It was definitely a challenge and I'm not gonna lie, I cussed a lot during those 3 weeks, Luckily, I still had my mobile phone so I could still make and receive some calls. It's just annoying when you have to call a service hotline via mobile phone because the charges are exponentially higher - especially when you're calling from a different mobile phone network. Losing the TV signal bothered me the least because German TV is unwatchable anyway. It just sucked that it had to happen while the Euro 2016 was going on, but I still got to see some matches at a nearby sports bar, so not all was lost.

Going old school never disappoints - sport matches watched at the bar can be lots of fun with the right crowd.

The week sucked due to many little nuisances here and there, and the anxiety over my mother's check-up this Friday mounting. Aaaaand today I had the lovely surprise of spending 2 hours with my dad at the ER because the hernia he got surgery for last May is giving him issues again. Tomorrow is his birthday and we have to spend the last morning talking to the surgeon.
Just... give us a break, 2016.

Thanks! He's getting a second surgery tomorrow. and I've got my mom's brain scan, too.
I'm so anxious.

My dad had the surgery and it went well eventually, although being the second operation in less than two months he had to spent a longer time in the hospital and now he'll have to be even more careful with taking care of himself.
My mom's brain scan seems to show a positive progress, too, although we can't speak until the neurosurgeon checks the results out.

I'm crazy tired, sorry again if I haven't been online. Hopefully now that my dad is back home I can post daily again.
Sleep deprivation won't bring me down.

Aww, Fran. No need to worry about the board or how much you are around. Family is so much more important than this. I'm glad to hear that your dad's second surgery went well and that your mother's health seems to be on the up and up. And before I forget it, my parents send their warmest regards to you and your family.

I've been mostly watching the cycling road races and the equestrian events. (I love to spend hours watching those events). I have also been watching bits of other sports including swimming and tennis.
