Oh, you mean like Lorelai did when she ran out on Max? Or when she slept with Chris without telling Luke it was over? Or when she said yes to Chris? Did she know it was "right" then?

Lorelai is the last person in the world that can give relationship advice.

It's a TV show not real life; Logan and rory are fictional characters so if I want to believe they're gonna get back together that's my prerogative thank you

IMO Logan deserves way better than Lorelai Leigh Gilmore.

I agree with you George Lorelai's quote bothers me, in extremities just look at that episode she couldn't decide on what a song made. Jessica I do believe that R/L will get back together some day, I want to at least. I appreciate karen and Jessica's point of view. I felt this was a horrible break up and I hate the last image of Logan a character i love is him walking near tears. I prefered Matt's soul mate friends ending to what we got.

Which is one of the reasons she didn't say something in the first place. She was right and I think she would have been the right person to ask because she knows from experience. She told Rory that cause she knew it was the right decision and because she knew what she was talking about, she also wanted Rory to feel better about her decision.

Oh and I am part sophie and I still hated Logans decision and I still managed to enjoy the episode. I am ticked at DR for breaking them up in this episode though!

I understand why Rory said no; of course I'm disappointed since I love them as a couple. But I'm not gonna trash Rory for a decision that does make sense. She has so much decisions to take about her future, marrying Logan now and going to SF would close many opportunities; I'm sorry but it's true. She wants to establish her career first and there's nothing wrong with that. I do think that they'll be able to find their way back to each other.
I totally agree Jessica.. That's totally the way I look at things.. You just put better words into it I think

Many people are bashing DS now and I think it's a little easy to say that it wouldn't have happened with ASP; she made Lorelai sleep with Chris 5 minutes after her break up with Luke; I think it was even worse

It's easy to go back to saying that ASP would have handled things 'better'

Who is to say that Logan was the only chance that Rory has for marriage? She is only 22 and just starting life. Logan is not the special, IMO.
Rory has shown of late that Lorelai's opinion doesn't always agree with hers, so I don't think that you can blame Lorelai for Rory turning down Logan.

Well, from a "guy" perspective, if she keeps spouting crap like "my terms" (me, me , me, mine, mine, mine, my, my ,my) and hiding behind mommy's skirts, she will, indubitably, have problems in that regard. (As has her role model, Lorelai; as we, and Max, Luke and Chris can all attest.)

What's with the Rory bashing. She's 22, is it so odd that right now she wants to concentrate on her life? She's young, she has plenty of time for marriage later.

IA. I was disappointed that Rory and Logan broke up, but I completely understand her point of view. Gilmore Girls is a show that's supposed to be based on strong women, not women who feel they need to be in relationships in order to be happy. I think Rory has been very dependent on guys throughout her life, and it is right for her to end the show independent and capable of facing the world on her own, as Lorelai did at the beginning of the show. I think she made the right decision, she still has the rest of her life ahead of her, I don't see how not getting married at 22 means that she will never get married. She made a mature decision and did not allow herself to be pressured into marriage (like Lorelai did with Chris) in order to hold onto her relationship.

And in response to GeorgeIII's comments, I personally don't see anything wrong with her trying to focus on her own life right now. Her relationship with Logan should not dictate her actions. And I don't see how she is "hiding behind mommy's skirts," Lorelai did not influence her decision. She allowed her to make it on her own, and Rory did.

I think you missed the point here. She is not being co-dependent on her mother. She is finally making decisions on her own. I still don't understand why it is wrong for Rory to focus on her career at this point in her life.

I have thought before that Rory relied to much on her mother and her relationships with guys, and I was happy that she finally began to act like an adult, making responsible, mature decisions. I felt bad for Logan, but I think this was a necessary step in Rory's character development before the end of the series.

Due to KTLA's live coverage of the wrath-of-God fire in Griffith Park, "Gilmore Girls" and "Veronica Mars" were pre-empted Tuesday night. The new episodes have been rescheduled, however, with "Gilmore" airing on Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. and "Veronica" following at 9 p.m.

She has her mother for support, yeah. But I certainly wouldn't call her co-dependant. A lot of people go to their friends/family for advice, doesn't mean their dependant on them.
