Yep, completely opposite.

I strongly remember this episode and remembered really liking it too. I do think it was one of the better ones of season 7 but maybe I'm a tad biased because I love fall time. Upon rewatch it wasn't that good lmao. But I did really like seeing Rory back in stars hollow and seeing the towns antics because it really felt like old GG.

I did enjoy the talks between both Lor/Luke and also Lor/Logan.

Not much else to say really! Its crazy how close i am to the end finally. After like years

I like this episode enough, but after so many rewatches I don't enjoy it as I did at first. I just don't think the s7 writers capture that SH feel that ASP did. So I get what they were trying to do with the hay bale maze event, but it just doesn't compare to previous seasons with events in the town.

Logan's speech annoys me now because he obviously was talking BS, considering where he's at in AYITL. It also took him that long into their relationship to even visit Rory's hometown? Hmm, not good imo.

I did LOVE the apology conversation between Luke and Lorelai. It was brief, but it was SO needed. Now this is where I credit the s7 writers because I don't think ASP would have had them apologise to each other at all. I also liked the moment at the town meeting with April. It was sweet when Lorelai hugged her.

Yes! I loved the apology scene with Luke/Lorelai. The best part of the episode imo.

It was.

I also agree with what you said about Logan. He was destined for his life with his family. He would never last long without that power and wealth. He needs that because it is who he is.

Was this the episode where he said something about just getting his first credit card statement so that meant he knew the value of money?

I agree. And yes, it was that episode.

Thanks, I thought it was but wasn't completely sure.

I didn't get around to watching an episode last week so I did two this week...

719:

Really loved this episode. Lorelai going into the diner was so cute, also loved her asking Luke to help her look for a car. When they finally started bickering, it was so cute how happy Lor got. But my favorite scene was definitely the ending scene when he found the engine for her, and then also told her he was getting a horn for her bike! That was adorable as heck and had me smiling!

Not sure what the point of breaking the dollhouse was?

Paris freaking out about what school to get into was a bit much. Poor Rory at the end.

720:

This episode wasn't one of my favs but it was okay. I did like Lor noticing that Luke was wearing the hat she gave him.

Lor was right, that Rory did have a bit of easy time thus far in life, so it was nice to see her struggling to get a job like a lot of people do, despite her going to an ivy league college.

Lorelai's karaoke wasn't as cringey as I thought it was the first time. I mean, i still think that the actress could have sang it better, but im sure they wanted it to be more realistic the way it was... but the first time i remembered thinking that she embarrassed herself but I didnt really view it that way this time around. This time it felt sweet? Like she was acknowledging her feelings for Luke and was telling him I still love you, and he seemed happy to hear it too..

Lorelai's face at the end when Logan asked permission to propose to Rory. :lmao: Classic.

Will hopefully finish season 7 this week finally! YAY. And then i can finally rewatch the revival episodes for the first time.

Episode 719 is my favorite episode of season 7. It was so nice to see Luke and Lorelai finally get their friendship back to being on track, with their bantering. Lorelai missed that so much.

onebreath 05-29-2022 06:09 AM

I think it's probably my fave s7 episode too.

Absolutely adore Lorelai singing at the karaoke. One of highlights of the season. :D

stellar_dust 05-29-2022 07:08 AM

It really was. When Luke and Lorelai locked eyes. :melt:

All the good moments from the season are in the last set of episodes.

onebreath 05-30-2022 12:07 AM

Yep. There's a few LL moments from the middle of the season that are good (Lorelai holding Doula, Luke asking Lorelai to write the reference, the scene at the Discovery store with LL/April/Rory), but really, all the best stuff of the season happens at the end.
