Tension between the fan groups here at the Once Upon A Time Board are quite high. As a result rules have been broken. In an effort to curb "fan wars" the board will use a "3-Strike Rule."

The rule is pretty easy to understand. Each shipper thread, character thread, or general thread will be given a strike when a rule on the board is broken. Once the second strike has been issued, the moderators will consult with the Moderator Managers about a possible temporary thread closure. If a third strike occurs, the thread may be closed for 24 hours. All strikes expire 6 months after they've been issued.

We understand that this may appear to be harsh but it has gotten to the point where a simple slap on the hand will not do the trick. Everyone should be respected on the board.

Some of the strikes we will be looking for are the following:

• Bashing of fans groups and shipper threads (title, conversation, etc.)
• Bashing and making fun of any couple. Constructive criticism and comparisons are fine, but it will be our discretion as to whether or not it crosses the line.
• Bashing either fanbase or taking posts from their thread is not allowed.
• Lurking in the other threads is strongly discouraged and members should leave it up to the moderators of that thread to control them (but by all means, if you see a rule being broken, report it)
• Making fun of titles, or using titles that take jabs at the other fanbase is not allowed.

Hey, guys! I've been here for months since the end of last season, but I haven't formally introduced myself! Guh, where're my manners! Now I should do what I should've done long before. I'm so glad to have such a nice place with a group of Once fans to talk with! In reality, I'm quite a lonely man like Mr. Gold in the cursed days. Every hopeless day I feel like a faceless man in a crowd of heartless colleagues doing mindless work under a ruthless boss's supervision in an endless track without anyone to watch this flawless show together. When I take a break and catch up with you guys to talk about this spectacular Fairytale drama down to every teeny tiny details, the different opinions and thought I get are my enlightenment, giving me a profound understanding on characters and plots with a chance to hone my language expressing skills. Thank you!

Name: Jonathan Gao. Call me Jonathan or Johnny. Siobhan Magnus, in my username, is my favorite contestant in American Idol season 9. She's got a really powerful voice, capable to hit ridiculous high notes over the roof top, but to my disappointment, after ending up in the 6th place, she didn't make a difference in music business.

Location: Hong Kong, located in the southmost corner of Far East in Asia. Its sovereignty was retrieved by China's government on 1997, allowed to retain its previous capitalism and currency. English is the official language here. Usually I watch every new episode on Monday night on my laptop at dusk when America has just ushered in the dawn of a new week. A little bit later, but it doesn't matter, though.

Birthday: December 23, 1988. Very close to Christmas eve, and in this month!

Favorite OUAT Character & why? Rumplestiltskin! He is the man with the most complicated personality and background. The book of Rumple's history is thicker than anyone else's, and I'm patient and willing to read every page. First and foremost, unlike Regina, Cora, Hook and other villains, Rumple is a businessman with no personal preference. He doesn't ally with anyone, even though it seems like an alliance or a friendship sometimes. He only uses people -- except for the people he loves and cares about, of course -- to get what he wants. In his philosophy, mutual benefits can unite the worst enemies to work together and put their hatred, disputes, conflicts or any other differences aside. To protect Belle and the town from the imminent threat of Cora's arrival, he chose to cooperate with Regina, the woman who locked his Belle for 28 years. It was like the alliance of US and Japan built right after World War II to combat with the burgeoning thread of communism. If Gold, the master of manipulation, was playing a gargantuan chess game, then on his board of checkers, Regina would be the queen, Charmings the rooks, knights and bishops, and other townsfolk just pawns. Without a true love, Regina is an incorrigible evil queen who won't succeed to redeem herself, while Rumple, with Belle's incredible, truthful and eternal love to him, can definitely become a good man.

My favorite female character is Emma Swan, the savior of Storybrooke, the kingpin of the Charming Clan, the star of the show. With a contemporary background of modern society with a zeitgeist of cynicism, she is a misfit who faded out of the world outside she grew up in and tuned in a bucolic smallville in Maine where, with her son and parents, she was meant to go back to the right way, regaining the undying faith as the tradition of her family. In the first 17 years of her life, she was always a sweet girl born with purity, vivacity, innocence and other good qualities. The love she fell in with Neal was a serendipity, fervent, passionate, bittersweet, flaming so bright like fire, yet quenched so quick like fire as well. Since that defining turn, the next 11 years taught her independence, liberty and badassery, yet with negative fallouts of skepticism, nonchalance and pragmatism, which led she to make mistakes sometimes when her judgement was clouded by urgency, insecurity and concern, thus being used by some bad ones' tricks. Rumple pushes himself to make a change, unpacking his heart to the utmost sincerity for people he loves, so does Emma.

Favorite OUAT Couple & why? My favorite couples are Rumbelle and Nemma whose relationship are presented in a twisted yet memorable way. I love Snowing as well, but their love is just too perfect without much flaws to criticize or mysteries to solve, so I enjoy with Rumbelle and Nemma more than them.

Anything else? Oh, seriously, Once is the most awesome tv series I've ever seen on TV. It is the beacon of a marvelous utopia with the iridescent light it radiates shining upon me through the thick mist of ignorance beyond the Pacific Ocean to my small dwelling place in oblivion where it feeds my brain, awakens my soul, enlightens my mind and unleashed my imagination. Adam and Edward, the creators of Lost, have set the bar high above an army of other contemporary shows, writing a legendary hit on tv, and with Once, they reach to the top, making a new record of ratings in the past three years. I'm grateful to them for all the extraordinary job they've done.

Running with several core conceptions beyond a juxtaposition of individual, canonical, original fairytales, Once is a fantastic drama full of sacrifice, family, penance, commitment, revenge and connection, and all of these elements are fruits borne by TRUE LOVE. Mr. Gold believes that magic is power, but what he has yet to learn is that magic is just the way to turn love into power, and the process of which is what this show's plot is all about. As it did an extraordinary work at the development of characters with witty, profound, intoxicating flashbacks that account for almost a half of every episode, everyone on this show, either a major or a supporting character, has an outstanding personality which is forged in their pasts, reflected in their behaviors and defining the way they think and act.

Once has a magical cast bringing forth exquisite portrayals with infectious looks, great chemistry and dynamic dialogues. To me, the standard to gauge an actor or an actress's acting skill is what I heard from a Broadway show --- "The drama, the laughter, the tears just like pearls, well, they're all in this one's repertoire!" Well, everyone in this show's cast, especially the regulars, literally reaches that level in all aspects, as sometimes the information a simple eye contact conveys is more than ten lines. Whenever Once is on, its brilliant writers' intrigued plot and the experienced cast's tours de force play a duet that could make me forget where I am. The magic it holds really makes me see things differently, as effective as the secret in August's box on the backseat of his motorcycle.

Compared with those jaw-dropping, eye-popping and heart-thumping reality shows full of superficial, cheesy and indecent performances, Once's love stories hold the power to move me into tears sometimes when it comes to a climax with a pouring rain of emotional drops. This show is an utter indulgence to watch. On a creative, solid and advantageous basis of already well-known classic fairytales, Once runs in a long term, having all of its stories driven by a major plot throughout a season with an ultimate goal to achieve and a significant theme reflected in every single episode. The plot goes like an unsteady ride moving forward in an irregular speed, usually taking baby steps as plenty of time are spent on development of recurring characters, yet sometimes as fast as wind, with almost every scene for the main characters' plans. This storytelling style is exemplified in this season's arrangement of the mother/daughter duo's adventure, of which their scenes in Lady of the Lake, Tallahassee and Into the Deep account for almost a half as to hasten their return, while on the contrary, only one ending scene or a few scenes were featured in other episodes.

Benefitted from the one of Lost's legacies, Once is set in two dimensions from the beginning, enlarged into three in this season. With the talented producers' wizardry in parallelism, all the scenes in an episode are tightly integrated into a whole package, as seamless as the way Steve Jobs merged the hardware and software all in one in those exquisite Apple products he created. Shifting back and forth between real and fictional worlds, one is always involved with another and never disjoint. I remember that in last season's finale, when Charming questioned Rumple's motive to ship him and Snow beside a bonfire on the bank, the Dark One quipped: "I'm a fan of true love, dearie! And more importantly, what it creates." And as a child is the best thing that a couple can reap from the soil of true love, there came a terrified Emma fighting with dragon! Likewise, right after a waitress served a cup of beer for Rumple in the local tavern, the scene was transited to a closeup on a glass of iced tea on Belle's table! It should be a technique being called as a specific term in aspect of filmmaking, which I don't know what it is, but it's amazing!

As a surprising bonus, another finesse is adopted to boost the ratings. When the airtime of an episode is close to a traditional holiday or a special event in reality, you can also feel the vibe, the celebration and the atmosphere in Storybrooke. Last season, Skin Deep, the tough start of Rumbelle, was put in Valentine Day's week, and the finale, featuring Emma's true love kiss that awoke Henry, was on at a Sunday quite close to Mother's Day. As in the continuity of this strategy, Dr. Whale turned out to be Victor Frankenstein with creepy elements of horror on Halloween --- remarkable, isn't it? In this spirit, Into the Deep might've paid a tribute to the 25th anniversary Michael Jackson's legendary Bad album release as the zombie assault was inspired by Thriller, and the scene of Charming stuck in the dark room with mirrors surrounding him was a vivid tableau of Man in the Mirror! It is very helpful to speculate the forthcoming plots.
