Kirk: Matt Damon
Spock: Keanu Reeves
McCoy: Gary Sinise
Scotty: tough one--Kevin Smith or Jack Black maybe?
Sulu: totally drawing a blank on him

I never thought of Keanu for Spock, but that might work. Can't really see Gary Sinise as McCoy though, maybe because he's a bit old? What about the guy who plays Greg on the original CSI as McCoy?

Came across this and was wondering......

Do you think they are going to do the whole time travel thing? I find it hard to believe William would like his character used in another Star Trek film without him being in it somehow. Would it be a cameo you think? Or would he be a major player in the film? Thoughts?

Personally, I would have preferred a Voyager movie.

Having Shatner & Nimoy in a cameo might work, but I'm leary about that. I would have preferred if they came up with new characters for the movie, they could still make reference to existing characters and storylines, but it would have been nice to have something fresh.

I've never been a fan of time travel episodes, so I'd really prefer if they didn't take that route but I'm not sure how they'd get Shatner & Nimoy cameos without resorting to time travel. I suppose there's the alternate universe option. Nah, I'd rather have time travel than that.
