I'm going to chill, while the girls are at school

It's nice to go somewhere that's not so touristy, nice and peaceful.

Awesome. I've got two weeks off next week myself, just got Saturday to go, then I'm off. Will be going over to Dartmoor and staying at a hotel for a couple of nights next week, but that's really only about an hour away from where I live. The rest of my time off - posting, relaxing and posting!

Okay so I've booked for a week next year, but changed my mind of dates and destination :
I'm going 21st May, (Whitsun) to Turkey, but Icmeler, the next bay around from Turunc, I like the look of the apartments, and got two free child places, so I couldn't resist really, I've been there before and it's lovely, so I'm happy

Glad you've got two weeks off Liv, sounds like you'll have a nice relaxing fortnight, it sure makes a change from early morning get ups

Yeah, I'm so happy about it. I only really have two days of early mornings, but I tend to get up early most mornings regardless. I'm really going to catch up on some sleep. Now, posting marathon! I'm going to see if I can reach 25K before the end of my two weeks off…wonder if I can do it…!

My mum came back from my sister's civil partnership wedding yesterday (it was on Friday). She showed us a film that was taken on her camcorder of the ceremony. It really looked quite a lovely ceremony. Very simple and very low key. I'm really glad it went off ok. So happy about that.

Sundays are normally the only day I can have an extra hour in bed

It's so lovely to be at home more, I'd forgotten what it's like to have more time to do things you need too, without rushing all of the time. I've been to do the grocery shop at Asda this morning, came back home, had lunch, tidied around, and been able to put the gammon on early for tea. I'm going to my daughters High School tonight, as it's Open day and my youngest starts there next year, so she wants to look around, she's lucky that her sister is already there to show her where everything is, so I'm hoping it's going to be a little easier for her to settle there than it was for my eldest

That's great you've had more time to get things done at your own pace. It's nice when you can do that instead of rushing around all the time.

It's always good when you have an older sister to help show you around when starting a new school. I hope she'll settle in well.

I'm setting off to Dartmoor tomorrow, will be back on Friday. Will let Steph know, and also ask a few to help out with the count in the first couple of days for October.

Oh, that would be lovely, hope you've had a good rest, the weather has been lovely for the time of year I'm back at work on Monday I could get used to being at home full time, it really spoils you having a break

I wouldn't say it was totally relaxing. I had to have the dog with me in my room, (the hotel we stayed at allowed dogs) and the first night she slept on the bed with me (it was a double full poster bed) but she kept going over to my side and not letting me have any room. I must have woken up a dozen times throughout the night. It was nice in a way, snuggling up with her, but I needed more room.

I didn't let her on the bed last night, so she had either the option of the sofa or her own basket. She slept on the sofa to begin with (we had a cover to put on it) but later on I heard her put her paw up on the bed, wanting to come up, so I was like "no Pippa", half asleep. A little later I woke up to check where she was and she was on the other sofa. I used my mobile as a torch and saw that she seemed to have made a nest for herself with the cushions. It was so cute and funny, I had to take a picture on my phone. Will try to post it up here if I can. But yeah, didn't really get a whole lot of sleep. I can barely keep my eyes open tonight and for some reason my throat is a little dry and itchy. I hope I'm not coming down with something!

Yes, we were really lucky with the weather yesterday, it was lovely on the moors. Sucks you've got to be back at work on Monday. I could get used to it too, it's going to be really depressing going back to work after two weeks off. The more you have off, the more spoiled you get, I guess.

Aww Pippa sounds so cute, it's lovely that you got to take her with you, I bet she got loads of walks it really does spoil you having time off, but I guess you have to get back into the routine at some point I'm having trouble getting the ipad off the girls to do my posting, they keep face timing their friends
