Script writer Jon Spaihts replied to someone again about Passengers, not much but I really hope he is involved in the production so we will get some tweets during the production like Emma Freud did with About Time:

Director Brian Kirk will give a training/masterclass this week in Ireland:

Screen Training Ireland part of the Irish Film Board with the support of the MEDIA programme of the European Union, will deliver module 2 of the VFX: Scrip to Screen programme in Dublin from the 21st – 23rd of November 2013.

The location VFX shoot on module 2 will be helmed by Irish director, Brian Kirk and VFX supervisor Ed Bruce. Brian Kirk’s Middletown was nominated for 9 IFTA awards and his second feature Passengers will star Keanu Reeves and Rachel McAdams. That new release date defiantly makes more sense. I bet it will probably take a whole year to add all those effects.

I noticed this IMDB triva:

Tracking board reported in 2011 that Emily was in talks for the project. I mentioned this before, but I love (most of) Emily's career choices, so this makes me more excited.

It's also funny and a coincidence that Emily and Rachel probably met for the first time earlier this month because her husband John is co-starring with Rachel.

I always wonder if people from the industry talk about people/films they have in common. I imagine they probably have more things to talk about than that, but it is quite interesting that they got to meet and that Emily was attached to Rachel's next project.

Interesting that they are looking for 'lead' roles, I haven't read the script yet but I got the impression that for most of the movie it's only Rachel, Keanu and a robot?
