I'm always on twitter whenever there's a race & I'm constantly amused at all the Vettel hate that I read. I know Kimi isn't everyone's fave driver because of his steely attitude but I have to say, Seb's getting a lot of flak lately.
Mark keeps saying that his decision to leave F1 has been made before the controversial Malaysian GP but I'd like to believe that what happened in that race between him & Seb was obviously a contributing factor to what he's been thinking of doing this year (which is to leave entirely). We've had a lot of drivers leave in the past but I'll miss Mark the most (the other being Rubens). __________________

Just to put the rumors to rest. I can't wait for this weekend's race after that very long hiatus.

It's really interesting that Kimi is being linked with his two former teams Ferrari and McLaren, tbh I can see why both teams would be interested in him rejoining them.

Di Resta from P1 to P5 was a bummer but still in a good position for the grid later. Van Der Garde in P14 is a great position for Caterham.
Lewis was absolutely brilliant during that dying seconds of Q3. Admittedly I didn't want Seb to be P1 yet again so it was nice that Lewis stole his thunder. I just hope it doesn't rain later although that would make for an exciting race. __________________

I actually wanted the rain, it really mixes it up, especially at Spa. I don't think today's race will go down as a classic, certainly not for Spa where there have been so many incredible races.
I was disappointed Lewis wasn't higher up on the podium but he simply didn't have the speed and was a sitting duck when Vettel was in the slip stream. __________________

What a ho-hum race. Vettel led the race and wasn't challenged by anyone at all. It's a shame Lewis didn't have the pace to lead as I was rooting for him to win. I too was hoping for rain just so something happens during the race.
We get another one week break until Monza. I hope someone wins this one who isn't German and driving for RBR. __________________

I'm pretty much lukewarm over later's race in Monza. Seb is leading in the points and unless he crashes out in every race until November (which isn't going to happen), then there's something to look forward to.
It's good that Daniel Ricciardo is now the 2nd driver confirmed with Seb for RBR next year. I think he's proven it time & time again since Mark announced he'll leave RBR. But each day that passes, I'm already missing Mark. A few days before practice in Monza, he celebrated his last F1 race in Europe. __________________

I have mixed feelings about this because I want Kimi to stay with Lotus. But driving alongside ALO next year would be the best signing yet that Ferrari has done. Welcome back to Ferrari, Kimi. BBC Sport - Kimi Raikkonen: Ferrari confirm Finn to partner Fernando Alonso __________________

Prayers for Schumi's speedy recovery and that he pulls through this.

It's been a bad few weeks for F1 and it's fans. I was so shocked when I heard about John Button. Poor Jenson and all his family, I'm sure Jenson will take it particularly hard given that I don't think his Dad had missed a race since he joined McLaren.
I may not have liked Michael Schumacher as a racing driver but I certainly wish him well and a full recovery. No one deserves to go through what he currently is and my thoughts are certainly with his family at this moment in time. In F1 news I see Bernie has stepped down from the board given the current court case against him but they have allowed him to carry on with the day to day running of the sport. __________________

Just a few more days until the season starts in Melbourne
I have no idea who is going to win this year in Australia (I even have doubts about who is going to finish the race), but I'm hoping Nico Hülkenberg gets his first podium this season |

So did anyone watch? That was pretty wild with the early retirements from Lewis & Seb. And only 14 cars classifed, last I checked?
So happy for rookie Kevin Magnussen on his first GP and first podium. Wow. Also Daniel Ricciardo on his first podium on his home soil. Not bad. __________________
