I have a question about this year's categories. Last year, we had:

Best Conventional Couple Story
Best Unconventional Couple Story
Best Multi Couple/Other Story
Best Slash Story
Best Adult Story
Best Character Portrayal
Best Original Character
Best Angst/Saddest Story
Best Short Story
Best Songfic
Best Challenge Response
Best Overall Story
Best Unfinished Story
Best Author
Best Feedbacker

As far as I can see, we can get more than one nominee in each category except Best Adult and Best Songfic...what do you think, should we leave these two (or others) out? Any other ideas/suggestions?

Condense, condense, condense, I guess. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Songfic and short story are usually interchangeable. I'm not sure what'd happen with Adult fics though. I haven't seen an adult YA fic in a long time.

Anyway, is the general consensus that only fics written after SOA3 will be eligible? Or am I just imagining that part? [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I think she means there have been one or less songfics/adult fics written in the last year or whatever time period we're looking at. Which means, if we only open eligibility to that time period, the categories are kinda going to be useless because people can only nominate the one story. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

and i gues you have to ask Troy about when the fics have to have been published to be eligible, though after last year's awards sounds the most logical...........where is Troy, anyway? i'll ask her later if she comes round about it though, then she can post up later [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

So what fics are eligible to be nominated if we cut off at the SOA3s?

I know my episodes from 406 onwards were written after SOA3, as well as the ficlet The Other Side;

NB has Junior Year ep #15 Go as well as the War and Love trilogy;

Up at ff.net are Friends but are we by Orton, Bonds by TwirlyGirly2K, Shades of Grey by Shace, and These Days by Princess Lollipop.

and i won't finish MMTM, but my last chapter of bonds will be up before the end of next week - hooray! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
