I watched this for the first time the other day cause I was off work and figured it'd be a good way to pass a few hours.
Now i know they're meant to be the epic couple but i just didn't get it. there was somethig about Scarlett that jsut didn't sit right with me. __________________

Scarlett made me furious in the beginning
 but she grew on me  She is special, not a woman every man would want, well... they'd probably think they want her and end up like her first two husbands  Mitchell created an interesting, charming and also very edgy character. BTW has anyone read Rhett Butler's People by now? Any reviews? Please...  __________________

I guess I'm grateful to it because I brought it and GWTW together, and read Scarlett right afterwards. I couldn't have dealt with the unhappy ending otherwise  I never saw the mini-series though, to me Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh just are Scarlett and Rhett __________________

There's a thread for Rhett&Scarlett???? How did I not know about this?
RS are my all time favorite movie/book couple. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh were amazing in the movie. They definitely had the crazy passionate, I'm in love with you but you drive me crazy chemistry needed. I never read any of sequels, though I know how they end. I'm not really a fan of the idea that someone other than the original author would write a sequel for such an epic book. But I was really happy that in all the sequels they end up together. I mean, how could they not? __________________

I guess it's all part of that desire to "fix" the ending in your head. I was sobbing SO HARD when I got to the end of GWTW and Rhett said he didn't feel anything for Scarlett any more

Please add me to the list! Rhett and Scarlett are epic - they are my favourite movie couple ever (tied with Rick and Ilsa  )!I've loved this couple since I first saw the film when I was like 5! __________________
