Their scenes are so cinematic looking, it's great. This whole season was that way, come to think of it.

Yehesss. My favorite is the blue dress and hat at the cafe. I love her style this year.

Lasso I like the idea in your story that Tony had brothers & wasn't fully prepared or expected to become Lord Gillingham. Never thought of that.

Indeed. And Mary's behaviour was just .. unbelievably stupid. She mustn't choose her lover by his or his family's fortune any more. S1 Mary seems to be back. No, thanks.

I get that she's practical, but I wish she'd be less mercenary about it because it's just bad form. And she thinks this is a game so I'm afraid for this already sad man's heart.

I know some find it off putting but this guy is in deep trouble the way Downton was--and he threw over the heiress of the season for her. When he said that thing about not being eligible that's when the gravity of the situation hit me. It happened fast but he loves her in a very reckless way, but people do crazy things when they're in love.
