I wonder if after tomorrow's episode we'll have a bit more of an idea of what's going to happen with Paily? MK tweeted E/A are going to talk about their kiss at some point & it kind of makes sense with Em seeming to question/confront Ali that perhaps that'll be the time to talk it all through?

I think tomorrow will be the episode, for sure. I hate to guess as to what's gonna happen, because no one even knows with these writers. But ...

I too very much believe this conversation is happening in the next episode. From previews and pictures it looks to me like Spencer and Emily could possibly have an argument about Ali (though I'd rather it be Em opening up), but by the end of the episode Emily has come to finally realise a few things about her feelings, and tells Alison exactly what those are.

Emily's confusion has been building since the start of 4B and it really is time the show finally dealt with it. We've now had a seasons worth of Emily acting this way and I for one am ready to see it properly addressed. Something has to finally snap into place for Emily.

So very, very much this. I want Emily back. I know some people liked the take down of Sydney, but I really didn't, it wasn't strong it was mean & vindictive (I do get why she went off on her, but not the manner in which it was done.)

I think it's time to resolve the A/E thing one way or another. It's dragging on too long. Partly because I just want all the horrible, horrible ship-wars to stop/calm down (or at least ABCF social media to stop promoting the battle so vociferously); partly because I need to know where Paily stand.

I agree. When I saw the Emily/Sydney scene, I felt more vicariously embarrassed for her than vindicated. This was NOT my concept of a 'strong' Emily. I felt that her dialogue was clearly intended to conjure up images of what Paige had done to her...but....well, I guess that's the whole point.

Paige herself has gone through this incredible evolution, in large part because she was able to recognize how her fear could so easily twist her into something dark and terrifying. She saw it in herself, she sees it in Mona, and now here we have it with Emily right in front of us. Mona can't or won't recognize it. Maybe she's just too far gone. But will Emily see what is happening to her? How long will it take for her to recognize how she has been treating people?

Really the conversation HAS to happen in tonights episode. Even though the 'triangle' wasn't really so much of a triangle in the end, Emily still has been dealing with her unresolved feelings for quite some time now and that storyline needs some closure. From the minute she found out Alison has been alive she has been all over the map with everybody. It's clearly starting to take a toll on her, probably even more so than she herself realized. The blowup at Sydney was IMO Emily finally starting to snap. Everyone she has trusted has thrown in back in her face in one way or another, Paige included sadly, and I think it's wearing on her.

I think it's more than about time to show Emily really thinking and talking about it all and how she feels. I would love for Spencer to be the one for Emily to express it all to, not only because she is the only one looking at everything without blinders, but also because I think it would be a sweet throwback to season 3 when Em was there for Spencer after the whole Toby thing.

As for the reunion and my hopes...I just want it happen. How, when, why and where doesn't really matter. I just want to see some build up in the episode before it happens and for jesus sakes can Emily tell Paige she loves her? Please? That's all I really want; confirmation that Emily is going back with Paige because she loves her and not because Alison is A. This 'triangle' needs to end this half of the season.

This has been a bizarre interpretation of a 'love' triangle. I think this is partly why E/A couldn't work in the confines of the show. The LIs are the liars' safe places & although they bring their own drama they also offer a counterpoint to the madness. To have Em with Ali thrusts that relationship too much to the fore & doesn't give Em any breathing space - & we've seen this last season/half-season how that's affecting her. I just don't think it could work narratively as it gives the love story too much importance & the focus should be on the mystery. Plus Ali's shady as hell, so ...

Exactly. And Bryan Holdman said, so long ago (or so it seems!), that this wouldn't be a conventional love triangle. He said it would be a triangle between love and friendship, and that's exactly what it's been.
