Fun fact about the above scene ^^...there’s a fairly obvious continuity error in it, Iris isn’t wearing her wedding rings on the proper hand...her left is empty & if you watch the scene she’s wearing them on her right hand for it (likely she did it by accident and they shot most of the coverage then said screw it keep it there for the rest haha)

So I'm watching fan reactions to this episode and like 90% of people are confused as to why Barry didn't run at the end of the episode. I'm just like??? How can they miss that he didn't run because of Iris. The camera literally lingered on the picture of him and Iris...and then Barry says "Don't run". Beginning of the episode he tells Iris he doesn't need to run when he's with her. That obviously ties back into the ending. I feel like people willfully ignore Barrys' love for Iris...like she is his motivation for a lot of things in life, and if you choose to ignore that then you won't fully understand Barry's actions.

some people are very dense :lmao: that had to be the most obvious throwback to what he said at the beginning haha...Personally I LOVED the character development it showed in Barry, rather than run from his problems or eff up the timeline he chose to stay put and deal with them with the help of the love of his life — it’s all he needs, as long as she’s on his side he can handle anything. Made the decision and the gravity of the situation a little more bearable knowing he felt that way.

I didn't realize that the beginning tied back to the end. I felt like he was just being his usual romantic self but it couldn't have been made more obvious that he didn't run because of Iris. And running would be an admission of guilt anyway.

I think Clifford and Marlize were betting on Barry staying. When Marlize said that she would do anything to save her marriage she knew that Barry would do the same for Iris. What I'd like to know is what they need Barry in prison for. It should tie back to the warden and some of the bus metas.

I agree, with those who were talking about Barry's growth. Not running, which he has spent a lifetime of doing. Powers or not, it has been his go to move. It's a nice change. I like growth in characters. When they don't grow and change, I get board.

We really didn't get to see our couple celebrate Christmas this year. What would you have liked to seen? For me, it would have been Christmas morning, opening gifts, Barry making a big breakfast, the stockings.......

I think the caterer at the wedding will be their daughter. Remember in the first episode of the season Barry said "Nora shouldn't be here." My guess is that the girl is their daughter Nora Dawn. Maybe she won't say that her name is Dawn but she will say her name is Nora, like Barry's mother.

^ Yes, that's the popular theory going around. I think it's funny how even fanboys are excited about this mysterious character being their daughter. They hate Iris but want the Tornado Twins and Bart Allen. Well guess what, you can't get none of that without Iris West-Allen :lol:

I wanted to see them waking up in bed together and exchanging gifts.

I can't wait to see Dawn again. :yay: She's like the byline. This exciting foreshadowing of Westallen's love. :love:
