Ok, here is where I was going to put some great gifs in, but I wasn't sure what to use. So here's an idea - tell me your favourite holiday destinations and I'll try to find gifs (if not pics) of them. Then I'll add them here! :)

Hisaronu, Turkey

Tftnt Liv  love the aeroplane gif

There are lots of holiday destinations I've been to, and love so much, but also hundreds I would love to go to, and probably never will!

My favourite at the moment is Turkey, (probably because that's where I'm going in just over three weeks time) this is my third visit, and I was very apprehensive about going at first, I just didn't fancy it much, but thought I would give it a go, and it's so wonderfully scenic and beautiful, very green, which I didn't expect for such a hot country :)I'm going to a place called Hisaronu, in the mountains, I've not stayed at this particular part of Turkey before so I'm hoping it's as nice as the others.

My lifelong ambition is to go to the Canadian Rockies though, on the Rocky Mountain train, a colleague of mine us going in our shutdown period and it sounds just fantastic.

What about you Liv, where have you visited and where would you most like to go? ;)

tftnt hun.

Hmmm for now, I would say Mexicoooo. :sun:

You're welcome! :)

I've never fancied Turkey myself, but it sounds like some areas are nice. :) There's so many awesome places I want to visit. I've always wanted to visit Yellowstone National Park, it's so beautiful there. Great for wildlife spotting. :sigh: I've been to Paris in France, Costa Del Sol in Spain and Sorrento in Italy, but I'd love to visit more areas of those countries.

Canadian Rockies is beautiful, definitely another scenic place to add to my list. I also would love to go to New York and Florida one day. Ideally, I'd like to just take a whole year off and travel! But taking breaks in between.

I'll go find some gifs/pics/maybe even video clips. :D

Yellowstone National Park sounds great :) like I say in never fancied Turkey, but now I want to visit all of the regions, there's something there for everyone ;)

New York, I'm determined to go soon, just for a long weekend of Christmas shopping :D

Sorrento in Italy looks beautiful, while the girls have been young I've always felt there wouldn't be enough for them to do there, but as they get older I think they would enjoy it :)

I went to Florida five years ago, did Disney and everything, just a fantastic experience, but now I feel I need to relax for two weeks, as you're on the go all of the time

Goodness there are so many fab places ;)

Mexico sounds fab too Stephie!

Agh, sorry things cropped up a lot yesterday, didn't get a lot done and now I've got bad toothache, coming out in sympathy with my mum I guess. :(

Toothache's gone now. I think it's more of my wisdom teeth coming through. What a relief, for a moment there I thought I was going to need to book an emergency dentist's appointment. Now, just gotta take extra care with them before my general check up comes. :)

Ok. Back to holiday destinations. Now I'll look for the gifs/pics. :D

Becwelling 07-11-2014 02:05 AM

So glad your toothaches gone better Liv, there's nothing worse :(

I've been trying on and off most of the morning to get on Fan Forum, but it's running so slow

livstevi21 07-11-2014 03:08 AM

Thanks. :) It was getting rather painful, I'm just glad it wasn't anything serious!

Yeah, :ff: does sometimes get rather slow in the mornings around 9am. It tends to double post me when I try to post at that time. But it's not too often it happens. :)

I'm counting down to my holiday now, I'm quite excited, I think it must be because it seems ages since my last proper holiday  I've normally booked for next year by now but I'm not sure where to go, I love Turkey so I have said I'll try other parts, but there are so many new places to try, plus it has to suit the girls :look:

livstevi21 07-16-2014 06:33 AM

Ooh, exciting. :D Yeah, it's so hard to choose where to go 'cause there's so many great places to visit. :sigh: And of course what would suit you best.

I haven't been on a proper holiday away from the UK since I went to Italy back in 2005!

Becwelling 07-16-2014 07:41 AM

There are loads of lovely places in England though, I'm thinking of doing a couple of Uk short breaks next year, maybe Weymouth, or Burnham, I've been told they both have excellent caravan sites ;) I've thought of a Greek Island but I think they may be too quiet for us, I do like quiet, but not if there's nothing to do on an evening

livstevi21 07-17-2014 11:32 AM

That's true, there are many beautiful spots in the UK. The Lake District, and South Devon and Cornwall has plenty of beauty spots and great places for holidays.

I've just had 10X more holidays in this country over the years than anywhere else, so I need to go to other countries.

Becwelling 07-18-2014 03:16 AM

That's funny because I think for me it's the other way around, I really need to visit some of our beautiful places. I went to Hastings a couple of years ago and I just loved the history there :)

livstevi21 07-18-2014 10:54 AM

I've been to Hastings before. :) A long time ago now though. I guess the only part of the UK I haven't been to yet is Ireland. There are still plenty of places here I've yet to explore though. Most of my UK holidays in my childhood were always to the same places. I'm from Kent originally, but we always came down to South Devon on our holidays, so it's funny how we live here now. :)

Becwelling 07-18-2014 02:47 PM

South Devon is a beautiful place to live, it's like you're on holiday every day ;)
