I still don't think a lot of people know what Wildland firefighters are exactly, I certainly didn't before the movie.

I knew about Smokejumpers but not specifically wildfire fighters, although I assumed they were the same thing.

I just don't really remember forest fires being a huge thing growing up. Like sure you'd hear about it occasionally but not like you do now.

Wildfires are a very real thing around here and not just contained to the mountain areas anymore so I have all the respect for the guys out there keeping these fires contained. I wasn’t aware of what they did either until watching Only the Brave but I hope it brought some awareness to how dangerous & strenuous of a job it really is.

I guess when I did see these guys in their yellow shirts I always just assumed they brought them in, like kind of like a swat team, like they were just regular firefighters but in addition they did this on the side.

So it genuinely was interesting to see this portrayed on screen.

Jake Picking is starring in a new series for Apple TV called The Greatest Beer Run Ever. It’s based on a true story and also stars Zac Enron. I would totally watch it but I don’t have Apple TV anymore.

I feel like Jake’s career is kinda taking off lately. He starred in First Lady followed by a cameo in Maverick, not a bad year for him. I wish Taylor was more open to doing different things and stopped being so picky. He could absolutely do these roles and would be just as good as Jake if not better.

Jake is doing well to spread himself out in smaller supporting roles, it gives me Sebastian Stan vibes. Taylor was everywhere in big leading roles fast, others had a slow burn and it worked to their advantage.
