I like the fact Justin didn't know anything about Brian, or about the 'Brian Kinney image' , for that matter, when they first met because that way he wasn't intimidated by "The stud of Liberty Ave" or tried too hard to be one of his many guys, Justin was a young guy who had a crash on an older man. I think that's what attracted Brian to him (among other things... ) and made it last longer than a crash.

But still it was a rather brave choice to expose Brian's more tender side right at the pilot, esp in a sex scene, because sex (with tricks... ) was always something he did with maximum amount of pleasure and minimum amount of pain but in his first time with Justin things are much more tender.
I know it wasn't love at first sight for Brian and all that and that he did that because he knew Justin was unexperienced but I believe it was more than that.

I don't know if I would call their first sex encounter as tender. I think Brian took particular care of Justin because Justin was a virgin, but when I think of "tender", I think of something different

I don't think it was really tender either...Brian went slow and careful in order not to hurt Justin but there was heat and passion there.

Tender to me was S2 'Like the first time' naturally and after the proposal at Britin...I would have loved to have seen more of that!

"Like the first time' will forever be my fav B/J mopment because it's got sooo much emotion and love in it but I still feel as though there was a certain amount of tenderness in B/J's first sex scene and not just because Brian knew it was Justin's first time. I mean the first time we see Brian Kinney on screen he's with a trick behaving lkke the stud of Liberty Ave. but then when he's in bed with Justin it's as if he sort of 'stripped down' that image.
