Yeah, I can see her doing that. She had Anna do some subtle flirting with Luke in season 6, but there was nothing like that in season 7.

Thank goodness we didn’t have to deal with that.

Indeed. It would cheapen Luke's character, for him to be with the woman who kept his daughter hidden from him for 12 years. And they already really butchered his character enough in season 6, without that. I much prefer the redemption arc we got from Luke in season 7. I at least, saw it as that.

Well, we know for a fact Lorelai doesn't love Chris (she is not in love with him, since she is still in love with Luke and had only ever been in love with Luke). Maybe Chris was in love with Lorelai, but it was all one way.

I totally hate that I "love you" all the time, it's so annoying, but I think Lorelai kept saying that to convince herself that she loves him. ASP once said that she didn't let Luke and Lorelai keep saying it because LL has always seen how much they love each other, so they didn't have to keep saying it! And I think she would never have let Lorelai say that to Chris that often in Season 7 !!! But because Lorelai and Luke never said (except once) that they love each other, you get even more upset that she says it to a man she obviously doesn't love. ASP didn't like the "I will always love you" scene either, because they didn't want Lorelai to come across so shallow, for her the scene didn't fit - she would never have written it like that, but let's be honest, the scene where Lorelai for him singing is a dream, i love this moment so much.

Yes, she was definitely trying to convince herself and Chris of it, because it wasn't true. If she kept saying it, she could make herself and Chris believe it. And because we know she doesn't mean it, it makes her saying so cringey.

I think it was pretty obvious the whole time she was trying to convince herself she loved Chris.

Anna is a freaking beyotch, sorry.

Chris wants another baby? Really? And Gigi isn't even that old. I understood Lor's frustration too when he said Rory turned out good lol. Yeah bro, you really had no part in that and I'm sorry but I can't really forgive Christopher for that still.

The LL moment was short but sweet, too bad Chris has to go ruin it. I totally forgot they fought at the end too, so dumb!

Interesting to see Emily concerned about her relationship with Chris but I don't really get what she was trying to accomplish with that conversation.

The whole Marty thing is so old and overplayed now. Why are we still on this? Logan was a total ass for just mentioning to Lucy that they knew each other, like what the hell. He easily could have lied for Rory, he was just jealous. Stupid. And imo it wouldnt make sense that Olivia would be so mad at Rory too.

Anyways, another blah episode. Seems im watching once a month now.

I know they shouldn’t have lied to Lucy. But Marty put Rory in that position. Logan should have just went along with it.

Ugh to Anna.

onebreath 01-18-2022 02:08 AM

Agreed that Logan was an ass for doing that.

That tiny LL moment was better than anything between Lorelai and Chris through their entire relationship. :D

Lindsay 01-20-2022 09:00 AM

^ Yes, it was. :)

onebreath 01-20-2022 10:10 AM

It was just so much more meaningful since they actually love each other. The Lorelai and Chris relationship was all fake, on Lorelai's part, since she was rebounding, and with Chris, it was him taking advantage of her vulnerability. So nothing was truly genuine. None of the "sweet" of "happy" moments were truly real. So when you get that small moment between LL, it's filled with all these emotions. It was sweet and happy. And a genuine sweet and happy.

711: I liked the beginning and seeing Rory and Lorelai together again. That's def. been lacking this season. God it makes me miss the early years when they lived together.

It was sweet when Luke asked Lor to write a character reference for him. And you can tell by her face she was really proud of him for fighting for April and its hard not to compare that to Chris and his previous actions with Rory.

Also when Luke was talking about all the stuff Luke got Rory over the years, again reminding everyone that Luke WAS there for Rory. :bawl: AND WHEN IT SNOWED AS LOR SENT THE LETTER. sdfdsfdsf

I enjoyed this one a lot!

onebreath 01-28-2022 02:27 AM

I really enjoy 7.11. Definitely one of the better episodes of the season.

Lindsay 01-28-2022 11:14 AM

I did like that scene in the mall with all of them. It was nice.

onebreath 02-11-2022 12:54 AM

It was a sweet scene that really proved how Luke was there for Rory, while Chris was not.

Talula78 02-12-2022 08:30 AM

The character reference gives me all the feels! :sigh:

onebreath 02-12-2022 04:37 PM

So many feels.

"Once Luke Danes is in your life, he is kn your life forever."

Byeeee, Chris. Let the door smack you several times on the way out.
