I think a lot of Zachary Quinto fans went to the movie just to see him.

I loved the movie..
I am an older Star Trek fan.. watched the end of the origional series and its reruns. then new versions of Star Trek.
The origional is still my favorite series..

I thought the movie tied in quite nicely with the series and the other movies.

I hadn't seen any of the other actors prior to the movie. I think that maybe made the movie better for me because I had no preconceived notions abou them.

I have seen the movie 6 times so far.

I took my 19yr old son with me. He hadn't really seen any of the old Star Trek. He completely enjoyed the movie. I had to give an abridged version of the origional Star Trek.

I would go see more movies with the new set of actors.

Live long and prosper..

I wasn't familiar with any of the actors either. I know a lot of Heroes fans had reservations about Quinto being too identified with Sylar to do a convincing job with Spock, but having only seen his portrayal of Spock, I'm completely sold.

I didn't realize that there were awards for best trailer either.

Jeslyn - it's definitely a movie that's worth seeing on a big screen. Bet you'd go see it in IMAX if you could.

What is worse is when the trailer is better than the movie, not a good sign if they can fit all the best bits in to 1-2 minutes

i know!! i thought that with Angels & Demons. then there are the trailers that show clips that aren't even in the movie.

Very true. Unfortunately I've been to a couple of movies where I felt that the only good parts were the bits I had already seen in the trailer.
