Guys, I'm so sorry that I haven't been online since Thursday but unfortunately, my internet connection is acting up once again. I can't go online, I can't watch tv (I have internet tv) and the telephone is not working either. I suspect that these problems are caused by the severe thunderstorms we are having, but I don't know that for sure. Anyways, I have tried to get in contact with my internet provider several times, but that has proven to be useless, too. They always place me on hold (I can't wait to see my mobile phone bill next month ) and when I do get through, they don't tell me anything of substance, anyways. I don't know when I'll be back, but considering that this ****ty weather is supposed to continue until Wednesday, it could be a while.

That sucks, Alex. No tv is doable, no internet is a pain, but having not even the phone means being completely cut off - very rude of the company's customer service to leave you to that without even trying to get deeper into the matter. :/
Hopefully the lines will get fixed soon.

Hi guys! I'm just popping in briefly to give you an update on my situation. According to my internet provider, the lines are fine and the problem has to lie elsewhere. Since then, I have tried to reconfigure the router, switched out all cables and tried out a different router altogether and nothing has done the trick. At this point, I'm completely out of ideas as to what the issue could be and frankly, I'm also very annoyed. I don't know how you are holding up in terms of post counts, but if the situation is critical, it might be wise to get an MST because at the rate things are going, my absence might drag on for another week or 2.

Hey Alex! Sorry to hear you haven't figured out yet the roots of the issue, I know how frustrating it is to be without connection and having no idea when you'll be back online - especially because the company didn't give you any input and you're left to try things out by process of elimination. Are you thinking of calling a technician to have a look at the situation?
I hope whatever it is, it gets fixed soon! Thanks for keeping us updated.

I'm back! The technician was finally here today (he was supposed to be here on Friday already but didn't show up) and figured out the root of the problem. Turns out, there was a problem with the phone link-up. Now that everything is sorted, I can finally post again.
