Wow, they are still filming!
Steve Mason @iamSteveMason And here we go... The last week of filming #TheAffair #Season2 #SarahTreem #SHO_TheAffair #JeffreyReiner https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CR1jSgIUYAA25DQ.jpg |
I thought they were finished because Sarah said good-bye in a Tweet, but now that I think about it, she said good-bye to Montauk, so that didn't really mean good-bye to filming.

Well, i guess they are going to shoot scenes from the present. I still hope to see them filming Scotty's funeral, anyway. |

Well we have the Courthouse stuff as proof by that latest pic.
So sad that Scotty died. |

A lot of comments on the forums about people preferring Helen and Cole's POVs even though this week's episode saw quite a bit of an increase in overnight ratings. Maybe last week's dip was due to all the other factors and not just lack of interest in Cole?
I think this season Sarah decided to go with the 'everyone hates Noah' thing, at least for now - it's almost universal dislike! |
Sky is advertising The Affair by showing clips of all four characters - it is also using The Affair to push itself by saying you can only get The Affair on Sky (Atlantic), so they must think it is popular, to use it as an incentive to change to Sky tv and on-line Sky tv.

Josh is on set :)

I can honestly see how the numbers went down for E2 because it was a Holiday weekend in both Canada and the US and they are on the same viewing schedule. I do hope it goes back up though. I am liking S2 better than S1, but I think it's because I'm more invested in the storyline than I was in S1. S1 for me was all about seeing Josh in a new show, whereas S2 is actually wanting to know where the story is going and all of bits of info that we are getting, is making it seem more interesting. Ooo, Josh/Cole is wearing a suit. Back in Court I see. Well that and the building behind him. |

There was a drop from the finale numbers in season 1, but the premiere figures weren't too bad. However, looks like a lot of people decided not to go forward with the show after that. Even if you didn't want to watch Cole in episode 2, people would come back for Noah/Alison. They did get a rise, but not the numbers that watched the premiere. So, the live numbers have dropped off quite a bit for this season it seems, at this stage. They might pick up later in the season when they focus more on Scotty's killer. You also have to factor in L3 numbers and L7 numbers as well. It's the total number of people watching, not so much when. I'd be surprised if the decision for renewal/cancellation came before the whole second season airs. They would probably want to see how the show goes for the whole season before making a decision. |
