How many nominations does a fic need to make it into the nominee list? I think last time it was three.

Also, when nominating could you leave as many fields blank as you want, or what's the deal? [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

yeah, three sounds about right, that's what i remember.

i'm not sure about nominating, but for voting you could only leave 2 fields blank. that seems like a good number to keep, so i vote we leave it at that.

That sounds pretty good. Maybe nominations can just be open with no restrictions on blanks, but once the shortlist has been established you can only leave out a few. Does that sound all right?

Also, d'you reckon the 'best feedbacker' category ought to be optional? It just doesn't seem very fair to me if someone doesn't get feedback from those nominated, but if they leave the field blank they lose one of their 'blanks' that they may have wanted to use elsewhere.

I remember that last year people could e-mail the nominees and they would send them some of the feedback they had written...maybe we can publish the feedback on the SOA site this year?
