Star Trek XI - Movie news & rumors -warning, may contain spoilers
I think this warrants a thread of it's own for us to discuss the rumours about the direction the franchise is taking.
So far we know that JJ Abrams is at the helm but at this point there's no confirmation that he'll direct. Latest rumour is that he's looking to cast Matt Damon as a young James Kirk __________________

Baaa, I'd rather see a DS9, Voyager, or even an Enterprise movie rather than a TOS prequel (since that series has already had 6 ½ movies), but maybe that's just me.

I would rather they go with DS9, or Voyager too. Or maybe even combine casts or something. Have one huge ass movie!!

I can't say that I'm thrilled with the idea of another prequel. With all the established canon, they'll have to be really careful to take into account everything that has already happened.

Ashton Kutcher as Kirk, James Van der Beek as Spock, Beyonce as Uhura, and Tom Welling as Bones. |

Oh, that's cool. I never did see the rest in theatre b/c I wasn't into ST back then, (I just got into it this past year, and I know everything about it
 ) but I will def. see it in theatres this time...if Spock is in it... |
