Rescued from the Fall - Invite Only

Walden Camp for Families has been renowned in its successful involvement in the assistance to troubled families. The camp, which has been doing family therapy in its relaxing setting since the late 1970s, welcomes families who need the help but cannot deal with the stuffiness of the offices. The camp is located by a lake, away from the city, and has twenty cabins at the disposition of their clients.

Our story follows eight of these families, each with reasons all their own for being there. What they have in common is the need to deal with their issues before it breaks them apart completely. The campers can spend most of their time around the facilities as they please, but also have family activities scheduled once a day, and a session with a counselor once a week. The general staying time is three weeks. Our families are just arriving.

THE FAMILIES

THE COUNSELORS - Extra
They are in charge of the sessions with the families and arranging the activities. They are at the disposal of their clients whenever they are needed, always there to listen to them if they need to talk.

(Counselor 1) David Carlson, 30 - Dimaranwen (PB: Ryan Reynolds)
(Counselor 2) Margot Walton, 36 - MoonSwirl (PB: Melinda Clarke)

Taken by: Dimaranwen
Name: David Carlson
Age: 30
How they feel: David always achieves a sense of fulfillment after really helping someone, especially since he knows how difficult life can be, and how tricky it is to emerge from it more or less unscathed. He's anxious for the next session to start. He's not much for idleness.
Personality: Left to take care of four siblings after his mother's death, David developed a strong sense of independence and determination to survive, supplemented by a kind heart. David cared less for himself than he did for his brothers and sisters. If anything had ever happened to them, he never would have forgiven himself. He's still his own worst enemy, criticizing every one of his actions, every one of his decisions. If a scapegoat is wanted, David almost willingly takes the blame and immediately atones for any fault that was committed. Aside from that disillusionment, David is realistic, scorning any whimsical ideals that come his way. He doesn't have much patience for fantasies, which can make his job frustrating sometimes. Some of the people that come to Walden are disillusioned, seeing only what they want to see, and David has low tolerance for that. He tries to do the best he can, though, and usually, he does his job well.
History: "Don't forget your lunch, David!" Rebecca Carlson chided her son, ruffling his hair before handing him his bagged lunch and smiling brightly before heading back inside. That was the last thing his mother told David, who was then thirteen years old. He returned home after school that chilly, October afternoon to discover his mother brutally slain during a botched burglary (turned robbery) attempt. The Carlsons were left with nothing: no mother, no material possessions of any worth. Mark Carlson was left to raise five children, but in order to keep food on the table, he relied on David, the oldest of the five, to take care of the others. David, still a child himself, looked after his two brothers and two sisters, and while each developed an ethical set of morals to live by, they couldn't escape the influence of the rough neighborhood in which they lived. David took advantage of the few extra-curricular activities offered at their rundown school and encouraged his siblings to do the same, hoping that doing so would improve their chances of staying off the streets and preparing for their futures. While David was at basketball practice or working part-time at the local 711, his siblings didn't exactly opt for Chess Club. They fell in with the rougher crowds, partly for protection, and the activity served as a distraction from reality. Even David was tempted by the promise of money, although none of it ever went into his own pocket. He engaged in illicit activities only when times were most dire. Eventually, David graduated, and pressure from his father persuaded him to go to college. David coasted the first few years with an undecided major, partying in his fraternity, having the fun he couldn't have during his adolescence. David finally settled on psychology, and he grew to love it, but he didn't want to be a psychologist in a plush office, pretending to listen to peoples' problems. When he received the job offer for Walden, he immediately accepted, and he feels comfortable there, even if the pay isn't fantastic. He's come a long way, just not quite far enough in his eyes.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Margot Walton
Age: 36
How they feel?: She loves working at the camp, helping people, but it still reminds her that she's alone.
Personality: Margot has energy, yes, but she doesn't tend to go crazy about it. She doesn't like to get overexcited. Besides, most of the time it'll simply end badly. She's not completely negative, she can't be with a job like hers, but still she hasn't found anything to confirm the validity of faith and hope. Still she likes to have fun, loves to let loose at the occasional party. When she' not working, with a client, she tends to be a lot more cynical than usual. She loves helping the campers though, so there's no problem approaching her if advice is needed. She also has a bit of a flare for the dramatic. If she feels a situation needs some loosening up, she's all over it.
History: Margot is from a broken home, and that's putting it lightly. She lived in a run-down neighborhood with her parents and her sister at the beginning, but that soon changed. First when she was four, her father left. Her mother couldn't keep their home, so they landed on the street. Four years later, her mother was killed. Margot and her sister remained on the street for another month before social services located them. They were quickly adopted - separately. Margot hasn't seen her sister in almost thirty years. Her life with the Waltons was very different from her birth family's life. The Waltons were middle-class people with two more adopted children. She loved being with them, but she really wished she could have stayed with her sister. As the years passed though, Margot adjusted. She studied psychology in college and after graduation she was told about Walden camp needing a new counselor. She jumped on the chance. She's worked there for years now, and she absolutely loves her job, besides the part where she gets to help families, it's a nice place to live in. Over the years, she's had a few relationships, but they all pretty much crashed and burned. Every time she tells herself she won't fall for those guys again, yet every time...

THE KEATING FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: After the death of his wife, Mr. Keating and his daughter need some help adjusting, but also reconnecting with one another.

(father) Robert Keating, 46 - ShiriS (PB: Tom Cruise)
(daughter) Sarah Keating, 17 - Dimaranwen (PB: Erica Durance)

Taken by: ShiriS
Name: Robert Keating
Age: 46
How they feel: He thinks this camp will be a good thing. It'll help he and Sara deal with Susan's death and it'll get him started up trying to make their relationship stronger. He's willing to try anything.
Personality: Robort is very high profile and he exppects alot from himself. He's a hardworker and he puts all his enegry into a job. He is definately one not to be a slacker. The day he is lazy and unbusy (with the exception of sleeping) is the day hell freezes over. Robert has all sorts of compassion for all sorts of people. He never judge anyone for being themselves. He never tells anyone to change. He just lets everyone be themselves. He's a firm believer in indivuality. Comforming to everyone's ideal 'image' is just not right in his eyes. Robert is the type of guy that would never hurt a fly and he always feels guilty when patients dye in his hands. He always tries his hardest to make sure they don't though. Always. Sadly, he knows more about his patients than he does his own daughter. In light of wha has happened though and being at this camp, is going to try and make up for all that he missed. He likes the saying 'If at first you don't succeeded - try, try again'. And he always does 'try, try' again. He does everything until he gets it right. Fail is not in his vocabulary.
History: Robert grew up in a family full of doctors. His mom was a pedaticitan and his father was surgen. His older brother became a doctor too so it's not no big surprise that Robert becaome a doctor as well. He truly loved helping people so being a doctor was the perfect profession for him. He met the love of his life while he was in med school. She was an art major and he had a few non medical classes with her. Her name was Susan and they were in love by the time she graduated. Since he had to stay in school a few more years, she stuck around to be with him. They ended up getting married after he graduated. They were very happy together. When Robert was 29, they had a little girl named Sarah. She was the apple of her daddy's eye but right around that time, Robert got employed as a surgeon at the local hospital. He was a very much needed doctor and though his work load started off small, it multiplied over the years until he was barely home at all with his wife and daughter. He became one of the best surgens in the world - just like his father - and he was always on demand. This, of course, resulted in him not being able to get close to his daughter like he wanted to. Just recently, his wife of many many years passed away. Robert had done everything in his power to help lessen Susan's chance of dying from cancer but there was nothing he could have done sadly. Now, with her gone, he had to put more focus on his teenage daughter and he knows that is going to be hard to make up for so many years that he lost with her wile he was doing this job.
Relationships: tba
Played by: Tom Cruise

Name: Sarah Keating
Age: Seventeen
How they feel: Sarah is convinced that nothing an help her. So she isn't exactly ecstatic to be at Walden.
Personality: There was a time when Sarah was an altruistic, charming, young woman with such ambition and enthusiasm for life. Change is inevitable, and with Adrienne, it came too early too fast. Her mother's premature death prompted that change. Amidst all the pain, she could only think of one question. Why? Her mother had been healthy for her entire childhood; why now; why when it was starting to get really interesting? All she could think about was how unfair it was. She feels angry with everyone and everything, completely abandoned by any higher power. Instead of seeking help or talking about her feelings of intense grief, Sarah isolated herself, abandoning the nearly perfect life she had worked so hard to build. The life she had built, however, was closely linked to her mother. Without her, Sarah has no life, no meaning. She's thought about taking the empty shell that was formerly a life. What would it matter? How could she go to hell, if there isn't even a heaven? Sarah lost faith in all religion, which was something her mother and her always found meaning in. Sarah has lost everything, and she believes there is no way she can get it back.
History: Sarah was truly her mother's daughter. She resembled Susan Keating in every possible way. Physically, she was almost a carbon copy, and they got along in almost every respect. Sarah and her mother did everything together. In place of a sister, her mother attempted to be a friend to Sarah, not simply a mother. Sarah had a good relationship with her father as well, but she simply didn't connect on the same level. She treated him with respect, loved him, participated in the typical 'father-daughter' bonding. Sarah and Susan had approached a time in their lives in which they engage in more mature activities and really learning about each other as adults. But her mother was weakening. Sarah could see it, but at her mother's request, she never discussed her mother's illness, no matter how much it pained her. Her mother was slowly dying of cancer, but her death didn't exactly become imminent until three months had come and gone. Chemotherapy was useless, and her mother wanted to spend what time she had left with Sarah, rather than in a hospital. When Susan died, Sarah felt completely lost. Her already weak bond with her father become virtually nonexistant as she detached herself from everyone that cared about her. Sarah knew that no one would be able to help her overcome her grief, so she preferred to be alone, rather than listen to or encourage people's useless attempts.

THE JONES-RAMIREZ FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: Mr. Jones and Mrs. Ramirez are about to marry, and their children (of previous relationships) are hard against it which is causing much friction.

(father) Sean Jones 50 - Impressions (PB: Denzel Washington)
(mother) Lupita Ramirez, 46 - ShiriS (PB: Elizabeth Peña)
(daughter) Joey Jones, 19 - Pixie Queen (PB: Bianca Lawson)
(daughter) Ella Ramirez, 19 - BroadwaysBuffy (PB: Jessica Alba)
(son) Richard "Ricky" Jones, 17 - MoonSwirl (PB: Percy Daggs III)

Taken by: Impressions
Name: Sean Jones
Age: 50
How they feel: He is trying to remain optimistic because, if the kids would just learn to be ok with their engagement, it would make everything so much easier. But he isn't sure what time at a camp will do differently than home.
Personality: Sean has a very intimidating persona about him. People tend to think that he is a very strong and dominating. Though he can be those things, he tends to be a very light hearted person. Sean is very charismatic and people are just drawn to his personality. He likes to tell jokes and tries not to linger about little things. Life is too short to spend most of it worrying all the time. Sean has never been a very fearful guy about anything. It is probably one of the reasons why he has done so well in life, he was never hindered by fear of failure, the future, the unknown, etc.
History: Sean's childhood was a tough one. He grew up in the bad neighborhoods where, basically, all of the odds are against you. You don't have the money to get to where you want to in life and there aren't a lot of people who will take the chance on a young black man living the projects. Not to mention the consistent temptation to take the easier road and fall into a life of drugs, gangs, and worse. So, the moment Sean of born he had to work twice as hard as anyone else just to get by. But get by he did, he did more than just get by. He managed to get himself out of the neighborhood. He met his, now, ex-wife when he was in college. He knew from the moment he met her that she was different, special. They were married after dating for a long time. That was when, as they say, they were to live happily ever after. And they did, at first. They bought a house in a good neighborhood and had a family. One thing that Sean knew for many years was that he would give his kids everything he didn't have. He didn't want his kids to have to go through half of what he had to. Being from a single parent home, just him and his mom, Sean made an extra effort to always be there for his kids for whatever they were going through. When he and his wife were having trouble, he tried to keep it from the kids but that was only possible for a short time. Sean always thought that they would eventually work it out. That it was just a bump in the long road ahead of them. But she didn't feel the same way, she decided to move out and divorce without really ever taking to Sean. But he will be forever grateful that his kids chose to stay with him and they haven't heard from their mother in some time. Though Sean never thought he would be a single parent he made the best of it. After a few trial and errors, they were able to function cohesively. When he met Ms. Ramirez, Sean knew his life would change. She was the most amazing woman he had ever met and he believed his kids would feel the same way. He was and is surprised at the resistence both sides' kids are having towards their relationship, but more so surprised at his kids' resistence. And he isn't really sure how to tackle the problem.

Taken by: ShiriS
Name: Lupita *Pita* Ramirez
Age: 46
How they feel: Luita just wishes for everyone to be happy. She knows she and Sean already happy, but she wishes the kid would accept their engagement. She's not sure if this camp will help or not, but it's worth a try.
Personality: Lupita has a very motherly nature about her. Even before she had her daughter she was like that. That's what you get being the oldest child. She's a very easy person to get along with. She's loveable and she's got the heart the size of a softball. She's always helping others out and putting them before herself. She's the last person she thinks of. Now, like most spanish people, she's got a bit of a temper problem. That only shows during fights though. Other than that, she's calm, cool and collected all the time. She has this smile and energy about her that lights up the room. Her laugh it contagous and she knows how to make down people happy. She loves making people happy. Because that's her. She's a generally happy person. You can't help but like her.
History: She was born Lupita Marinella Sanchez-Bello, eldest of the seven Sanchez-Bello children. She and her family lived in the barrios of Quito, Ecuador. They were poor but they were happy. When Lupita turned nineteen and she graduated highschool, she knew there was more for her outside of Ecuador. So, she packed up her things and she set off to America. On the plane, she met someone who annoyed her very much. Alejandro Ramirez knew just how to push her buttons. Ugh she just hated him. Of course, it had to be that he was going the same place she was. And wouldn't you know it, just like your typical love-hate relationship, they went and got married two years later. Those crazy kids were in love but they pickered just as much as they day they had met. And they even popped out a child somewhere in all that bickering in both spanish and english when Lupita was twenty-eight . Their daughter was the apple of Lupita's eye. When she started paying more attention to the little girl than she did Alejando, things got bad. He started cheating on her with american girls. That went on for three years before Lupita caught when of it. She left her husband of ten years and took their three year old daughter with her. They were on their own for sixteen years (the divorce papers finally went through in the sixth year) Lupita went through various boyfriends and what not, but none of them really made her feel the same way as she did with Alejandro (minus the constant bickering of course). None of them until she met one Sean Jones. She knew he was the one. She's completely in love with him and she wishes for her daughter to feel the same way. She also wishes for his children to accept her as their future mother. She's trying her hardest to get them to like her.
Relationships: tba
Played by: Elizabeth Peña

Taken by: Pixie Queen
Name: Josephine *Joey* Jones
Age: 19
How they feel: She hates it, she has nothing against her father but this woman he's dating has another thing coming if she thinks she can come in and make everything "Happy". She doesn't want to go to the camp.
Personality: Joey is very quiet, she won't tell you when something is up with her. She;s been like that since her mother left, no disrespect to her father but some things you just can't discuss with your father.. or just don't want to She has her loud moments but those are extremely rare and when they do happen she means business, and isn't afraid to say something but that doesn't stay for too long before she goes back into her shell.
History: Joey was born to a loving family. That much she knew, she was a happy kid, especially since most kids parents around her where far from perfect. She liked the fact hers seemed perfect, at least until she got wind of her parents problems, she was the first one to find out even though she knew her father wanted to not tell her. Disappointed she hasn't been the same since and has been closed off, if anything part of why she won't accept this new family is because she's not ready and doesn't want to.
Relationships: tba
Played by: Bianca Lawson

Taken by: Broadways Buffy
Name: Gisella *Ella* Ramirez
Age: 19
How they feel: She wants her mother to be happy, but she is hesitant to let another man into her life, a man that's going to be her stepfather. She enjoyed when it was just her and her mother. She also doesn't enjoy how she's treated in the Jones house.
Personality: Ella could be described as a bit of a spoiled, only child, but that's what she is. Her mother always doted on her, giving her everything that she desired, within reason. She was always appreciative of her mother, though. Ella is sweet, but she can have an attitude, especially with anyone who tries to mess with her family or friends. She is a very loyal person to those she loves and cares about. She is also a very passionate person. When she cares about something, she gives it her all. She tries to have a positive outlook on life, but situations like this can change that outlook. Because of her background, she can come off as having a bad temper and attitude, but that's only if you don't get to know her.
History: Ella barely remembers her father, she was only three years old when her mother left him. She has small, brief memories about her father, but she doesn't even know how accurate they are. She never asks her mother about him, knowing it's a hard memory. Ella became a bit of a rebellious child as she grew up, watching her mother date man after man. She didn't quite understand until her teens that none of these men were her father, and that her mother just wanted to move on and be happy. Then one day she sat down and had a talk with her mother, and things were mended between them. Through high school, she got straight As, participated in many activities including Dance Team and National Honor Society. Ella is a very bright girl, her dream is to be a dancer, but she's planning to go to college to be a lawyer, because she knows it would make her mother proud. When her mother began dating Sean Jones, Ella didn't have a problem with it. She liked Sean, he was very sweet to her mother, and to Ella. And then they moved in, and she met his kids, and her feelings about the situation changed completely. She knew that it was hard for them too, but they treated her and her mother like the enemy. Ella barely spends any time in the house now, not wanting to be around them. She wants the situation to work, but doubts that sticking them in a camp will do any good.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Richard "Ricky" Jones
Age: 17
How they feel?: He's absolutely against the marriage, and he's very open about it. He doesn't want to be at the camp.
Personality: Ricky is a generally pissed-off guy. He wasn't so much before, but lately it's become more. Pretty much everything gets on his nerves, and he has no problem telling people. When he isn't angry, he can actually be a nice enough guy. There are just a lot of things in his life that haven't been working for him lately, so he expects it'll keep happening, making him likely to react more than what something calls for, because it's always another burden on him. He can be very creative a lot of the time, and truth be told his anger fuels that. It could almost be considered a benefit if it wasn't for what's required of him for it to happen. He's very close to his family. And that's HIS family, not his dad's girlfriend and her daughter. He doesn't like them at all.
History: Ricky always liked to make stories. As a kid he would put on "shows" for his parents, really elaborate ones. He got his first novel started at age 11. That was around the time his parents started fighting. He finished it two years later, a few short days before his mom moved out. The children chose to stay with their father. Over the next few years, the Jones family settled into their new family dynamics, and Ricky was happy. Then his father started dating Mrs. Ramirez. Ricky didn't think too much of it - until the Ramirez girls moved in. That was a year ago, and it's still not sitting well with him. He continues to play tricks on them, hoping they'll finally go away, but it's not working. The news of the engagement only made things worse, to the point of Ricky thinking of either trying to find his mother (she moved and hasn't called in months) or getting emancipated. He liked the life he had, just his father and his sister. He doesn't want the Ramirez to come and ruin things for him again, the way they have for the past few years. Romance wise, he had a serious girlfriend for a while, but they broke up when she moved across the country. He hasn't gone out with anyone since then.

THE ANDERS-WHATLEY FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: Mr. Anders only recently found out he has a son. Ms. Whatley and her ex want to try to make things work for the sake of their son.

(father) Jack Anders, 39 - *Sarahrooie* (PB: Olivier Martinez)
(mother) Olivia Whatley, 38 - Broadways Buffy (PB: Teri Hatcher)
(son) Brian Whatley, 13 - Impressions (PB: Logan Lerman)

Taken by: *Sarahrooie*
Name: Jack Anders
Age: Thirty-nine
How they feel: Jack is still in shock, mainly because he believes that there would be no worse candidate for a father. And yet, he still feels like there should be some connection between him and his son.
Personality: Jack is the sort of man who seems to have forgotten that he’s a thirty-nine year old man. He’s the obvious mid-life crisis man; he surrounds himself with women half his age, drives a fast car, owns a bachelor pad and seems to do his best to avoid all responsibility. He somehow manages to be employed in his highflying job, which throws him about the world and most importantly, he doesn’t seem to care. He is a man built entirely of shrugs and apathy. It would appear to anyone looking at Jack’s life from the outside that he just doesn’t care. This isn’t really true; instead he just attempts not to care, because that looks far cooler than doing his best to cater to every whim of the people around him. Because Jack’s trying his hardest to keep up the kids, he wants to still look cool. Which means a lot of work, and not that much apathy.
History: Jack Anders was born Jacques Anders, his mother was French, his father American. Both considered themselves to be intellectuals and so Jack was raised in some sort of bohemian fantasy, where rules were frowned upon and discipline was considered stifling to a child’s development. Which is why his parents were quite confused when their son grew up into the sort of person they were supposed to hate, and even when out of his way to change his name to its English spelling. Although their upbringing probably helped Jack to turn into the man he became. Because there’s has always been little need for such things as rules in Jacks’ world, which is why he appears to have an awful lot of notches on his bedposts and an awful track record when it comes to relationships. In thirty-nine years he’s never had a relationship that lasted longer than five months, but somehow never really considered that he would become a father, which is why his current situation is rather confusing.

Played by: Olivier Martinez

Taken by: Broadways Buffy
Name: Olivia Whatley
Age: 38
How they feel: Olivia is confused about the whole situation. She wants Brian to get to know his father, because she thinks he deserves a chance at getting to know him. She doesn't really understand the hesitance from both sides, but hopes that they can work things out.
Personality: Olivia has always been an independent woman. When she found out that she was pregnant with Brian, she didn't worry about being a single mother. Even though she is strong and independent, she is the kind of woman that can be walked on easily. She usually lets people in without thinking, and that's what happened with Jack. They didn't even have a relationship, it was just a fling, she let him charm her into bed, and she ended up with a son. She loves her son to death, and has always been there for him his entire life. She wanted to give him enough love and care that he didn't realize he didn't have a father. Saying that, I guess you can say she is a bit naive about some things. Olivia constantly feels that her son is smarter than her..in fact, she knows he is. Sometimes he is more of a grownup in the family than she is, but she's working on that.
History: Olivia Whatley was born to Clarissa and George Whatley in Oakland, California. She had a normal upbringing, her parents were very loving, they were well-off finanically, and she was their only daughter. When she was a teenager, her mother developed breast cancer. Her mother was a fighter, but the cancer was too far along, and even with chemo and aggressive radiation, the cancer won. After that, Olivia and her father moved to San Fransisco. Olivia graduated high school at the top of her class, and went to college for accounting. Years after she graduated college, her father died, and Olivia was left on her own. She stayed in her father's home, and that is where she still lives. She found a good job, and was content with her life. Then one night, she met Jack. He was handsome and charming, and Olivia was lonely. He wasn't the type of guy to settle down, so after their steamy affair, Olivia found out she was pregnant. And she felt it was the best thing that ever happened to her. She had always wanted to be a mother, and she feels that she is a good mother. She knows she is not perfect, but everyday she looks at Brian and knows she must have done something good. Now, after all this time, she hopes that some kind of bond can form between her son and his father.
Relationships: TBA
Played by: Teri Hatcher

Taken by: Impressions
Name: Brian Whatley
Age: 13
How they feel: He doesn't want to be at this camp. He doesn't understand why all of a sudden he needs to get to know his biological father. He has spent the last thirteen years without knowing him and he has done just fine. He thinks that the real reason his mother set out to find his father isn't really for him, but for herself. A final attempt at creating her idea of a 'perfect' family and using him as an excuse to do so.
Personality: Brian is a very intellectual kid. A little too much for his own good sometimes. There are times where he gets a little too over-confident in himself. But he usually calls himself on it and then brings it back. As Brian has grown into his teenage years, he has become more and more outspoken about everything. He likes to voice his opinion and he tends to be too honest sometimes. One trait that possibly every teenager develops is sarcasm. And Brian certainly has a lot of it to dish out.
History: Brian grew up without ever knowing his father. And because you don't really miss what you never had, he was fine with it. He just figured it was the norm, that other families are like his. When he started school, he was hit with a reality check. That all families aren't like his. But he still didn't think twice about it. The one instance where Brian had wished he had a father was when the community was holding a special father/son event where fathers and sons can spend the day together doing different things. Other than that, he was content with his life and lifestyle. Brian doesn't just think he is very smart, he in reality really is. Growing up he was always doing better than everyone in his age group. He even skipped a few grades in the process. There was a point where it seemed to consume him. He was involved in many academic competitions and other things of that sort. It wasn't until just recently that he decided that he didn't want to do that anymore. Brian decided that, as his time is high school is half finished, he would spend at least a year where he didn't have every waking minute of his day occupied. A year where he didn't have to be a million places at once. Shortly after was when his mother told him about his father and how she found him. Brian isn't sure why she suddenly chose to do so. It had been thirteen years and out of the blue she makes this decision. But he isn't even trying to analyze her motives. All he knows is that he doesn't want to be at this camp, especially since it is cutting into his 'year of freedom' plans.

THE TYLER FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: After the suicide of son Matthew (23), Mr. and Mrs. Tyler and their daughter need to deal with their personal feelings and their familial ones as well.

(father) Daniel Tyler, 45 - Dimaranwen (PB: Viggo Mortensen)
(mother) Meghan Tyler, 43 - MoonSwirl (PB: Kelly Preston)
(daughter) Kris Tyler, 18 - *Sarahrooie* (PB: Skye Sweetnam)

Taken by: Dimaranwen
Name: Daniel Tyler
Age: 45
How they feel: Daniel watched his wife slowly slip into an almost catatonic state, and his daughter is closed-off. Daniel finally realized that he couldn't fix his family on his own, and this is a big step for him, admitting that he needs help.
Personality: A mean-spirited individual during his 'golden years,' Daniel was definitely his father's son. He was well on his way to being an aggressive maniac, careless of everyone's feelings but his own. When he met Meghan, he slowly changed for the better. Daniel's cold heart was thawed, and he became a very caring person. However, old habits die hard. Daniel can still be aggressive, and he has a short fuse, which isn't the most stable combination. He's extremely protective of his family and their privacy, and following Matthew's suicide, Daniel lashed out at his neighbors and friends, striking the paparazzi if they came to snoop around. He has a hard time controlling his temper. He sees Matthew's suicide as a failure on his part as his father, and he's become increasingly paranoid, thinking everyone must be wondering what was wrong, what happened behind closed doors. Daniel has become more preoccupied with status and appearances, and the Tyler family has fallen from grace. They aren't perfect anymore, and Daniel can't stand it.
History: No one knew how to survive under pressure better than Daniel Tyler. His father, Patrick Tyler, expected Daniel to succeed at everything, especially football. Failure wasn't an option. An injury had ruined Patrick's own career as a football player, and although he moved on, he didn't fully relinquish his dream. He lived vicariously through his son, who struggled to please his father, no matter what. There was no buffer to dampen Patrick's obsession, since Daniel's mother, Kaitlyn Freeman, left Patrick a year after Daniel was born. Patrick and Kaitlyn were high school sweethearts, doomed to fail because of Patrick's aggressive, stubborn nature and Kaitlyn's flighty personality. Daniel barely remembers his mother, but Patrick filled in the blanks, blemishing his mother's name, which was never very good to began with. Daniel bore ill-will to all women for most of his adolescence, treating the doting girlfriends like trash. Until he met Meghan. She attracted his attention because she didn't swoon over him like the other dim-witted girls. She refused to date him, however, until the summer after they graduated. Daniel changed because of Meghan. He became a better man for her. Patrick was thoroughly displeased with the change in his son, for he saw Daniel slowly giving up football. Daniel never loved the sport, but he accepted a scholarship to play in college, interested in an education. Daniel earned a business degree, and he is in charge of his own department. Daniel left his father completely behind when he married Meghan, and they bought a house far away from their old town, leaving everything behind. Daniel had his own family. They soon had a son and a daughter, Matthew and Kristina. They were the perfect nuclear family, until Matthew committed suicide. Daniel still can't accept what happened. He had always been close to his son, although Matthew going away to college put a strain on their relationship. He can't understand, and he's not sure if he ever will.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Meghan Tyler
Age: 43
How they feel?: She's so numb these days, she just goes with the flow most of the time, so she doesn't have any real feelings about being at the camp.
Personality: Before Matty's death, Meghan was a real social butterfly. She was that wife, that mother, who was in control of her surroundings to a large degree. She had the advice everyone needed, the will to help them. That's all she always wanted to do - to help. But after Matty was gone, Meghan became a whole different person. She's closed down emotionally, doesn't know too well how to react to anything. Her protectiveness has gone through the roof though. Anything mildly risky and she'll suddenly be awake, concern through the roof. Especially with her husband and her daughter. Most of the time though, she's just numb. She often has to be fed, changed, among other things. She has developed major insomnia, sometimes falling asleep only from total and utter exhaustion. Still she is too numb to cry sometimes.
History: Meghan grew up the daughter of two actors, Christopher Watts and Mia Salvatore. Her childhood has been documented through several pictures of her and her parents in magazines. It never bothered her too much, actually found it kind of exciting. She loved going to the movie sets. As she grew, she didn't have any desire to act, but she loved the aspect of clothes. She became a designer, and her creations have been worn in countless films. But another great desire in her life was a family. She met her future husband when they were in high school. They married and were soon blessed with a son and a daughter. Meghan's life was perfect to her, and she thought everyone was happy. That all changed when her son Matthew killed himself. She came home one day, unaware, but she knew something was wrong when she saw the police and the reporters. She was told that Matty, her baby boy, had hung himself in his dorm room, found by his roommate. After that, nothing was ever the same. The magazine pictures that were once amusing to her became sickening as she saw cover story after cover story about the suicide. All the stories twisted their lives, hurting her and her whole family. It's been three months and they still talk about it, fueled by her refusal to leave the house most of the time.

Name: Kristina ‘Kris’ Tyler
Age: Eighteen
How they feel: Kris doesn't want to be here. The camp is the ultimate authority figure, and she'll do her very best to get out of this place. Nor does she believe that anyone else can help her through her grief.
Personality: Prior to Matthew's suicide, Kris Tyler had managed to gain herself the tag of 'trouble-maker.' But somehow she always seemed to been seen as nothing more than a slight annoyance. Her rebellion was nothing more than a teenage from a privilaged background attempting to divorce herself from the comfy ideals of her parents and while it may have lead to a few arguments between Kris and her mother, these always seemed to have been solved by the next morning. But after Matthew’s suicide all that changed. Kris was no longer just refusing to give in her homework, she now rarely attended school. And the rest of the clichés soon followed, Kris was rarely at home, and whenever she was there she seemed unable to do anything but scream at her parents. When Matthew died so did a little bit of Kristina, and so it now seems like the Tylers lost two children, and not just one.
History: The Tylers had the perfect life, and Kris had never really been aware of anything less than perfect And while she may have made the odd snide comment about her parents’ life, she knew herself that she would be unable to cope with anything else. And while she may have aggravated her parents quite frequently, as a family they always seemed close enough. And no more so than Matthew and Kris. Yes, the two fought from time to times, but they were siblings so it was impossible for them not to do so. But on the whole the two were almost as close as they could be, Matthew was Kris’s mentor. And while she may have been more rebellious than her brother would ever dream of being, the two of them were painfully close. So she has taken his death terribly.

THE DEVLIN FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: Mr. and Mrs. Devlin are on the brink of a divorce. Their sons are attempting to remedy to that. The camp was their idea.

(father) Ethan Devlin, 41 - Broadways Buffy (PB: Clive Owen)
(mother) Veronica Morrington-Devlin, 41 - Impressions (PB: Sandra Bullock)
(son) Mars Devlin, 17 - Pixie Queen (PB: Mark Rendall)
(son) Michael Devlin, 14 - *Sarahrooie* (PB: Carter Jenkins)

Taken by: Broadways Buffy
Name: Ethan Devlin
Age: 41
How they feel: Ethan loves his wife and children, but doesn't know if this will do any good in saving their marriage. He can't handle always being the 'bad guy' in family situations, and having his wife compete with him in being the kids' favorite.
Personality: Ethan can be an abrasive person. He can also be a very kind person. It just depends on if you get on his bad or good side. He always tries to keep his temper under control, but sometimes it can get out of hand. His wife never disciplines the children, maybe because she wants to stay on their good side, but Ethan knows that sometimes there has to be boundaries. Ethan also has a problem expressing his feelings. He isn't very emotional, at least on the outside. His history is to blame for his coldness, but he can't really help it. Maybe one problem is he has trouble showing emotion toward his wife and kids. He can tell them he loves them, but do they actually believe he does? Deep down inside he truly loves them, but doesn't really know how to express it.
History: Ethan was born and raised in England. His father was involved in organized crime, and not having a mother, Ethan was exposed to that growing up. He saw countless women leaving his father's bedroom night after night. He saw his father murder people. Ethan did not love his father, he almost hated him. On bad nights, his father would get drunk and take his anger out on his son. The beatings continued throughout his teenage years, until Ethan was old enough to escape from his father's wrath. He got a scholarship to the US for college, and got word a few years later of his father's death, and he didn't give it a second thought. He was actually relieved that that part of his life was officialy over. After he graduated, he started a business with a friend in New York City. That's where he met Veronica. He was a bit of a ladies' man, using and discarding woman as he pleased, but Veronica was different. One thing that intrigued him about her, is that at first, she turned him down. That caught his interest, so he continued to pursue her until she agreed. Not long after, they were married. It started out great, they had two children, and then things started to change. Their relationship just wasn't the same.
Relationships: TBA
Played by: Clive Owen

Taken by: Impressions
Name: Veronica Morrington-Devlin
Age: 41
How they feel: She doesn't believe that this camp will really help with the rift that has formed between her and her husband but she is here for her children. She owes them enough to at least try.
Personality: Veronica has always felt the need to prove herself. She always wanted to show people that there isn't anything she can't do. "Anything you can do I can do better." She did get a little too competitive sometimes, she still does. There is nothing better than a good competition. Veronica isn't a confrontational person at heart but when she is challenged and she gets involved in one, she has to be right. One of her worst qualities, always having to be right. And she is stubborn, but only with certain things. Veronica likes to make jokes when she is uncomfortable because it always help lighten the moods of the people around her. Veronica doesn't really get emotional in front of people. She keeps up a facade of strength and then, when she is alone, she breaks down.
History: Her mother was a very primp and proper woman. Ironic that, growing up, Veronica wasn't like that at all. She was a tomboy. Something her mother never approved of and she let her know it. Her father was her confidant. She went to him for everything and anything. When Veronica graduated from high school she didn't go straight to college. She went to Australia, there she worked as a paid-intern for an advertising company. It was the single greatest experience of her life. She excelled at what she did also. She went from a simple intern to getting an actual position on the staff and she just continued to rise. She had planned to only stay there a year but that year turned into two, then three. It was in her fourth year in Australia that she chose to return home. But when she came back she was a completely different person. She moved to New York and got a job for an advertising company in the city. Even without going to college she was able to get a job easily, because she had the experience, as well as making a name for herself while in Australia. It was during her stay in the city that she met her current husband. She thought he was nothing but a player. That he was simply after her for one thing. She continued to turn him down but he persisted. It was then that she believed that he was now in it just for the thrill of the chase. The need to have something that you can't. She can't really say what made her accept his offer on that winter day in New York City. She did know that it was one of the best decisions of her life. Because, like it wasn't obvious, their relationship was more than just a fling. They married one another and started a family together. Veronica isn't really sure what caused her marriage to go south. It may be the fact that she still longs for her corporate life that she had when she was younger and that he wants to pursue other things in his life as well. She doesn't know for sure. But it has gotten to the point where Veronica has all but given hope for their marriage. She never believed that she would be divorced, but it seems inevitable.

Taken by: Pixie Queen
Name: Marshall *Mars* Devlin
Age: 17
How they feel: His parents brought him there , more than likely because he wants to help them, he believes not all is lost in their marriage and that something can be saved.Plus he just wants them to be happy regardless of the fact that on the outside people think his family is the picture of perfection.. he knows it's far from it.
Personality: Mars is a kid, for the most part anyway. He tries to act like the adult in matters and sometimes that can cause him to get into some .. actually alot of trouble. He is very stubborn when he gets an idea in his head he sticks to it like his mother, he's also a bit unruly, hence the dyed red hair, he also has a tatoo no one knows of but he kneeps that to himself, he often takes or tries to take on the role of adult more often than he knows the rest of his family does, if anything he knows his mother breaks down. He tries to keep it together for all four of them but sometimes he lets go of it all and decides to be wild, which also equals up to major trouble.
History: Mars has always been a good kid ever since he was born he heard Veronica, his mom praise him for that, regardless of if he never hears his father, he thinks all his father does is count his mishaps and deliver out the punishments. He acts out because of that , some have figured it out for the most part but those that don't think he let's out incredibly loose whenever he feels like. He's a good actor, because he can go from acting responsible to acting like a teenage wild child (maybe that the reason for the grunge clothes and the hair) He's also very self less but has reserved and stubborn moments of the bunch which come and go. He also has a tendancy of lying, he's very decietful in what he does, and he knows he gets away with it, but maybe what hit him worse was the fact that his parents were heading for a divorce. The camp wasn't his idea, but everyone percieves him as part of the perfect family, maybe he just wants that back, even if it cost him a few things to get to it. He hopes the camp works, even at the unassurance of his parents optimistim on the matter, he just wants his family back.

Played by: Mark Rendall

Name: Michael Devlin
Age: Fourteen
How they feel: Michael has already decided that this will be the miracle that his family has been searching for, and that whatever happens, when this is over there will be no more talk of divorce.
Personality: Michael has always been the ‘good boy’. He is the sort of boy who will go out of his way to make sure that people remain happy, and that the status quo remains. Most people find Michael confusing, he is willing to act to help people but seems to care little for himself. In reality this isn’t exactly true, as Michael enjoys seeing other people’s happiness, and knowing that he’s done something well often means that he feels better. There are certain people who can be unnerved by Michael, mainly because he tends to stay quiet and listen a lot, meaning that he finds it very easy to pick up certain things about people, noticing changes in their personality, or picking up on tiny pieces of information.
History: Unlike Marshall, who has let the world know that he favours his mother to his father, Michael has no problem with his father; mainly because in order for them to continue to be the ‘normal’ family, Michael’s father needs to remain in the picture. Michael is perspective enough to realise that his parents’ marriage has never been perfect, but he’s always been very skilled at covering up the cracks; lying to those another him and himself that his parents are still as in love with each other as they were in the beginning and that their marriage was as stable as it always was. Michael pride himself on his background, his nice family and isn’t willing to let go of any of it, physically or mentally.

THE O'RILEY-JAMES FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: Mrs. O'Riley and Mrs. James have just come out to their children. Before they can all move in together, they need some help dealing.

(mother) Liz James, 45 - *Sarahrooie* (PB: Emma Thompson)
(mother) Jenny O'Riley, 37 - MoonSwirl (PB: Jeri Ryan)
(daughter) Keely James, 19 - ShiriS (PB: Shiri Appleby)
(son) Colton O'Riley, 17 - BroadwaysBuffy (PB: Kevin Zegers)

Taken by: *Sarahrooie*
Name: Elizabeth 'Liz' James
Age: Forty-five
How they feel: Liz actually feels highly embarrassed that she is in this situation. Maybe because she kept her lover secret for such a long time, or maybe because her daughter has not automatically accepted her lifestyle.
Personality: Liz is the sort of woman that walks into a room and somehow manages to light it up. An eternal optimist Liz’s skills lie in allowing anyone to see the good in any situation. Including the situation that she has found herself in now. Because it could be worse, she could still be living a lie and be married to her husband. Of course it is possible that people might find these traits annoying, not everyone wants to be told that life gets better, nor do they wish to hear Liz’s chattering. And unfortunately Liz isn’t any good at censoring herself. If someone doesn’t like her, well then they’re jut going to have to put up with her, Liz changes for no one.
History: Elizabeth James knew that she would never have what others considered a normal life. Her upbringing was incredibly dull by anyone’s standard, raised by a mother and a father who expected her to go out into the real world and marry herself off. Which is exactly what Liz did. Eric James was apparently the perfect man, tall, dark, handsome, and yet Liz found that she wasn’t attracted to him at all. Mainly because Eric James was a man. Because by this time Liz had been made aware of the fact that she preferred to company of the same sex. But because of the way she was bought up she fought these urges and married her perfect husband, and had her perfect child. Unfortunately it was clear to see that their relationship was terribly flawed, quite possibly because Liz didn’t find her own husband attractive. After ten years of painful marriage the two divorced. But still Liz didn’t feel in the position to ‘out’ herself. At least not to any of the members of her family. Because to her own surprise Liz now felt in the position to date other women, hence the existence of Jenny. Liz and Jenny never really planned to have a relationship, but now are so in love that they both feel like they have to tell their children.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Jennifer "Jenny" O'Riley
Age: 37
How they feel?: She really wants things to be okay between all of them, especially with her son.
Personality: Jenny is a woman of conviction. When she wants something, she'll do everything in her power to make it work. She hasn't always been that way. As a child she was very much introverted, didn't have any friends. When she finally got a friend, she started opening up to the world around her. She became more and more assertive. She is very kind and loving, but she doesn't tolerate someone resting in their pity party. Whining just rubs her the wrong way. She believes in the strength that exists in every human being. She's very supportive, maybe a little too much sometimes. It's gotten her in trouble more than once. In her mind though she's doing the right thing, so if she gets in trouble then so be it. She is proud of her conviction in life, so whatever needs to happen will happen. She believes in fate and destiny. Not to the point of surrendering her choices to it completely, but she likes to believe she can be led to things in her life by whoever decides. It's hardly ever led her in the wrong path, so she listens to it.
History: Jenny was raised by her grandparents. Her mother and father were both teenagers. Her father never acknowledged her, while her mother left town shortly after the birth. It used to bother her, but she's made peace with it now. Her life with her grandparents was a very peaceful one. She never wanted to disappoint them, so she behaved very well. She did her homework and her chores and she always kept them informed of her life. Her childhood was a time where she really needed them, having no real friends outside of their home. Finally when she was twelve, she made a friend, Ginger. Ginger showed her a livelier side of life, and Jenny really enjoyed it. She grew into herself within a few short years. She met her husband and, though they were happy and she loved him very much, something always felt wrong. She had no idea what was going on and just ignored it. They had a son, and Jenny really settled into her role as a mother. As a wife though she was struggling. By the time her son was nine, Jenny and her husband had split up. They still liked each other, but the love was just gone. They share custody of their son, though Jenny has him more often. The two of them are very close, which made the realization she wanted to date women somewhat frightening to Jenny. She was scared of what her son might think of her. She knew it'd likely blow up in her face but she started to go out with [Mrs. James] in secret. She herself had a daughter who didn't know about her. But as their relationship became more intense, they realized they would have to tell their children - they wanted to live together, two families as one. Needless to say it didn't go too smoothly. Jenny is scared of losing the two people she loves the most in the world - her son and [Mrs. James]. Her son would always be first, bu she knows she couldn't bear losing her girlfriend.

Name: Keely James
Age: 19
How they feel: She hates hates hates it. She knows her mom is happy, but she just can't accept that she is happy with another woman. Not yet. It'll take her a while. She thinks this camp thing is pointless. It won't help. She wants to deal with it one her own. She doesn't want some stupid counsler person trying to help her. She doesn't need tips or anything like that. She's a little too indepent for her own good.
Personality: Keely has got a pleasent personality all the time and she's never loud. She's always a calm kind of girl. She takes things as they come. She's kind of a perfectionest. And an OCD one at that. Everything has to be in it's exact spot and everything has to be perfect, or else she'll freak out and go crazy. Her perfectionistic ways is probably by she doesn't like change. Ugh she dreeds change. She wishes that everything stay the same all the time. She knows she'll never get her wish but she tries her hardest to make it happen. She tries her best to keep everything the same. She has certain routines she sticks to and all that. Her life is perfectly planned out. She was thrown threw a loop when her parents divored and her mother came out of the closet. That was far too much change in her life. She didn't like it. She didn't quite know how to deal with it. She kind of shut her mouther out when she found out. Even thuogh she should be accepting her mom for her life choice, she can't do that right now. She doesn't want to deal with it even though she knows she has to.
History: Keely had that ideal life. Her parents were perfect. Her life was really perfect. That is, until her parents got a divorce. Then her perfect world came crashing down on her and she didn't like it. She sort of shut down when he parents split. They got joint custody of her. She just loves being shared. Really. Being at one house half the week and then one house the other. Oh yeah, it's really fun! That's complete and total scarcm right there. She hated going from house to house each week. Thankfully, now that she's over 18, she can stay where she wants how ever long she wants. Unfornatly for her, her father moved to another state so now it's hard to seem him so much. Which really sucks because with her mother just coming out of closet just recently, she would really love to have somewhere to say where she didn't have to deal with her mother lesbianism. She's been avoiding anything and everything having to do with the situation, which she'd been doing by starying away from home as much as possible. Her friends have been really nice in letting her sleep on their couches.

Name: Colton O'Riley
Age: 17
How they feel: Colton is confused about the whole situation. He really can't fathom the fact that his mother wants to be with another woman.
Personality: Colton has always been wise beyond his years. Growing up, he was never really affected by the riff between his parents. He knew that they both loved him, and they never really fought, they just grew apart. He gets to see his dad, and spend time with his mom, so he is happy. Colton is practically the perfect son. He doesn't get into trouble, he gets good grades, and is actually at the top of his class. He has dreams of becoming a doctor someday. One thing that people always notice about Colton, is how much he thinks of others. He is more likely to think of someone else before himself. Especially with his parents. One reason he took the divorce so easy is because he didn't want to hurt his parents.
History: Colton has had a wonderful upbringing with two loving parents. He loves his mom and dad, and he is never embarassed to spend time with them. Throughout school, he has had many friends, he plays sports, he's just an all around good kid. When he found out the truth about his mother, it kind of threw his perfect world askew. He knew and accepted that there were people out there who decided that they would rather spend their lives with people of the same sex, but he never imagined it would be his mom. Concerned for her feelings, he didn't freak when she told him, he's just been sort of detatched from the whole situation. He doesn't know what to think about it yet, especially since they want to move in together. It just seems like an alternate reality.

THE BRYANT FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: After her daughter announced she was pregnant and wanted to raise the baby with her boyfriend, Mrs. Bryant decided they all needed to go and try to figure things out.

(mother) Natalie Bryant, 39 - Pixie Queen (PB: Catherine Zeta-Jones)
(Daughter) Sam Bryant, 16 - Impressions (PB: Eileen Boylan)
(boyfriend) Kyle Brickell, 18 - MoonSwirl (PB: Chris Pratt)

Taken by: Pixie Queen
Name: Natalie Bryant
Age: 39
How they feel: Natalie does not like it, she accepts it and knows that it's there but still hates the idea of it nonetheless and is not looking forward to the camp, she's very opinionated and knows she doesn't like it mostly because of how Sam's life could become hers and she thinks Samantha deserves much better than her, infact she knows she does and she doesn't want to see her life wasted by this turn of events.
Personality: Natalie is very self aware, she's also very blunt and straightforward, if she doesn't like something she'll tell you, no questions about it. She's also very stern but has her moments of light heartness although she doesn't see them in this situation because of how similar it looks to her own life, and quite honestly.. that in it's self to her is very scary.
History: Natalie Bryant has always been a straight arrow, for the most part anyway, good family, friends and had a good head on her shoulders until her last year of high school when she fell hard for a football player named Marc Sands, she and Marc were completely gaga over one another until one day Natalie discovered she was pregnant. In short, her family disowned her, and Marc well.. he wanted nothing to do with her, obviously. That was when she was 18, so she got an abortion, the same thing happened to her in college dispite saying to herself that it was never going to happen again she was 22 then and 23 when she finally gave birth to Samantha. Now, she still has never been married, and occasionally dates, but some things she's willing to never tell Samantha although in this case she may have to.

How they feel: She doesn't know what to except and that makes her feel even more uneasy.
Personality: Samantha's personality depends on the situation and who she is with. Most of the time she is very mellow and soft-spoken. She is the girl that is nice to everyone no matter how they treat her. You could say she feels the need to please everyone else except herself. Though she hates to admit it, she does care what other people think and say about her. When it comes to school, she is very focused and knows what she wants to accomplish. Many of her peers really dislike going to school but she has always somewhat enjoyed it. Sam likes it when she is praised for her work and what she does. It makes her feel better about herself. Though it may be hard for some to believe she is insecure, but then again what girl isn't in one way or another? Sam is the type that likes to have everything planned out. Ironic really, she definitely didn't plan on becoming pregnant.
History: For as long as Sam can remember it has always been her mom and her against the world. Her mom was someone that she trusted with everything. Her father left her mother before Sam was born, she never knew him. It was when Sam started high school that her relationship with her mother kind of dwindled. She wasn't able to tell her mother what she used to. It was difficult for Sam as well as her mother. As a result, her mother got more controlling of Sam because she never knew what Sam was doing. This just brought an even further rift between them. Growing up Sam always knew where she was headed in life. Her career would go before family. College was something that was always in the cards. She never planned to have a boyfriend. She actually had told herself that while she was in high school, she wouldn't date. Then Kyle came along and changed everything. He was like someone that you read about in fairytales. She found comfort when she was with him. Something she hasn't felt for some time. When she found out she was pregnant she couldn't believe it. It wasn't apart of her plans. She was going to go to college...have a career, before she started a family. Even so, she decided she would keep it and raise the baby with Kyle. But, the more time progresses she continues to think about the consequences of her decision and questioning when she should change them before it is too late.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Kyle Brickell
Age: 18
How they feel?: He's partly freaked, partly joyful about becomig a dad, but he knows the important part was that Mrs. Bryant and her daughter had a good time.
Personality: Kyle has two personas. First there's School-Kyle. At school, he's a football star and everyone knows him... in theory. They know him as a confident, over-the-top, energetic kind of guy. He's the guy who gets all the girls. The teachers love him, and they let things slide because he needs to 'focus on the game'. That's school. Then there's Home-Kyle. At home, he's a 'hero' of a different type. His mother walked out on the family two years ago. His father has to work a lot of the time, so Kyle takes care of his little sisters, Anna, Laurie, Kate, and Brit. He cooks for them, gives baths to the younger ones, makes braids in the morning, helps with homework, reads bedtime stories. He's basically raising them. He loves doing it though. He's attentive, caring, sometimes has to be the 'clown' to cheer them up. The balance between his two selves is okay to him. He doesn't mind what the school believes, as long as it's not anything his sisters shouldn't be told. If it got too far, he'd make sure it wouldn't end up hurting them.
History: Kyle's story isn't too eventful really. He was born in a small town by a big city. He was the firstborn of the Brickell children, the only son, as the birth was followed by that of four girls. They were a happy family, or at least that's what he thought. Two years ago, his mom left. It was so out of the blue, it caught them all by surprise. From what they later heard, he found out she'd run off with none other than 'Uncle Tom'. He was Kyle's father's friend, but they considered him as one of the family. At least they used to. Now he's That Guy Who Ruined The Family. After that, Kyle's father didn't know what to do, so he did the only thing that didn't remind him of his wife - he worked. Too wrapped up in his job, it became Kyle's job to care for his sisters. He doesn't mind except for the part where it means they've basically lost both their parents. But then there's his girlfriend. They started dating shortly after Kyle's mom left. He absolutely loves her, and he treats her really good. Maybe some part of him is scared someone 'Uncle Tom'-like will come and steal her away if he doesn't. Upon hearing she was pregnant... Kyle fainted. Once he woke up though, he was happy. The only issue is his girlfriend's mom, who's not dealing too good. But then there's the issue of where they'll live - if he moves in with her, he's leaving his sisters. If she moves in with him, she's leaving her mom. If they move to a new place, it's both. He didn't like leaving his sisters to come to camp, but a solution has to be found, so...

THE JACOBS FAMILY
REASON FOR THEIR STAY: Mr. Jacobs is dying. His wife having died years before, once he's gone, the care of his younger children will be handed to his oldest son. They've come to find peace with the coming situation.

(father) Malcolm Jacobs, 50 - Impressions (PB: Liam Neeson)
(son) Bailan Jacobs, 24 - Broadways Buffy (PB: Dominic Monaghan)
(son) Dustin Jacobs, 17 - ShiriS (PB: Mike Lobel)
(daughter) Saralyn Jacobs, 12 - MoonSwirl (PB: Hannah Pilkes)

Taken by: Impressions
Name: Malcolm Jacobs
Age: 50
How they feel: He is here with his kids to try to make what is set for them easier. Though inside, he is torn up at the thought of them having to be without both parents, he doesn't show it because he is and will be his children's rock.
Personality: Malcolm never really was good at expressions his emotions openly. He always placed other peoples burdens upon himself and, because of that, he believed that he always had to be strong. That to give in to his emotions would be a sign of weakness. With other people depending on him, he couldn't have that happen. As a dad, he isn't exactly 'with the times.' He has never been able to handle the many changes in society. And technology, he has giving up even trying to figure it out. Malcolm has always been very good at reading people's emotions. And he has the ability to make almost anything seem better. He just hopes he can do that for his children before he is gone.
History: Malcolm's life was always uneventful when he was growing up. He never did anything dangerous or crazy. He never broke the rules. He can't really tell you why. Maybe because he never felt the need to or maybe it is for some other reason. Either way, that was his life. Sure, some could call it boring. But he was always content where he was. That is until he met Sarah. He never knew what he was missing in life until he met her. She was almost the complete opposite of him. She was the free spirit that dreamed of seeing the world. But he loved her, and she loved him. She got him to do things that he never knew he wanted to do. They traveled the world together. On the last day of the trek across the world, they were in Rome. It was in Rome that he had proposed to her. A few years later they were happy and starting their family. Everything was almost too perfect. He remembers the day that he was told that his wife had died in a car crash. It is something that he will always live with. A person doesn't just simply forget the day they are told that the love of their life is no longer alive. Malcolm didn't get the chance to grieve for his wife. It was Malcolm's belief that he had to remain strong for his kids. And with his youngest daughter in a coma, they needed someone to be strong. He helped the family through their time of grief. Years later, it seemed that they were finally getting back to a somewhat normal life. Then Malcolm heard about his terminal illness. He didn't know what to do. Not for himself but for his children. He actually kept it from them for some time while he was going through treatment. But when he was told that it made no effect, that he would eventually lose the battle, he knew that he had to tell them the truth. He hopes that going to this camp will help the family during this process. Malcolm has all the faith in the world that his family will endure his passing. And he knows that his eldest son is more than capable of looking after his brother and sister, though willing may be a different story.

Taken by: Broadways Buffy
Name: Bailan Jacobs
Age: 24
How they feel: Bailan is torn up inside at the thought of losing his father too. He is trying to be strong, for his siblings, and to make his father proud. He is also scared that he will mess up being responsible for his brother and sister.
Personality: Bailan, being the oldest of the Jacobs family, has always been a big brother to his younger siblings. He loves his family very much, and really never fought with either of his siblings. He helps them with their homework, and before the accident, he would help Saralyn with her sports. When his mom died, he felt an even greater responsibility to help his father look after the two youngest children. Bailan has always put his family before anything else. He was going to go away to school before his mother died, but put that on hold immediately after the accident. He didn't go to college, and now with his father's illness, he is working a full-time job to support the family.
History: Bailan was closest with his mother, he loves them both the same, but him and his mother always had a special bond. He was her first child, the first baby she held in her arms and sang to sleep with that sweet voice of hers. When she died, Bailan closed himself off from the world. When he realized that how he was acting wasn't helping his family deal with the grief, he snapped out of it. The day his father sat down and told him that he was dying, and that the family responsibility was left to him, he wanted to scream, he wanted to cry, he wanted to demand to know why he was losing both of his parents. He's only 24 years old! He's supposed to have a future, he's supposed to be there when his parents get too old to take care of themselves, and now he will never see that day. His father will never see him get married, start a life of his own, and that kills him. He would never show his grief in front of his family. He has to be strong, and he will be, for their sake.

Name: Dustin *DJ* Jacobs
Age: 17
How they feel: He doesn't want his father to die. He already lost his mom, does he really need to loose his father too?
Personality: They say being the middle child takes alot out on a person. That is such the case with Dustin Jacobs. He enjoyed being the youngest before Saralyn came along. He was the sweetest little child before Saralyn came. When she came though, he changed a little. He didn't like that he wasn't getting the attention anymore. He's one of those people who crave attention from everyone around him. He's not an attention hog or anything. He just likes attention and when Saralyn came around, he didn't get alot of it and he kind of resented his parents for that. He liked being the baby. Did they really need Saralyn? DJ went through the typical 'rebel to try and get attetion' stage when he was around 10. He never grew out of his stage because he noticed that it worked. Yes, that's why he is the rebel is today. To get attention. He's a rebel with a heart though because he loves his family and he grew to love his little sister, even though she got all the attention.
History: DJ was born the middle child. The often neglected child. That wasn't true with his family. His parents gave equal attention to DJ and both his siblings. Though he still felt the need to rebel just to get the extra attention that he needed. His little rebelion act somewhat cooled down when the accident happened. The greiving process was kind of long for him. In truth, he's still not over it but he acted like it didn't bother him any more after a while and he was back to his tough guy act. With everyone paying attention to Saralyn again, he got back into his rebel act to get attention. He started drinking a bit around that time. He didn't get the point that he was an alcoholic but he did fancy drinking to anything else in his life. He only does it casually really. He's not compulsive about it or anything. When he found out his father was dying, he started drinking more. Everything just hit him all at once and he kind of shut down. Got closed off. He barely talks anymore. He doesn't want to believe it's happening. He thinks it's all a big dream. Soon, his father will die and he'll be parently less. Oh yes, it's all a big dream.

TB: MoonSwirl
Name: Saralyn Jacobs
Age: 12
How they feel?: She's pretty much in denial about her father's situation, so the whole thing is like a vacation to her.
Personality: Saralyn has been "little one" her whole life, with her parents and her older brothers always watching over her. It doesn't bother her, she really enjoys it sometimes. With them she knows she'll always have someone there for her. Still she does get tired of it all sometimes. Beyond her family, Saralyn is pretty... well, hyper. She hardly ever stands still and doing that is usually torture for her. She's very inquisitive, no shyness at all about her. She has no problem going up to people she doesn't know and asking them questions. It doesn't mean she'll talk to any stranger. She has the common sense to recognize someone potentially dangerous and keep away. She doesn't like "bad things". It often gets to the point of major and total denial of anything being wrong. The harder she ignores though, the harder she'll fall when she's forced to face reality at last.
History: Saralyn was born the third and last of the Jacobs children. She had a relatively normal life for the first eight years of her life. One day she was driving home from soccer practice with her mom. The other driver never even slowed down. Saralyn and her mom were hit. Mrs. Jacobs died on impact, while her daughter got away with a broken leg and a two-day coma. It took a while for her to recover, and not just physically. As much as she tried to deny it had happened, she couldn't - the nightmares wouldn't let her. She became much more attached to her brothers and her father. She can't play games that involve balls, soccer or otherwise. It traumatizes her, makes her think of the accident. She's abandoned soccer and has become involved in music. She plays violin and has become very good. Still, she can't fully deal with this "new life". Most of all, she refuses the idea of her father ever dating anyone. Now, with the development of her father's illness, she is slowly being told about what's to come. She's still not quite there.

He hopes that going to this camp will help the family during this process. Malcolm has all the faith in the world that his family will endure his passing. And he knows that his eldest son is more than capable of looking after his brother and sister, though willing may be a different story.

Name: Marshall *Mars* Morrington-Devlin

OOC: Mmmmm Denzel I'm very happy he's my future hubby
