Iris West is a journalist in training. Barry Allen is the Flash (a.k.a The Red Streak). They grew up together after Barry's mother was murdered and Barry's father was convincted for her murder. Friendship; they are each other's best friends, they have a deep bond. Family;it's difficult for Barry to explain what he feels for Iris, she's the only family he had, but it runs so much deeper and Barry is just discovering that. Iris on the other hand is oblivious and fails to see what is right in front of her face.

After being hit by a lightning, Barry develops powers, now he is protecting the city from others like him, as the mysterious known as the R e d S t r e a k this will only further develop and complicate his relationship with Iris as her pursuit of journalism and the Streak will pull her closer to him but into danger.

Barry will work overtime alongside Iris's protective father (Joe), to keep his secret from Iris. Howeverwith Iris's inquistive nature and fasination with the impossible. She is determined to pursue the Flash.

Hey everyone, I'm a new member of this place & a die-hard WestAllen shipper.. I registered to this Fan Forum just to be signed up with WestAllen shipping of this place..I'm on Twitter & Tumblr all day ( not technically all day considering my studies & college stuffs ) hovering over WestAllen, Candice, Grant & majorly GranDice.. I don't know how have I got myself this insanely invested over this screen-burning pair of Grant & Candice , but now I'm at some realm of shipping from where I just can't walk back..


Though it's outta my territory to define the Chemistry Grant & Candice share - but , just want to put - I got stuck by the blazing , inflamed lightning of WestAllen / GranDice chemistry just from that instant they were first shown together onscreen during that initial minutes of "The Flash"s pilot..


They are Outshining , Grant & Candice while breathing lives in the characters of Barry Allen & Iris West..It's just season 1 and we are yet to sight steamy/flowery romantic scenes , but for me - GranDice have already gone above & beyond the perfection as WestAllen..


I know , I just blabbered way too much and my lingo presentation SUCKS ( I never can emote what I feel precisely ) , but , WestAllen / GranDice are incomparable part of my life now and I cant fend myself from fluttering mindlessly about them..

She doesn't need to be in on the secret to track down metahumans though. She expressed an interest in Firestorm awhile back yet no real follow up on that. Now that she's working at CCPN, we could see her get in on the action by investigating other metahumans but...nothing so far. The writers have even dropped the ball with the Iris/Flash dynamic. I was expecting more from their "reunion." A lot of missed opportunities so far but *hopefully*, we'll see them delve more into Iris/Flash/metahumans, starting next episode.

I'd like for her to be in on the secret too, at least by the beginning of season 2. I have a feeling the reveal will have something to do with the season cliffhanger though, fingers crossed! The faster we get everything out in the open the sooner they'll be on their way towards coupledom. Haha.

Hey fellow Flash/WestAllen fans! Like Capricious, I am also brand new to the boards and in total agreement with the power of WestAllen. It's kind of ridiculous...I've never been this actively involved with a show or fictional couple before.

I feel like they just grabbed me and said Gotcha sucker...now suffer through every minute of angst, dramatic irony, showrunners pandering to the opposing ship, O.O.C. writing, and lack of female lead P.O.V..
